We have added a few things to the requirements to power and ability upgrades. Be sure and read the details in the most recent update when you request a new power / upgrade.
Well, its the weekend here at MHS. Wouldn't it be great if all schools started on a Friday for the first day of school. What a way to start off. You get a weekend right after your first day. Well, this is because we are done with the first day of class. How so you ask. As you only went to one class. yes, but I am sure that doing the same thing for each class would get boring. So the one class you experienced is basically how all the classes are going to be.
Teacher posts role. Day gets started, end of class happens, everyone goes to their next class, or home..
Well, ezboard still hasn't confirmed anything on a final date when everything is changed over to Yuku. And we are working on what to do next. We all want user friendliness after everything is changed away from Ezbaord, and we are trying everything we can to ensure that we have just that when we are at a new board hosting site.
We have a guest book. Take a look. If you haven't taken a look yet, be sure and do so. ^_^

Kobita kept his eyes on the sand in front of him. It was an easy place to have them. He felt somewhat secure when he just looked at the ground. He wasn't entirely sure why.
His head rose and he looked over at V. "Why do you want to know?" It wasn't that she shouldn't ask...he just never expected that kind of question out of her. "I mean...you've never asked a question like that before."
Re: Dark (OPEN)
"I just wanted to," she says. And Genevieve is enough of a spoiled brat (rich is a word people use for her family's servants, say) that the statement sounds quite natural when she says it. Her lack of selfconsciousness is at once incredibly telling and damning. For those who are looking for a reason to damn. I just wanted to know.
"I won't ask you again," she adds. A promise not to pry, at least not directly; at least not through Kobita himself. Of course, there's more; there usually is. But, V doesn't say anything else at the moment.
Re: Dark (OPEN)
Kobita smiled. He wasn't sure why he asked her questions back anymore. All he got was something equivalent to "I just wanted to know." Wasn't much point to a question in which the answer is already known. But then again, since when did everything have to have a point.
"It's ok." His words were calm as the smile still resided on his face. "You can ask questions...I don't mind giving answers. Its just I've never heard you ask a question about my or any one elses powers. It was just surprising."
Re: Dark (open)
"Ah." V stretches her arms over her head (reach, reach, reach toward the gunmetal grey of the sky) and arches her back, then lets one arm drop, fingertips curling between her shoulderblades, and tugtugs on the elbow. "Who made your arm?"
Re: Dark (open)
Kobita looked away felt heat rushing to his face as it turned one shade redder. His gaze slowly inched back as she stretched behind her back, his throat emitting a light chuckle.
"I don't know." He said in response to her question. "I never met the man. He's one of the people that we "hired" for around Germany. I don't know much more about him than that."
Re: Dark (open)
"Ah." V releases her elbow, then lifts her other arm, tugs on the other one; her fingers curl. Milk pale, and luminous; how she doesn't look dead is a mystery. Then she begins to unwind the red scarf wrapped around her throat. Unwind. Unwind. Unwind. There sure is a lot of scarf. The splash of vivid color isn't usual for V, but it isn't unheard of. Her attention is divided so many times during the day; where's a mathematical genius to calculate the number when you need one?
Re: Dark (open)
Kobita let out a small yawn as she began to unravel her scarf. It wasn't that what she was doing was boring, he was simply tired. He was surprised at the color of the scarf though, it wasn't something he would have suspected her to wear. She was full of surprises today.
Kobita hopped off the rock, landing with a little jump. He needed to get a little more oxygen to his brain. "Why do you want to know who made my arm?" The first question was weird that she asked about his powers, but who made his arm didn't seem like something very important.
Re: Dark (open)
"Maybe I would like one," she says, with the faintest impression of a grave smile; it's no smile at all. V snakes the scarf around her waist, so it's a belt; it hangs off the rock, a bloody spill of colour, and she doesn't stop it from hanging in the gritty lakeshore sand. "To defend myself."
Which isn't exactly true, but it always takes so much effort to get V to answer anything directly; more effort than Kobita is usually willing to put in.
Re: Dark (open)
Kobita, somehow, managed to half-way roll his eyes, half-way smile, and half-way sigh all at the same time. It looked more like his head lolled to the side and he sighed, but there was a smile evident and his eyes did move a tad.
He knew she didn't give him a straight answer, there was a good chance she didn't even give him an honest answer. As usual however, he didn't have the motivation to pry it out of her.
"I wouldn't reccomend it." He replied calmly. He decided to instead adress what she said as opposed to what she most likely meant. "Its a painful experience...and I'd rather see you in as little pain as possible."
Re: Dark (open)
"But I'd like to be able to defend myself," she says, quiet. Her voice is almost completely subsumed by the surf, lapping against the shore; that's the wind, again; a sudden white radiance of sunlight, etching everything into uber-clarity. V's glance drops, down to her hands, which she holds out in front of her. Dusts her thumb over her fingertips to dislodge any grains from the stone. "It's made out of a special metal, isn't it? An uncommon metal?"
