Well, its the weekend here at MHS. Wouldn't it be great if all schools started on a Friday for the first day of school. What a way to start off. You get a weekend right after your first day. Well, this is because we are done with the first day of class. How so you ask. As you only went to one class. yes, but I am sure that doing the same thing for each class would get boring. So the one class you experienced is basically how all the classes are going to be.
Teacher posts role. Day gets started, end of class happens, everyone goes to their next class, or home..
Well, ezboard still hasn't confirmed anything on a final date when everything is changed over to Yuku. And we are working on what to do next. We all want user friendliness after everything is changed away from Ezbaord, and we are trying everything we can to ensure that we have just that when we are at a new board hosting site.
We have a guest book. Take a look. If you haven't taken a look yet, be sure and do so. ^_^

Re: The Hunger...(EoB)
The voice from behind startled Ryoko slightly. She looked over her shoulder at the man. He was kind of shifty looking. She just looked at him, with a slightly cold look in her eyes, doubting that he would get away without a scratch. The man seemed rather nosy, throwing himself into the situation at hand. It was a rather foolish move, especially when he looked like a thief himself.
Ryoko's eyes darted back to Vash as he hopped off the table. He walked over to the stranger. Ryoko turned around to watch what was going to happen. She guessed that the man would either run, or be incredibly stupid and try to fight. It was probably in his best interest to run away.
"And I suppose you were off to go give candy to little children? I would keep moving and forget you saw anything, if you knew what was good for you..."
The man was not scared, or at least thats what he tried to make it look like. He clenched his fists, his eyes narrowing on Vash. " I might have been. And I know what I saw, and I'm not forgetting any of it. Just try something tough guy, I dare ya." The man explained, a cold tone in his voice. He smirked at Vash, guessing that he would back down.
Re: The Hunger...(EoB)
Vash could only smirk at the stupidity of this man. He acctually thought he could stand up to him? Well, it was understandable since the supposed crook had no diea who the dunpeal was, but it was still foolish to pick fights with people doing criminal things. Vash didn't want to hurt the man, but he needed him to keep quiet about this affair. Again, intimidation seemed to be the better solution.
"Is that so?" he questioned. "Well then, there are always other means in which to persuade you."
Vash cracked his knuckles after his threat. His fingers drummed across his hand, the claws not totally visible but at least enough to notice something odd. Hopefully hsi gesture of power would scare the man off, spooking him into not saying much about their encounter. If it came down to a fight, so be it, but the hunter wanted to at least try to avoid a conflict if he could. Hitting by-standers was simply not ethical.

Re: The Hunger...(EoB)"Is that so?"..."Well then, there are always other means in which to persuade you."
The man laughed loudly at Vash's words. He looked up at him, only noticing the height difference now. The man, being 5'6, was noticeably shorter than Vash, and it made him slightly nervous about what he'd gotten himself into. The nervousness showed on the strangers face, but he tried to cover for it as best he could by getting an angry look on his face.
" Oh, you think your smart, do ya? Well let's see how you handle this!" The man yelled. And with that, he clenched his right fist tightly. In a swift motion, he raised his arm up and attempted to punch Vash, aiming for his face when he did so.
Re: The Hunger...(EoB)
The punch was slow and unfocused. He had seen many brawlers before in his time and this man fit the bill. His demonic advantages would prove superior, if not his years of combat training and experience. His badges were unseen, regenerated over time, though they lingered in his mind. His eyes lit up once again and he was ready to subdue the man.
The punch went wide as Vash pushed it to the side with a quick snap of his backhand. He could see the lingering experssion of pain surfacing on the man's face, but he wouldn't give himself the pleasure of seeing it...Not yet, at least. He follow the blow up by spinning on his left heel and kicking the man directly in the chest. It was a powerful blow that would surely knock him back a few feet, if not send him flying.
Now all that was left was the clean up the mess. If his blows had hit, it would soon be over. If not, he had a better fight on his hands than he expected. Either way he would be pleased to use his newly aquired vigour. The blood he had just drank was flowing through his veins and gave him new life. It felt good, but he still needed an outlet for it. This man proved the perfect subject, at least for now...

