Running in to the city (Eddie then open)
Buffalo city was shining today. The mass's were out husteling and busteling. The sun was out and the clouds were gone. Much the same way it had been when Shiro had been at the waterfall. Shiro came tearing down the cement sidewalk and came to a very abrupt halt at the corner of the street he was on. The road he was on was rather uninteresting as it was one of the smaller sidestreets. People walked to and fro and occasionally stopped and talked.

Puffing out a large breath of air, he leaned up against a large brick building. It had been a long run even for Shiro and his excessively fit body. The race had, of course, not helped the matter any. *Puff...You still there?...COUGH* Shiro muttered as his body heaved in time with his breathing.

Ryoko was running after Shiro. She wasn't that far off him and their speed was evenly matched. She was in much the same state as he was. A few seconds later she stopped beside him, panting as she leaned over slightly, her hands on her knees. " Why did... we run all... that way?" Ryoko asked, through her heavy breathing. After she got her breath back, Ryoko leaned up against the wall and looked to him. " That sure was interesting." She commented.

Shiro looked over at her and smiled. "We ran cause it was fun I guess. Besides cars are for the lazy," Shiro said well standing up. Taking a few paces forward he looked around for a few seconds. Seeing nothing of intrest a strange urge over came him. "You know what would be awesome right now, sandwhiches," Shiro said vaguely rubbing his stomach. Moving over towards Ryoko and jumping on to a fire hydrant he got right next to her ear. "What do you think?" he said.

"You know what would be awesome right now, sandwiches,"..."What do you think?"

Ryoko watched as Shiro jumped around. He was just like a little kid or something like that. Sometimes she got like that, but it seemed that it only happened when she was around Pax. Still, she didn't seem to be uncomfortable with anything Shiro did. When he was right next to her ear she looked at him out of the corner of her eye and smirked. Reaching over, Ryoko pinched his cheek, like she did with everyone else lately. " Sandwiches, sounds fun." She said.

Shiro dramatically threw himself back at the cheek pinch. "AHHH FIEND!!!! So the hunt is on for sandwhiches then," He said as he hopped off the hydrant, "Oh damn...I have no money on me. Hold on a sec." Shiro walked around the corner and quickly walked back thumbing through a larg-ish wallet. "Good news! Lunch is on that guy over there!" He said pointing to a man in a fancy suit crossing the street. Pulling out a couple of twenties and pocketing them he set the wallet down on the street. "Hopefully somebody will find that," Shiro said with a slight snicker.

"Oh damn...I have no money on me. Hold on a sec."

Ryoko waited behind at Shiro ducked around the corner. Leaning up against the wall again, she waited for him to come back, and wondered what he went to go and do in the first place. Then he came back moments later and was looking through someone's wallet. She smirked, figuring out that he stole it before he even told her.

"Good news! Lunch is on that guy over there!"..."Hopefully somebody will find that,"

" Yeah I kinda guessed that." She replied, laughing at the whole situation. Ryoko swapped looks for both sides of the street, wondering which way they should go. She didn't really know the down town area that well. " So which way?" She asked.

Shiro sighed and thought for a moment. "Where's a good peice of grass when you need one?" he said. Walking over to the corner he looked both ways. Coming to absolutely no conclusion he turned back around. "WELL! I've decided that we should go that way!" He said with a short glare, "You mam are about as usefull as a turnip truck." He went over to the crosswalk and waited for the sign to say walk. "Just for the record I've never met a more indecisiver person then you," Shiro told her followed quickly by a stuck out toungue.

"Just for the record I've never met a more indecisiver person then you,"

Ryoko bit her own tongue as he spoke, smirking at the same time as she walked beside Shiro. " We useless ones just like to make it more difficult. We have fun that way." she explained, teasing her new friend as she spoke. " Would you prefer me to be incredibly picky and yell exactly what we're suppose to do?" She asked, thinking of her roommate for a second there.

Shiro shrugged lightly. "Maybe I would like it better. What then huh?" Shiro asked jokingly. The people on the street passed him by as he walked slowly, constanly scanning for sandwhich places. Not seeing one in his general vacinity he turned his attention back to Ryoko. "SO! TEll me something," he said simply as he shoved his hands in to his pockets.

Re: Running in to the city (Eddie then open)
Out in his worn street threads but looking (and smelling) much better then he had when he first got to the school, he returned to streets from whence he came. It felt good in some ways to come home and see the old familiar sights, but by now he was a different person.

But, as he spotted two young people, he couldn't get far from his new home. Two teenagers wandering the streets in swimwear just had to be from the school. Quietly, he moved to meet them.

"SO! TEll me something,"

As he heard the young boy say that, he couldn't resist butting in. "You're a fuzzy little cattapillar who will one day be a beautiful butterfly!" he shouted with a wide smile.

"SO! TEll me something,"

Ryoko decided to ignore the first thing Shiro said, since she had already guessed his reply would be something like that anyway. When he asked her to tell him something, Ryoko simply looked at him strangely, as if asking what he wanted her to say. She shrugged lightly and was about to say something, but instead someone else spoke before her.

"You're a fuzzy little cattapillar who will one day be a beautiful butterfly!"