Kobita watched silently as she held her hands out and claimed that she wanted to defend herself. He could understand the though, but he wasn't sure if getting her arm replaced would be a good idea. He knew it would hurt if she got the operation and the last thing he wanted was for V to be hurt. "It's an unusual one, they didn't give me specifics like a name. They just told me what it could do."
He smiled and placed his hands over her's, quite similar to the slapping game. "but I prefer this one..." He tapped her palm with his left hand "...to this one. This one can feel, I can tell if something is cool or warm. This one I can only feel something pushing against it, nothing more."
"If you want to be able to defend yourself, choose a method which doesn't cost so much." A warm smile came on his face as he continued. "And you always have me and everyone else here for you, you don't need one of these."
Re: Dark (open)
A silence. V tries to frame what she wants to say, and how to say it. Her expression is at its most inscrutable; protective camoflauge. "So, you can't feel this at all?" She twists the hand under his metal hand, and twines her (flesh and bone and blood) fingers with his (less so flesh and blood and bone) own; serious and cool. Typically, she doesn't say anything to his last assertion. Except, "Nobody can always be with me."
Then, a slight, luminous smile (see, she can thaw) - "I only ask because," here, this is how she'll say it, "I heard that somebody saw a device which could supposedly make this metal," squeeze, which he might not feel, of his metal hand, "react."
There. She has done her best to impart a shadow rumour without letting on how she came across it. In the process, she has made little to no sense.
Re: Dark (open)
Kobita shook his head as she moved his metal hand around and intwined it with her own fingers. He could feel her pushing and pulling the arm, since it was attached to him, but feelings such as warm or cool or smooth or rough were void in his right arm. It wasn't something he particularly liked, but he couldn't deny that it was useful.
He would have said something like "I'll do my best to be." but the thought was cut off with her next statement. What did she mean by "react"? On a side note, he did feel the pull of her squeezing his hand, but not the actual squeeze itself.
Re: Dark (open)
"I don't know; I'm only repeating a rumour," she says, quiet. Lets her hand slip, slide away from his cold metal fingers. They might articulate like a human's, but they're not, are they? "Like a magnet, maybe," she adds, and she glances toward the lake, far off and away.
Re: Dark (open)
Kobita let her hands fall away and he gaze avert to the lake. While he was worried about what she was thinking, as he was always worried about what she was thinking, the prospect of a magnet that was made to target his arm was...frightening at best.
Kobita followed her gaze out at the lake. "Well, then you definately wouldn't want one." He said quietly as he focused mostly on the still body of water.
"V...thanks for telling me about it." The warm smiled was back on his face as he watched the water.
Re: Dark (open)
"You're welcome." V inclines her head, as an empress might, to acknowledge the alms of a beggar. She doesn't mean to. She just does. Distanced; removed. She keeps her gaze on the lake, too; tries to make out the shapes on the other side of it. "Please don't tell anybody I told you."
Re: Dark (open)
Kobita nodded in assurance that he wouldn't tell anyone of his informant. He had nothing to gain by ratting her out to the people who might be trying to kill him anyway. H'ed be trading a friend to the enemy, not only could he never do that, but he also wouldn't be getting a thing out of it.
His gaze shited from the lake, to the dirt in front of him, then to V's turned and inclined face. "V...about that day on the roof..." He gulped as he tried to find the right words to use. "If I did anything...that you didn't want or you weren't ready for then...I'm sorry..."
Re: Dark (open)
"Don't be," she says, and the words slice across his attempt at apology. Yes, it is a demand: Don't you dare be sorry.
Then: stormy silence. Oh, silence has a texture now. She doesn't look as if she can be stormy, with her carved from light features; her too bright hair and too gold eyes. But, there it is; she hops off the rock.
The red scarf puddles at her feet and she gathers it up and off the sand. She tucks a strand of hair behind one ear. "I told you."
Re: Dark (open)
Kobita's head hung as she forcefully told him not to be. It almost sounded like a threat. He quickly shook the prospect off as he watched her hop off the rock.
Kobita wasn't informed that stormy was a texture. Or even if stormy would be a word to describe silence at all. He simply watched as she hopped off the boulder and tucked the strand of golden hair behind her ear. She then spoke again, continuing the theme of barely saying anything.
Kobita smiled a smile of half relief and half happiness. Both of which resulted in happiness. Kobita's smile was followed by a light smirk. "I'm sorry for apologizing then."
Re: Dark (open)
Inhale. She holds her breath carefully; does not let it sing from her lungs. Her blood still rushes because her heart still pumps, so she's not entirely silent; just as quiet as she can be. A vee of geese, black writing across the gray sky, fly toward the warmer south. Unmelodic honking. V, etched profile, watches Kobita over her shoulder. His smile; his smirk.
