Re: The Song of the Sibyl (open)
But Karrody doesn't get to say much beyond speak now and or die. He is a focused creature, and has fastened on the object of his hunt with pitbull singlemindedness; no fault. He's hurt, all bloody and raw inside, his muscles are as weak as spaghetti. There's much to be said for strength of will. Not all of it good.

He never gets to finish his threat, for, while he can sidestep V, who doesn't touch him (a statue, because she remembers the last time he lost so much blood, and what happened after, what she heard happened after, and there's the struggle that Karrody doesn't see, between Tamotsu and Knives, which is graceful and quick and sharp to the heart), Karrody can't sidestep the half-transparent ghost girl.

And Knives flashes Tamotsu an apologetic look. The grim man is furious. He begins to make a series of gestures with his fingers, as rapid fire as a weaver's, and curiously stiff. "BE SILENT." This is shouted to Karrody, but the boy doesn't hear, or doesn't choose to listen, and Speak now, he says, Or die --

And the ghost girl acts. She's half-solid, half-transparent; able to fully interact with the world, but also untethered, uncaught. Too late to apologize, Knives. Too late. Her eyes go as blank as milk and she screams, "YOU DIE! YOU YOU YOU YOUYOU!" Each time she speaks, things crack and break; on the final shriek, there's enough force to send Knives, V, Tamotsu and Karrody all flying across the room and into the walls. Yes, she smiled once, at the spirit hunter; a strangely knowledgable look.

Old blood . . .

Spiders begin to pour from the cracks.

Re: The Song of the Sibyl (open)
Being flung against the wall hurts Karrody. Aswell, he is starting to get pissed off that all this is happening just for simple information. It could have been over, and he would have left the other vampire to his own devices from the start if he hadn't refused the offer of a peaceful exchange of information.

Not dropping hs blades, as he is unwilling to allow himself to do. Karrody now holds the blade in his right hand backwards. the blade pointing to the rear instead of forwards. Then he forces himself to stand. Anger and the sheer force of will feulong his movements. And of what he can force himself to do. He is almost done.

"Okay Spirit!" Karrody begins in a harsh tone. His injuries taking a toll on what he says, though it doesn't sap all his strength.

"You have two choices. Tell him to give me what I want to know, and this is over, meaning he lives. Or continue fighting against me. And he dies by my blade. You might succeed in killing me afterwards, but he will be gone from all forms of existence. I am sure you know that he has nowhere to go after he leaves here. So everything you will have done would have been useless." Karrody finishes. His right hand gripping the hilt of his balde strongly. "The choice is yours. Choose wisely."

Karrody's anger not willing to fade though his adrenaline is spent, and he can barely will himself to do what his anger allows him to do. He stands there in defiance to all the pain and the injuries that he has received.

Re: The Song of the Sibyl (open)
With a loud smack of flesh against tile, Knives hits the wall. Hard. And then, he falls forward, landing on the solid ground beneath. Again, hard. A loud groan of pain escaped him, as for a moment, he simply laid there. He'd been thrown into walls before, so it wasn't a new sensation; but the soreness that filled his body wasn't something he could ever learn to enjoy, either. So he attempted to wait it out, until the throbbing all over him went away. But it refused to.

So, finally, he let out another groan as he began scrambling to his feet. It took him a couple of moments, but finally he was standing up straight again. His sword arm hung at his side, but it wasn't limp; his muscles tensed, ready if he needed to attack again. His blue eyes landed on the ghostly girl before them, and he frowned. This wasn't going to be easy...Slowly, he turned to glance at the man that had joined them, the one they had been chasing. What was he here for?

And then, Karrody yelled at the vampire again. Another sigh escaped Knives, as he shook his head at the other student. That was obviously not a good idea, as was apparent by the way that they'd just hit the wall. But after the other man had yelled "be quiet," Knives knew better than to say anything. He just stood there, waiting. But he was ready if anything were to happen; his sword was now gripped in both hands, at a ready position, as he watched the others around him in anticipation.