Well that wasn't expected. Ryoko looked to who spoke and didn't recognise him. She rested her hands on her hips, a little annoyed at the fact that she had no pockets on what she was wearing. It was about that time that she realised they were still in swim wear. That thought drifted out of her mind when she decided to speak. " He wishes." She replied quickly, looking to Shiro and smiling sweetly, as if she hadn't said anything at all.

Shiro slid one hand lightly over her mouth and moved to the side of Ryoko. "Hey what's up. Don't listen to her. She's crazy, we accidently dropped her on her head when she was young you see," he said to the new guy with a smile. "I'm Shiro by the way," he said bowing slightly. "How does it go for you?" Finally realizing he was standing in the middle of the sidewalk Shiro moved to the side of the street.

He looked Ryoko up and down, getting a quick eyeful, and he liked what he saw. When she made her quip, he laughed easily, amused by his own joke.

Impressed by Shiro's gentility, he bowed back. "It goes very well me, thank you." He glanced at Ryoko. "You look you're doing pretty well yourself." His smile was wide and friendly.

Ryoko laughed, both at Shiro's comment and his hand as it covered her mouth. She took a step to the side to get away from his hand. " Yeah, it's his fault for being so clumsy." She replied, looking over at Shiro with a grin on her face after she spoke.

"I'm Shiro by the way,"

When Shiro introduced himself, Ryoko figured she should probably do the same thing. But instead of bowing, she simply raised a hand and waved lightly at the stranger before speaking. " And I'm Ryoko." She said, a friendly tone in her voice when she spoke.

"Well what can I say. She was a very ugly baby," Shiro said as he scratched the back of his head. He smiled at the girl and gave her a little nudge. Leaning his back against the nearst wall Shiro began to take a breif survey of the area. Eyes locked and focused on his target, Shiro's attention instantly shifted away from the conversation. Standing back up from the wall he moved slightly closer to the road. The particular building he was looking at was a small, plain building, which in the city of Buffalo made it totally unique. The front was plain and white with a single sign hanging which read "A sandwhich shop". "Hey it's been really great talking to you but if you want to keep talking is there any ways we can do it over there?" He asked pointing to the building. "Cause I really want my sandwhich."

"Well what can I say. She was a very ugly baby,"

"I'm Art. And somehow, I just find that very hard to believe." He glanced at Ryoko, smiling. "You don't let a girl like this slip through your fingers." His compliements were polite and automatic. The way Art figured, everyone loved to hear good things about themselves.

"A sandwhich shop". "Hey it's been really great talking to you but if you want to keep talking is there any ways we can do it over there?" "Cause I really want my sandwhich."

"Sounds good to me, as long as you buy the first round." His lips twitched, amused. "Since you're the one who asked to go."

Ryoko at first simply laughed at what Shiro had said, and nudged him back after he nudged her. But when Art spoke she stopped. She still didn't say anything to either of them. Was the stranger trying to hit on her or something? Oh well, all Ryoko did was smile at him. She was trying to be polite about things by not say anything.

Ryoko nodded at him. " Alright, alright. We'll go get you a sandwhich." She replied, teasing him as she pinched his cheek like he was just a child. When Art spoke about joining them, Ryoko looked back to Shiro. " Well, I don't mind, but we're not really paying for it." She replied, smirking.

"That's very true. Buttttttttt.....I have this thing about feeding strangers. For all I know you could be a shiftless youth going about ripping of nice men like me off for a sandwhich," Shiro said turning his head and frowning, "Can you prove your not some delilnquit? HMMMMM?!" Shiro turned his back on the boy and smiled to himself. Turning back quickly and giving a sideways peace sign he said, "NAH just kiddin. Let's go!" Shiro started to walk towards the street where cars were passing by with out giving a second thoguht to the sidewalk. "Besides if that were true I'd never buy anyone food," He said as he walked right out in to the middle of traffic. Quickly he dodged back and forth between speeding cars and finally ended up on the other side. "Come on you guys. I'm not waitin all day!"

" Well, I don't mind, but we're not really paying for it."

She seemed a little uncomfortable with the compliments, so Art decided it was time to back off. A shame, though, she did look good in that suit. "Well, darn, I guess there really is no such thing as a free lunch. I'll get my own, no problem. I've Art, by the way."

"Come on you guys. I'm not waitin all day!"

Art, who was in fact some kind of delinquent, calmly waited for traffic to come to a stop before he crossed, not waiting with Shiro. Instead, he went in to secure a table, taking one side so the two others would sit opposite him.

Ryoko ended up dodging traffic behind Shiro. She wasn't going to wait for the traffic to stop, that would probably take a while and Shiro would take off because he had to wait so long. A real bundle of energy he was. Ryoko wondered if he ever calmed down or if he was like this all day. She met him across the street, a smile on her face. " Let's go." She said to him, before going to the table Art was at and sitting across from him.

Re: running in to the city
Shiro followed the other two in to the resteraunt and plopped down in to the seat next to Ryoko. "Ohhhh yeah that's what I'm talking about. It's sandwhich time," he said picking up a menu for a split second then almost instantly tossing it back down. His right leg jittered up and down slightly as he looked around the small bland sandwhich shop. It was tiny, with very few patrons. The one noticible thing was that it was exceedingly clean. "Wow....where has this place been hiding all my life...," Shiro said as he leaned back in his chair and spread out his legs, "SOOOO yeah...whats your deal kid?"
