Re: Duel of the Fates (Jun)
*As he rushed forward He reached out and blocked the fist pushing it to the side, and took the invisable on to the chest. As he got hit in the chest he leaned back and set his right hand down kicking at the hip of the young man. Then he flipped over to his left hand and attcked his stomach. He grunted in effort as he flipped him self again for the last attack and landed on his right hand, kicking him towards the chest.

The move was a good one that oftened allowed him to hit a person several time. He was just trying to land some blows while they were in close. It would not take much to finish this fight, but it was not his goal to end it quickly. He liked fighting some one with a new power, it allowed him to learn.*

We live so that way the energy of life can continue to use us to as carriers in the world. Each and ever person effects the flow of life energy in the world. If one person was removed, the flow would be altered and everyone in the world is effected even if only on the most basic level. Life is very nice that way. But there are some people out there who have bad chi or life flow and effect everyone in a bad way. They are the ones that need to be removed. When the balance between good and bad chi is upset nature changes. If it shifts to the good side, nature will grew and become stronger. The world becomes more pure and more close to natural. If it shifts to bad, the nature around us starts to die. It can cause the nature around us to rear up and attack us with storms and earthquakes.

Art took the hit to his hip, bemused. What kind of weird... He got hit in the stomach with the second blow, gasping involuntarily as the air was pushed out of him. Even after that, the fighter tried for a third blow at his chest, but by now the attack had slowed enough for Art to see it coming. He leaned back a little and grabbed the foot, yanking back. For lack of a better idea he simply held on, walking backward dragging Jun as he tried to think of something better to do.

*He smirked as the man got hit twice and he had expected the man to counter him with an attack. But instead he just got ahold of his foot and started to drag him backwards. He let him self be dragged as he used his free foot to slide between his fet and yank the back of his legs out from under him.

He waited for him to fall over, or if he was able to do something else. If the man fell on him he was going to roll the man over and atempt to pin the man. It was something that he thought would be fun.

He wondered about what to do next. If he did fall he would pin him and see what he could do. If he was not able to trip him he was going to try and flip backwards back to his feet.*

Arthur fell, only too glad to. Before he impacted, he tucked his hand under his rear. His ability activated, and a phantom hand dropped his entire weight straight unto the fighter's chest.

Using the jolt as a push, he rolled a few feet to the side. Ok, he hadn't heard or felt the ribs snap, and his hand now stung like the dickens. He wondered if he should have directed the blow towards the fighter's neck, of if it would have made any difference at all.

*The man landded on his chest. He exhaled as he did, slowly so that way he would not get his air knocked out of him or pop a lung. The man rooled over off of him. He fliped his legs the direction the man was rolling coming up to his knees. His eyes took in the details of what was going on, before he reached out towards the man to grab him and get ready to pull off another move.

He smiled lightly and wondered over what the man was going to do next. This fight had been more fun then, most of the fights he gets into, mainly because this was basics in their purest form. It was not changed by use of powers. It was one of the best training sections he had done in a while.*

Arthur let himself be grabbed. The hits he had taken were starting to ache, and the only real force he could use against the fighter was to redirect any attacks. Probably the man was going to throw him again, which Art could punish him for. If not, if he put him in a hold... Art would just have to give up. No way he had the strength to break out.

*Once he got ahold of the man. He just pined him. Not a hard pin, just one to pin the wrists down and then he smirked. He tilted his head to the side and wondered what the man was thinking about. He looked to the man's eyes.

He could see that the man was starting to ache. Peoples eyes showed alot, but the chi in the areas where he had been hit was slowing down and getting stopped. He knew all about the way chi worked and how it was needed in areas that had taken damage.*

"Well, well done."

*He smiled and waited to see what the man would say.*

His eyes were curiosly blank as Jun looked at him. They looked back at him as if counting out the remaining seconds of the fighter's life.

His reactions were light and easy, smiling up at the bigger boy. "Oh, I don't know about that. You ran me ragged and it doesn't look like I was even able to scratch you. I was completely overmatched."

*He smiled lightly as the man looked up at him and seemed like he was going to be alright. He let him go and stood up. The young kid was talking about the fight and he chuckled. He held down a hand to the youngster to help him up.*

"Not many people can go head to head with me and defeat me. But I will be honest that I enjoyed this fight alot more then most of them I fight. Most people make things rely too much on powers. It was alot of fun and good training to rely on skills only."

*After he picked the man, he looked him over. He smirked and shrugged lightly. He wondered if he had any places that he could use some help healing*

"You hurting?"

Well, the fighter was at least a really good sport about everything. Art took the man's hand gladly, lightly pulling himself up. Quickly, his fingertips ran over his own body, lightly probing for blood or other serious problems with any place he had gotten hit.

"Well, yeah... my abilities are pretty weak, and it didn't look like you even needed any at all. Strong wit or..." he gestured at Jun, "strong muscles usually count for a lot more then some club of a trick a person can throw around."

"You hurting?"

"Not too much. I've had worse before." Art flexed his sore right hand. "Also, I've gotten used to a lot worse then this. Lot of guys I've known would be trying to stab me right about now."

*He nodded lightly. He wondered if the man truely thought his abilities were weak or if he knew that those abilities just needed to be trained to be used more and in better ways. He smiled as the man started looking for wounds, blood or anything like that.*

"I think it is quite the good power. A little more training and you should be very good with them. A tip, would be to learn to use them to parry ranged attacks and powers that attack from a distance. If you learn that, you powers will be very useful indeed."