Re: The Hunger...(EoB)
The man was not expecting a good fighter, and as a result both of Vash's blows hit him perfectly. Unfortunately for this man, he was not a good fighter. He flew back a few feet before landing on the ground. After a few attempts to get back on his feet, the man finally did. He held onto his stomach and just stared at Vash, a little scared it seemed, as his fear showed in his eyes
Ryoko moved over to the broken window. She looked over to the man, unsure as to whether she should be concerned about him or not. He did, after all, start the fight. There was nothing stopping him from just walking on like nothing was seem. She shrugged before folding her arms in front of her chest. " Well, that was pretty silly now wasn't it?" Ryoko asked.
The man swapped looks between both the teens. He was determined not to run away. It was a pride issue now. But it seemed as though he wasn't able to move anyway. Frozen in fear, the man was finally able to utter a few words. " What are you?" He asked.
Re: The Hunger...(EoB)
"What I am," Vash began in a very sinister tone, cracking his knuckles, "is what you make of me. However, I would say someone as persistant as yourself needs some reminder that he should not dwell on such questions, or even remember what he was not supposed to think about."
Vash finally stopped, about five feet away from the man. The twisted smile underneath the shadow of his hat was an omen of bad things to come. Quickly he turned sideways, letting his legs spread out slightly past his shoulder width and bent then accordingly. He positioned his left hand by his waist, with his right up and perpundicular with his body, the back of his hand facing the man. Both of his ahnds were open, ready to rake his opponent at any moment. The Twisted Claw style was passed down from generation to generation within the Hunter's Guild, and now Vash was the sole user of it.
"I hope you do not mind, but I wish to experiment slightly with you. I have a new maneuver I have been trying to perfect, but have had so few live subjects to test it on. I am sure you will enjoy it while your consiousness lasts..."
After his warning, Vash began to slowly move back and forth. First to his left, then sliding to his right, then back again. He kept doing this, faster and faster, until the his after image stayed as a solid copy of himself. The Shadow Dance was a move he had been experimenting with, trying to form an optical illusion to distract the defenders.
As the forms took perfect shapes, Vash took off towards the man with blinding speed. His attacks came from all direction, dancing about his opponent in a graceful furry of blows. Kicks, punches, hand knives and slashes with his claws; nothing was sparred against the man. He did, however, make sure nothing was potentially leathal. He only wanted to ensure the man wouldn't talk, not kill him.
After about thirty seconds of punishment, Vash grabbed the man and made a final attack. Grabbing him by the front of his shirt, the dunpeal tossed the man across the pavement and into a group of trash cans. He dusted his hands off after his accomplishment and then put his leather gloves back on. He didn't need any other suspicious characters thinking he was some sort of monster.

This didn't sound like a good idea to the man. He wanted to run away so badly, but was still frozen by his own fear. Then the attacks came and of course he had no way to block or defend himself. He took each and every blow to the fullest extent. For a moment after the first attack had stopped, he thought it was over and was ecstatically relieved. It was the last thing he could remember feeling before blacking out.
Ryoko moved over to look at the end result of a rather one sided fight. She couldn't really understand why people like that tried to be so tough, an image thing no doubt. Instead of thinking about the unconscious man with the trash cans, Ryoko turned her attention back to Vash. " Well that certainly was interesting. You're quite a skilled fighter." She commented.
Re: The Hunger...(EoB)
Vash gave ltitle recognition to the comment. fighting was a barbaric practice, which is why he was so skilled at it. He was a tool of war and nothing more to some people. However, he never tried to eliminate that stigma, only begrudge it. At the heart of the matter, he lived to fight and it excited him to no end to be in combat with a worthy opponent. It was something he craved almost as much as the blood he constantly had to steal. It was apart of who he was, but that didn't mean he had to praise it.
"Hmph!"
The shadowy boy slowly turned around, realising the fight was over. That man was, at best, a simple thug and had no chance against a seasoned fighter, let alone one with super-natural capabilities. His attention was fixated on Ryoko once again. She didn't seem that impressed, despite what her comment suggested. Maybe it was the lack of challenge the man offered but she didn't seem as thrilled about the manauver as her comment should have been. The girl did seem a little rough around the edges, so maybe she had some experience in that area as well. He didn't want to bother asking, however, simply because it didn't interest him at the moment. He had had his fill for the night, even if it was a pityful challenge to begin with.

