Re: running in to the city
"SOOOO yeah...whats your deal kid?"

Now that he was sitting across from the two of them, he could get a better look at them. Cute girl, buff guy. Their body language said just friends, and the girl had shut him down. Maybe she already had someone else, or maybe she didn't want to appear available in front of this goofball.

As for him, Art didn't like the look of him. He was spastic, risk-taking, and jittery. He could probably flip out an any second.

"Oh, nothing." He picked up a napkin and let it fall, his other hand hidden under the table. In mid-air the napkin started to spin for a couple moments before he let it drop. "I get the feeling we go to the same school and I just thought I'd introduce myself."

"Ohhhh yeah that's what I'm talking about. It's sandwhich time,"

Ryoko watched him with a slight smile on her face. He seemed to already know what he wanted by the way he picked the menu up then put it right back down again. She took the menu that was on her right and read over it quietly, trying to pick what she wanted to get. It wasn't often that Ryoko went out for sandwiches, so it was likely that the most ordinary thing was what she would get.

"I get the feeling we go to the same school and I just thought I'd introduce myself."

Ryoko looked up from the menu at Art, her blood red eyes coming into contact with his green ones. So he was from the school then. It was always good to meet more students from there. He was probably new though, she hadn't seen him before. " Are you a new student?" She asked him.

Shiro listened to the exchange between the two, not wanting to butt in to the conversation. He thought he had caught a glance of the boy trying to read the two of them but he dismissed it. Wouldn't that be cute? Trying to get a read on ME of all people.....I personally feel bad for anybody who does. Shiro thought to his companion. Well of course....your supposed to be sparatic, totally upredictible...That is one of the key bases of our clan... Shadow returned in short order. Shiro himself decided to take a quick scan over his acquired companion. He knew nothing about him before today that much was certain. All Shiro really knew was that the new boy was interested in Ryoko and that he probably didn't take Shiro seriously at all.

Shiro kept looking around, laughing ever so quietly to himself.

Art hadn't really seen anything about Shiro to interest him. Of course he'd note where the boy kept his wallet once he took it out, but that was just professionalism. Presumably there was something hidden about him, but no doubt it would come out on its own in time.

" Are you a new student?"

Red eyes. How interesting; either she had a lot of conceit or there was something unusual in her heredity. Every little bit about a person said something, and this was more then a little thing.

"Yeah, I'm new. Just drifted in, thought it would nice to be among like-minded people. You know how it is." He didn't; noone had ever given him a hard time because noone ever knew. But it would be interesting to see how hard of a time she had had.

Ryoko simply nodded. It seemed that everyone around Manga High had similar opinions and things like that. It was always a fresh break from everything that was going on back home for her. Still, around here it was just as energetic as she was normally used to. There was hardly a quiet moment, someone always ended up crashing it, but it wasn't always bad.

" Totally. I know what you mean." She said. When looking over to Shiro, she noticed quiet laughter coming from him. It was a little odd that he hadn't said anything for a little while. Ryoko elbowed him in the rib, yet smiled as if nothing had happened. " And what are you laughing oh so quietly about?" She asked.

Shiro glanced to the girl quickly when she nudged him. "Oh...nothing in particular," he said sitting up in his chair. He suddenly felt a strange sense of exahuastion but quickly shook it off. Bordem was overtaking him, seeping in to his mind like a virus. Quickly he scratched out a simple note on to a peice of paper and handed it to ryoko under the table. It simply read..."Ditch?"

" Totally. I know what you mean."

A non-comittal response. Fair enough. Plenty of time to ask about things like that later, and this was just a friendly meeting.

Shiro seemed fidgity all of a sudden. Maybe he was messing with the boy's mojo crashing in like that? Well, maybe he could make up for it a bit. Something unexpected...

"You, sir, I challenge you to an eating contest. Whoever can finish the most sandwhiches in two minutes shall be the winner. Sound good?" He smiled wide, confident in his ability to hide anything he didn't eat and win handily.

"Oh...nothing in particular,"

Ryoko placed the menu back down where she picked it up from and slipped her hands under the table. A small note came into her hand. Leaning back slightly, Ryoko looked down and read it.Ditch? She thought. Shortly after she looked over at Shiro and saw how bored he was. If he wanted to leave then Ryoko couldn't stop him, and she would go with him because she came here with him in the first place. She nodded lightly at Shiro.

"You, sir, I challenge you to an eating contest. Whoever can finish the most sandwhiches in two minutes shall be the winner. Sound good?"

That was rather unexpected. Ryoko looked at Art as he spoke, and then quickly back at Shiro to hear his answer. In her mind she was wondering how he planned to try and get away. It would definitely be fun, but Ryoko might feel a little bad for leaving Art alone. Oh well, she would surely see him at school.

