We have added a few things to the requirements to power and ability upgrades. Be sure and read the details in the most recent update when you request a new power / upgrade.
Well, its the weekend here at MHS. Wouldn't it be great if all schools started on a Friday for the first day of school. What a way to start off. You get a weekend right after your first day. Well, this is because we are done with the first day of class. How so you ask. As you only went to one class. yes, but I am sure that doing the same thing for each class would get boring. So the one class you experienced is basically how all the classes are going to be.
Teacher posts role. Day gets started, end of class happens, everyone goes to their next class, or home..
Well, ezboard still hasn't confirmed anything on a final date when everything is changed over to Yuku. And we are working on what to do next. We all want user friendliness after everything is changed away from Ezbaord, and we are trying everything we can to ensure that we have just that when we are at a new board hosting site.

Darrien sat still as she played through his locks of rainbow hair, simply basking in the attention. As common as it was to be the center of attention, from one or from a group, Darrien never got tired of any of it. "Don't suppose you'd believe me if I told you it was natural eh?" Illiciting laughs, rule 31 in the grand guide to flirting. Knowledge built in at birth, a luxury to some, a burden to others. In Darrien's case, luxury to him, burden to everyone else.
"So where is it you came from, miss Kae?" Faked sincerity. Another in a list of his many talents. But was it fake? With the way he passed from sincere to pompous with the fluidity of a calm river.

Kae's blue eyes grew wide at this comment. "Natural!?" She gazed at his colorful hair again, wondering how he could have possibly gotten hair like this naturally. She wondered if his parents owned the same rainbow of colors growing from their heads as well.
"So where is it you came from, miss Kae?" Darrien said, diverting Kae's attention from his hair.
"Oh," Kae began, "I came from California, but my father came here from Japan." For some reason, Kae felt a small bit of pride in the fact that her parent came from another country across the sea, especially one that was so rich in culture. Her Japanese heritage was obvious in her features; smooth black hair, slightly tan skin... But the American part of her showed as well in her blue eyes and sparse freckles (though the freckles were not that dark and they hardly stood out much at all against her cheeks).
Kae looked to her left and saw her light green towel laying off to the side a just a little bit with a pair of denim shorts and a pink shirt. She leaned over and reached her arm out, clutching the towel in her fingers and pulling it over to where she sat. She flattened it out against the ground and sat on it so that she wouldn't get dirt stuck to the swimsuit she was still wearing. She bent her legs so that her knees were facing the sky, her legs pulled in close to her belly. She wrapped her arms around her legs and pushed her wet hair to one side.
"So, where are you from?" she asked.
(OOC: I won't be online for a couple of days from now, okay? I'll be on later tonight (October 27) but that will be it at least until late on October 29)

Such fun for a first encounter, formal conversations made the getting to know process smoother and faster. Much like an interview, "Where are you from?", "What's your name?", and "Do you have any pets?" weren't questions to be asked at a time other than an inaugural meeting, thus getting them all in before one had a chance to leave was important.
"It's hard to say where I'm from exactly, we've moved all over the state of New York. Most recently, prior to my coming here, we lived in a small town upstate in a hotel while my father sorted out what to do with me. Alas, my family squabblings have no place in civilized conversation."
Had Darrien decended from some proper royal family? His speech had the air to it, that's for certain, but his look seemed to be the opposite of the role.
"Movies? I generally prefer action/comedies like Rush Hour and stuff. Can't be too serious, but you can't just goof around either."

Kae listened intently to what Darrien was saying about his past homes and family. She was glad that she lived peacefully with her parents in one place for a long time without much trouble. She felt sorry that his past family life wasn't as nice as hers.
After Jun-Bo asked about movies and Darrien answered, Kae explained her own favorites; "I like comedies the best, because they always make me laugh and smile and feel good. Scary movies can also be fun to watch because they're so surprising at times." Kae liked a variety of movies, but she preferred watching them in the theatre. Something about watching movies at home seemed boring and a waste of time to her; she'd much rather be out doing things than sitting and watching a screen.
"What kind of movies do you like?" she asked Jun-Bo.

*As they spoke about their lifes and pasts he listened. It was interesting that people opened up when you ask the right questions. Some people did not know how to keep secerts and some could.*

"I agree," Kae told him. She enjoyed doing pretty much anything if she was with friends.
Kae watched him moved around in the lake, then beckoned him over asking, "Do you want to come out and sit over here with us?" She still had her arms wrapped around her raised knees as she sat on her towel at the edge of the water.
"What are your thoughts on food?"
"Ummm..." Kae thought about it. "Food is pretty good... I don't have a very big appetite, but I do enjoy eating food, as long as it tastes good." She thought about some of her favorite things to eat: ice cream, that chicken pasta with the creamy white sauce, and of course pizza... She loved to eat food just because of its many delicious tastes. "What about you?" she asked.