Re: The Hunger...(EoB)"Fighting is simply an means to achieve an end..."
Ryoko simple nodded. It wasn't what her father had taught her, but he was a moron when it came to giving reason to anything. She unfolded her hands and placed them into her pockets. She was impressed the the moves shown, but more so by the fact that Vash didn't kill the newcomer, or at least she hoped he didn't. Ryoko looked away and over to the fridge where the blood was kept. She wondered how much Vash needed to have before he would be fully recharged. " So do you need anymore of that?" She asked.
Re: The Hunger...(EoB)
Vash quickly came into full animation when the mention of the fridge came into play. He had completely forgotten why he had come out in the first place. If the man had seent he couple breaking into the blood bank, there could be others lurking about. Who knew what other potential onlooker, or worse yet, vampires could be skulking in the shadows. If that was the case, he didn't have time to doddle around.
The boy darted for the window, hopping back over with ease and then jogging over to the fridge. He studied the contents quickly before starting to grab individual bags and inspect them. He didn't want to take anything terribly important or rare, just some common bags to restock his small fridge back at his dorm room. Type A and type B were the best, and he stayed away from the universal O and rare A-. The pakcets quickly found homes inside the various, deep pockets of Vash's trench coat and only when he had grabbed ten or twelve was he satisfied.
"That should be enough for a few months" he mentioned in passing. "At least, I hope it's enough..."
He shook his head, still feeling a light dazed from his weakened condition earlier. He hadn't realised he had thought out loud for that brief period. Turning to the girl again, he blinked a few times before his focus returned. With his senses renewed, the dunpeal took his authoritative, stoic posture once again.
"I believe now would be a good time to make ourselves scarce."

"I believe now would be a good time to make ourselves scarce."
" Sounds like a plan." Ryoko replied. She climbed out the window and looked left to right. It was then that she remembered her little problem. She couldn't remember which way the school was. It was a little sad really, to have a mind blank such as this one. Still, not ever really being in this part of town would have had something to do with it.
Perhaps getting back on the roof was a good idea. That way she could just move around and the school would be much easier to spot. Ryoko couldn't actually remember why she'd gotten off the roof in the first place. She didn't recognise the streets around here. Ryoko looked up to the sky and thought of the best way to get up without using powers to do so.
Re: The Hunger...(EoB)
Vash nodded in agreement and quickly followed, running towards the broken window. After Ryoko had made her way through, Vash lept over the window sill, placing his hand there to lift himself up and over. It was such a fluent movement that it looked practiced in some way. His landing was slient, and immediately followed by a quick turn towards the alleys. He paused only for a moment to see the girl looking up at the rooftops, seeming a little lost. She must have been new to the city, or at least this part of town. It made sense, since she was attending MHS.
After his brief pause, Vash streaked towards the alleyway where he could get a pathway to the intended rooftops. He assumed the girl was looking for some way to get up as well. It would suit him just fine to be able to use his favorite mode of travel. While most would hinder him by asking for a lift or demanding he stick to the streets, someone who was well versed in jumping from roof to roof wouldn't slow him down.
His eyes shifted to his left and then his right for mere moments before he was up and away. The dunpeal jumped up towards one wall, kicked off and sprang towards the perpendicular wall on the other side. He then quickly kicked off that wall and landed gracefully on the edge of the roof of the building adjasent to the blood bank. His eyes then focused on the girl, so red that they pierced through the shadows the hat created.
"Well," he asked in a semi impatient tone, "are you coming?"

Re: The Hunger...(EoB)"Well,"..."are you coming?"
Ryoko arched an eyebrow as Vash was suddenly on the roof. She noted his tone of voice and stopped trying to look for a way up. There was no harm in using her power, she just didn't want to. Sighing lightly, Ryoko began to float up to the roof to join him. " Yeah yeah I'm coming." She replied. Her feet touched the ground and she scanned the area lightly. Of course there weren't going to be people on the roof, but she was just checking. " Alright, which way?" She asked.
Re: The Hunger...(EoB)
Vash cocked an eyebrow as the girl slowly floated up to the rooftops. It was very majestic, to say the least, floating through thin air. Although her tone ruined some of the elogance he saw in her power, it was still a marvel to watch none the less. When she landed, a quizzical look was added to his expression. It was nothing fancy, he just personally enjoyed it for some reason.
"Impressive..." he said, commenting her irrationally for a gift she simply had.
His eyes then looked towards the middle of town. They were quite some distance from the school at this point. Unfortunately, medical services were far away from the school because of the on-campus staff under Miss. Hanabishi's instruction. Maybe it was a chance to get to know another student? Fate seemed to deal him obvious hints and he had grown to take them when he got them. His eyes quickly darted back to the girl, smirking slightly now.
"It would be in this direction," he began, "however, I do nto suppose you would enjoy a cup of coffee?"