*The man said he would be alright. He nodded lightly and watched the man. He smiled and tilted his head thinking.*

"The places that are bursing, make sure to rub them in a circluar motion. It may hurt, but it will keep the blood moving in those spots and keep the chi flow moving threw there. It will cut the healing time down, by no less then a day or two.

I have been training for combat for more years then you have been alive so I would not feel bad. Also my powers are made to make me hard to hurt and to allow me to fight against stronger enemys.

I also spend hours each day working out to keep this body in top condition. Maybe some people would, try to stab some one when they are down, but this was not a true fight, it was only a duel. So there is no reason for me to want to take your life. So it just means that once I win it is over.

By the way I am Jun-Bo Tsuen."

*He stuck out his hand again this time it was to shake hands. They had not greeted each other yet.*

He listened to Jun, absorbing the information as the older boy spoke. Sense was sense, and it was always wise to listen to the words of such an obvious expert. So he was older then he looked? Art wondered just how much older, and if he had any anti-aging tips he might let slip after a few drinks.

He grasped Jun's hand firmly, not wincing despite the fact his hand was still sore. "You sure won this time. My name is Arthur Wilborn, gentleman thief extrodinaire and occasional vagrant. It was truly a priviledge to match myself against such an able and honorable warrior as yourself."

*He shook the hand and looked slightly amused as the man, showered him in praise. It was odd having some one say things like that about him, true or not, he was just not use to it. He wondered lightly over what the man would like to know.*

"Hmm. I know another theif, her name is Ryoko. I am a samurai, and a Shih. I live for balance in the world."

*He smiled and waited to see if the man would look confused about the shih, almost no one knew what it was, for a good reason.*

"What else are you interested in? Let me know about your self."

So this guy knew Ryoko? Figured, a guy like him was probably more her speed. They could happily take turns abusing eachother without any worries at all...

"Hmm. I know another theif, her name is Ryoko. I am a samurai, and a Shih. I live for balance in the world."

"I've actually met Ryoko. She's a most charming lady." He tilted his head. "And I was not aware the world was in any danger of tipping over." Art was never confused by anything, but he sure didn't know what the heck the man was going on about.

"What else are you interested in? Let me know about your self."

"Hmm... well, I enjoy fine things for as long as they last, I bear depredation when I must, and I constantly wonder what the next moment will bring. I arrived here not long ago, and I have no idea how long it will be before the winds carry me away again. I still don't understand this place, but I learn more with each person I meet. At the moment, I believe it to be a place of... great extremes."

*Nodding he listened to the man speak about Ryoko and about the world tipping over. He chuckled lightly about it. It was some what a joke to him.*

"Aye she is a fire ball, with much fun to be had, if you make friends with her. And the balance I speak of is the balance that has to be keep between good and evil. In this world if one gets more powerful then the other, then the whole world changes. It can cause order or cause in this place. I work to keep it in balance."

*This man seemed alot more grown up then most did. He understood things better then most kids his age. He smiled and was interested in this kid. He showed great skills that could be honed.*

"True enough. Well I hope you are around here for a while. You have brought some interesting things to the school. I can tell this already."

"Aye she is a fire ball, with much fun to be had, if you make friends with her."

Well, maybe he had missed his chance there, but he wasn't into the kind of fun that featured himself as a hapless cat toy in the paws of a lioness. "Yeah, she had a lot of fun with me." Let him take that however he chose.

"The balance I speak of is the balance that has to be keep between good and evil. "

So this guy was, what, the morality police? As a general proposition, Art didn't approve of lawmen. Most of their time their function was to force the complience of the poor to the whims of the powerful. However, if this guy was working both sides, he probably at least had a sense of humor about it.

"So, which side are you working for at the moment? For good, or for evil?"

"True enough. Well I hope you are around here for a while. You have brought some interesting things to the school. I can tell this already."

"You are a most perceptive invidiual, my good sir. As one who enjoys the fine creations of others, I cannot help but assay my own humble efforts to the creation of similarly impressive works." Good thing he had spent all that time in the public library reading, or he'd never been able to pass off fancy talk like this.

*Listening to him, his words were quite interesting and stright forward. He did not read into the words the man said. He was ok with everything that was going on. If he had his way, all would be good.*

"Glad you had fun."

*He asked which side he was on. He thought about it. He did not so much switch sides as he just did what was needed at the time.*

"Neither, I work for both at all times. I just do what is needed at the time, to keep the balance."

*The man started speaking again and he found it a little odd that the man tried to use big impressive words to improve his imange. It was quite interesting. Most kids would not do this.*

"You seemed to be very knowledgeable in the english language and greater mannerism then most people at this school."

Ok... so that was a no on the sense of humor. "Well, I suppose that's noble work, however you manage it."

He was bemused as Jun caught him out. Well, no reason to stop. He didn't quite know why he had chosen this aspect to show right now, but somehow it just seemed right. "Evidence of a misspent youth, I fear. Entirely too much time spent reading until my skin was sallow and my constitution weak, as evidenced by my poor showing today, no doubt."

"Do you like where you are in life and who you have grown up to be?"

*He was going to point out something to the man, depend on what he answered. He was curious as to what the man would say. It was always good to hear what people would say.*

"Do you like where you are in life and who you have grown up to be?"

My, what an odd question It was deeply tempting to simply be flip and push it off, but by now the fighter deserved an honest answer from him. So he took several moments and thought about it. "I am happy with who I am, but not with where I was. That more then anything is why I have come here."

"If you want help training. I can help you."

Art smiled even wider. "That is most kind of you, sir. I should love that. Of course, not now, but it would certainly help. I've been feeling a bit... helpless, since my arrival. There are so many at this school who are most skilled."