*He spun in the water listening just about when he was asked to join them. With a smirk he started to swim towards them, but if you watched him he spun in the water and spun to the right so his back then his stomach was up and then his back again. He grinned as he came to the shore.*
"Sure. I would have to say pizza is one of my favorite, but Japanese food is my favorite since it is my home food. Maybe I will have you two over and cook for you some time."
*He got up and moved out of the water and moved over sitting down. There was a breaze blowing by at this time. He smirked and thru his head back allowing the hair to fly back with a smirk.*

Kae nearly jumped off her towel at this comment, saying, "I love Japanese food! My dad would make it all the time for us at home. While he lived in Japan, he learned a lot of their recipes, and I've always loved eating them at home, especially sushi and meso soup." She smiled brightly at him. "I would love it if you made Japanese food for me, especially if you taught me how to make it, too." The idea of eating food her father used to make with one of her new friends was very exciting, and learning to make it herself would be even better. It would make MHS seem more like a home to Kae, and it would make her feel as though her parents were always there for her somehow.

After spacing out for a bit, Darrien noticed he was engaged in conversation with a couple of his fellow students. "As far as food goes, I'm partial to anything natural. Sushi, sashimi, salads, fruit, anything that's not preserved really."
His shoulders twitched slightly, flexing the muscles across his chest into tight, defined groups. "Have either of you been to Manhatten?"

"Yeah," Kae agreed. Fresh, natural food was always really good. It always made her feel good after she ate it.
"Have either of you been to Manhattan?"
"No," Kae said. "I've only heard of it." Kae had never traveled very much, and it would've been hard for her to visit Manhattan since she grew up in California on the other side of the country.
"Have you?" she asked him.

Besides if he had a good meal prepaired for them, they might be good company for a while. When asked about the place he thought about it for a moment. He had been there before but not for long.*

His family's inabailty to stay put for more than a few months had made Darrien's childhood not at all like a storybook. He didn't mind, his uniqueness was his appeal, and he knew it.

"Sounds neat," Kae said after listening to them talk about their visits. "I wish I could see it."
Kae stretched her legs out in front of her, letting the sun embrace them with warmth. She was just about dried off at this point except for her hair, which still clung to her back slightly, dropping small water droplets down her skin. She pushed her dark hair away from her face, then leaned back against her towel, her arms folded comfortably behind her head and her shimmering blue eyes hidden by her closed eyelids.

*He closed his eyes and looked to the sky. It was interesting having the sun shining down on his face. It did not at all feel bad. It was just different because he normal like nights better. But he was enjoying the sun this day. He listened to the sounds around him.*

Kae opened one eye as he said this. She looked at him from where she was laying against her towel as she considered what he said.
"Mmhmm," she agreed, closing her eye again and letting the sun warm her face as Jun was doing, though the sun warmed the rest of her body since she was stretched out on the ground.
What Jun said was true. Kae knew that there were many little things in nature that people tend to take for granted. For a moment, she let herself get lost in thoughts and the sounds of leaves, birds, and everything around her.

Nature's wonderment never ceases to amaze. One moment, the scene could be quiet, peaceful, and serene. A calm breeze blowing through a beautiful meadow, caressing the tiny blades of grass with its gentle fingers.
The next moment, everything can change. That gentle breeze could become a violent squall, the beautiful sunshine could turn to overcast gloom, even the calm waters of a lake or stream could become ravaged with waves if mother earth decided it so.
A brisk wind took to the atmosphere around the trio at the lake, and Darrien took notice rather quickly. "Looks like a storm's movin in, prolly got a good hour or so before it'll hit though. Might be about time to start thinking about taking this conversation to a new location, unless you prefer the rain."

Kae's quiet rest was interrupted by a cool breeze that swept across her body, which was still mostly exposed since she was still in her swimsuit. She shivered as she sat up and opened her eyes, wrapping her arms around her legs for warmth.

*As the breaze came across his body he smiled and laid there calmly, tell the others started to move. He then sat up and then stood looking to the other two with a smirk. He wondered where they could go.*
"Where are you interesting to moving this conversation to?"
*He looked up to the sky again and smiled as the sky seemed to shift colors ever so slightly. He thought it was properly just clouds starting to form.*

"That's fine with me," Kae answered, crossing her arms and pressing her legs together in an attempt to keep warm. When she arrived at the lake, it was fairly warm, so she only brought a short-sleeved shirt and denim shorts to wear. She hadn't expected it to get so chilly. She looked to Darrien to see his response to Jun-Bo's suggestion.