Re: The Hunger...(EoB)"It would be in this direction,"..."however, I do not suppose you would enjoy a cup of coffee?"
Ryoko had to think about it. He was a stranger and she didn't really know him that well, but then again what better way to get to know someone. It was quite a turn of events, from him being completely drained in the alleyway to them being on the roof and him asking things like that. Ryoko didn't mind the idea. It sounded like a good one. It was always good to meet new people, and Vash seemed like a very nice one so far. " Sounds good. Lead the way." She replied.
Re: The Hunger...(EoB)"Sounds good. Lead the way."
Before she could even finish, Vash was already bounding towards the opposite edge of the building. He loved the feeling of the night air brushing past his face, however little he felt it. It was one of the many things he regretted about being a half-vampire. It didn't stop him from enjoying the rush of exileration he got when jumping across Buffalo though. It was one of his favorite activites, whether on the hunt or just out to clear up his mind.
Once he reached the edge, the fun really began. He pushed off, making a corkscrew twist in the air as he jumped down to a rooftop lower. He landed with such grace that it seemed impossible for this to be practiced. It looked and felt so natural to the hunter, it had to be! In his own way, he felt very much like an artist, creating his masterful dance atop the roofs as he flipped and tumbled his way across them. It was an art, marshal or otherwise, but debatable if not a little bit of both the way Vash displayed it.
After a few jumps, he looked back to see if the girl was following, yelling "It is this way! Just follow me!"

Re: The Hunger...(EoB)
Ryoko watched as Vash started moving in the right direction before she actually finished what she was saying. The natural way he went through the air showed that he was quite used to doing it, as it seemed like a second nature to him. As he was in the air, Ryoko began to run and follow along. She wasn't running at top speed, because she wasn't too worried about falling or not. She had a power to make sure that wouldn't happen.
"It is this way! Just follow me!"
Just like always, when moving through the air Ryoko didn't do anything fancy other than jump from one to the other. She did use a little of her ability to fly just to make sure her landings were clean and that there was no way she could fall. Ryoko doubted she would have any trouble keeping up with him.
Re: The Hunger...(EoB)
Vash was having a great time, snaking through fire ladders and performing minor tumbling tricks as he raced across the rooftops. It was one of the only things that gave him a true sense of pleasure. Fighting was a lifestyle, but he didn't enjoy it on the same, care free level that he did with just performing aerial maneuvers while running. It gave him some sort of wild rush that people get as children, though being secluded as a child, the dunpeal was only starting to get his fair share of these moments.
With his mind in the clouds, it was only to be expected that Vash would naturally start to speed up. His movements became more tuned into the path he wanted to take, focusing on his task. His eyes were darting back and forth, maticulously planning out his route in mere seconds. It was wasn't as if he felt the need to make this serious, it was just an instinctive reaction. His mind was still swimming in enjoyment, but his body demanded it to be more orchastrated. All that he could do was go faster and faster, his body become something of a blur as he went. The gap between the two was starting to become more and more, but this time Vash didn't yell back; his mind was elsewhere at the moment.

Re: The Hunger...(EoB)
Ryoko watched him as he slowly began to speed up. She thought nothing of it really, it wasn't going to hurt her to speed up a little herself. But soon Ryoko found herself hitting the rooftops at top speed, and attempting to think of a way to try and close this gap between them. It was like he was in his own little world by him getting faster and faster like that. Maybe he'd forgotten that she was behind him or something.
Damn he's fast. Was all that went through the young thief's mind. She was more concentrated on trying to not have a gap between them. She didn't know where they were going, and it wouldn't be much fun to be on the rooftops alone in an unfamiliar place. Ryoko was about to call out to him but stopped herself, and wondered lightly if she would seem weak by asking him to slow down. Still, in the current situation there were far worse things that could happen other than a stranger seeing her as weak. " You're a fast one aren't ya!" She called out to him, a small smirk appearing on her face. This was fun.
Re: The Hunger...(EoB)
Vash was going at a break neck speed, not even realising he was slowly pulling away from the girl. Had he noticed, he would have slowed down to a much easier pace, but he was stuck in his own little world. It was a concentration that few could muster. The coffee shop near the school was coming up quickly, though if the girl didn't speed up soon (or if Vash didn't slow down) she would lose sight of him.
"You're a fast one aren't ya!"
Finally it clicked! Vash's focus was broken by the voice that called out to him and he turned his head for a moment to catch sight of Ryoko. She ahd been lagging behind, but by no lack of effort of her part. He stopped in his tracks with a small slide across the gravel of one of the rooftops. There he waited for the girl to catch up, not impatiently, but more embarrassed for the fact that he ahd sped up unknowingly. He didn't enjoy going slow, but he also felt a priority to only go as fast as his companions.