Shiro's expression of bordem faded away to a large grin. "And the prize? Victory in and of itself seems like hollow and empty with out a prize," he said, running a hand through his hair. It's almost too good to be true he thought to himself. Pulling out shuriken from his pocket, Shiro began to spin it like a top on the table. "I've always been a gambling man. Care to make a wager?" He asked, his voice sounding like liquid silk. His face was resolute, his eyes focused on his objective no longer roaming about.

Daedelus was walking through downtown buffalo. It was a nice day and all but daedelus suddenly had a crazy craving for sandwhiches so seeing a sandwhich shop, he walked in. He was looking around the area to see if there was anybody he knew. He was wearing his usual attire of all black clothing. He even had his hood up today. seeing ryoko he walked over.

"Hello, may I join you at this table?" He asked when he had gotten to the table she was sitting at.

Re: running in to the city
As the new boy came over to the table Shiro slammed his fist down, popping the shuriken in to the air. In one swift motion he caught it and set it spinning again. Besides from the movement of his hand any one watching would notice that Shiro's body was completely still. Shifting his gaze up to the newcomer, Shiro took in all that there was to be seen.

"Under what pretenses would you assume it would be okay for you to come over here and attempt to sit at this table? Don't get me wrong I have nothign against you. But it would seem to me to be horribly rude to invite oneself to lunch. Without even proper introduction I might add," Shiro said very matter of factly. He eyes were as dagger's attempting to peirce the flesh of the newcomer. Shiro recongnized this boy. His hand twitched slightly for a moment and his bright blue left eye wavered red for a mere millisecond. "If you want in on this table, your going to have to do better then that," He said simply.

Daedelus frowned becuase of what the man that had thrown the Kunai had said. He did not seen why the man was acting this way, but he figured he should give a introduction since it was only polite.

" I am the out cast the shadow of the night. I am the one who can not return home, I am the one who came here seeking a second chance at life, and the oppertunity to spend time among the race that I love. I am Daedelus Anon."

After finishing He then threw back his hood. His blood red hair fell out of his hood and past his shoulders. His blood red eyes were open and he then looked Shiro directly in the eye. Daedelus's fair grey skin was pale and flawless. His ears were pointed, and his teeth were like humans with the one exception that they had sharp points on them instead of being flat Like a humans tooth.

Daedelus then continued to look Shiro in the eye. "Is that a good enough introduction for you?" he said with a smile.

Shiro leaned back in his chair and motioned to the seat next to the other boy. "Anybody else have any objections?" Shiro asked shooting a knowing glance to Ryoko. It just keeps getting better... he thought to himself. The shuriken teetered over and Shiro made it spin again. He wondered what had caused the drow to come over to the table in the first place. The answer of course was probably pretty simple. The girl, Ryoko, seemed to be very popular with the male students it would seem. Almost seems like too much trouble to even try yeah? Shiro thought to Shadow. Perhaps... he replied simply.

Re: running in to the city
"I've always been a gambling man. Care to make a wager?"

So the boy was good with edged weapons. Good to know. Art wondered how you could stab someone with a weapon that had edges on every side, but no doubt there was a way. "Sure, sounds good to me..."

Art was interruped by the arrival of another boy. He quietly listened to the exchange, not wanting to interrupt the fun. It was obvious from the look in Shiro's eye that he didn't care for the new boy, but when the cloak was taken off Art got something more interesting to look at. Freak show... Was the guy trying to look inhuman? WAS he human?

Art didn't like the look of him right away. Someone with teeth like that was not someone you wanted to see smiling. And that speech; it was hard not to wince at such a pedantic self-description. He hid it well, though, offering Daedelus a wide smile.

"Anybody else have any objections?"

"Sounds fine to me." He looked up at the drow, scooting over across from Shiro to make room for him. "Make yourself at home." He quickly changed the subject. "Actually, we were just about to have a contest. I suggest, sight unseen, that we all wager the contents of our pockets. Of course, then, the winner will have to cover the whole tab with whatever they have on hand. How does that sound?" He leaned back. "Or if you have other terms, I could accept those."

Art had a wallet with a fake id and some money and a couple of tools of the trade in an interior pocket on him. He wouldn't mind losing since it wasn't all that much, but it would be a lot of fun to see what kind of weapons he could win off this boy.

"Hello, may I join you at this table?"

Ryoko knew who was standing there before she even had to look. She could recognise his voice rather easily. It was Daedelus. She looked over to him with a smile on her face. If she was here by herself she wouldn't mind his company, but Ryoko wasn't sure if the other two wanted someone else to hang around or not. She sat there and watched Shiro and Daedelus exchange words and was just as quiet as Art was. It wasn't really her business to interrupt them anyway.

"Anybody else have any objections?"..."Sounds fine to me."

It seemed that after Daedelus' little display that Shiro had become fine with him being around. Art didn't seem to have a problem with it either. " Sure thing Daedelus, have a seat." Ryoko said. She sat silently and listened to Art talk about their game. There was not much else for her to say really, so she just said nothing and listened in.