Re: The Song of the Sibyl (open)

[V]

V and the wall say hello. It sounds a lot like smack, thump, drop. The spiders which are pouring from the cracks all appear to be poisonous black widows, livid red splashed on their backs, and the lovely golden-haired girl, as out of place in the haunted room as she is a friend to something like Karrody, takes a deep breath.

"Karrody, please -- quiet!"

[The Ghost Girl, Who Is Actually More Than A Ghost]

The ghost girl, who is actually more than a ghost lunges at Karrody, who doesn't, again, have any time to finish more than perhaps half a sentence of threat, her fingers become claws, and her feet don't touch the ground. The lunge is quicker than a blink, and if he doesn't dodge in time, which he might be able to do, although that will leave him vulnerable to a second attack, she will grab his throat and put the pressure on. Bones, snap, crackle, pop - like the cereal.

[Alexander]

Alexander didn't go flying into the wall. He was already against it, for one. He cracks his neck, and straightens, slightly, in response to all of Karrody's threats -- at least those Alexander's dead paramour doesn't stifle. His green eyes flicker to the others, those not his half-vampire nemesis.

"Defiant pup. We'll kill your friends, too. You should just leave now."

[Tamotsu]

His breathing is as rough as his manners, which is plenty rough; the Japanese man picks himself from the rubble, a cut on his brow, and stays very still once the poisonous spiders cascade over his shoulders, over his hair, across his face, as grim as if this were an unpleasant dish, but nothing out of the ordinary.

"You," he says, lowly, to the dog-earred boy. "Can you take the young vampire down, quiet him?"

"And you," he says, to V. "What do you want?"

Re: The Song of the Sibyl (open)
As the Ghost moves to Karrody he sees that he won't be able to avoid the attack, and sadly there is no way he can block it or avoid it. He's been hurt to much to do such a thing, but he isn't going to go down with out a fight. The blades that were impalled into the vampire having not been removed, Karrody uses what he sees to what little advantage he can.the blade held normal goes flying through the air as the ghost moves towards him.

As it flies, it goes just low of what he was aiming for, so sadly it won't kill the vampire, but it might succeed in making it simple to kill, as the blade heads straight towards the vampires chest.

Just before the Ghost is on him, he knows it has to have some substance if it is going to attack him physically. So he brings the blade up that is held in reverse the ghost having to move through the blade as it attacks him.

The strong grip takes hold on his throat, the lack of oxygen isn't what is going to cause him care, it's the loss of blood to his brain, and the breaking of bones as he can feel the bones in his neck reaching there point of no return.

The blade the ghost would be forced to go through to make its attack is moved around with what little strength he has. His foresight for griping on the blade the only reason he would be able to hurt the ghost if it were solid as he moves the blade to find any spot that might be susceptible to attack.

This is where I put more of my random thoughts. :)

Has everyone heard, there have been attacks in the forest. More and more students are showing up in Mrs Hanabishi's ward by the day. What's going on. It's the talk of the school.

Re: The Song of the Sibyl (open)
Knives turned to look at the man as he gave an order, and he blinked a few times. Then, his eyes drifted over to Karrody, and he blinked again as he watched the other boy's actions. Karrody only continued to provoke the girl, even as Tamotsu's order was given. There wasn't anything Knives could do to prevent the girl from getting riled up.....but at least he could stop Karrody's actions. With a sigh, Knives gave the man a nod.

"Well, I'll stop him from doing it any more, but.....it seems we're a bit late to keep him from bothering her, huh?

With that, Knives pushed off from the ground, lunging forward in Karrody's direction. While still in mid-flight, the dog boy sheathed his sword, giving him full use of both arms. He stared straight at Karrody, as he got ever nearer to the half-vampire. Within only seconds, they collided, Knives wrapping him up in a football-style tackle. Unless Karrody was really heavy or really rock-solid, or if he'd readied himself for the impact (which was unlikely in his current, injured condition), Karrody would be knocked over under the weight and force of the tackle, successfully pushing him away from the girl, and allowing Tamotsu to do his job.
