Well, its the weekend here at MHS. Wouldn't it be great if all schools started on a Friday for the first day of school. What a way to start off. You get a weekend right after your first day. Well, this is because we are done with the first day of class. How so you ask. As you only went to one class. yes, but I am sure that doing the same thing for each class would get boring. So the one class you experienced is basically how all the classes are going to be.
Teacher posts role. Day gets started, end of class happens, everyone goes to their next class, or home..
Well, ezboard still hasn't confirmed anything on a final date when everything is changed over to Yuku. And we are working on what to do next. We all want user friendliness after everything is changed away from Ezbaord, and we are trying everything we can to ensure that we have just that when we are at a new board hosting site.
We have a guest book. Take a look. If you haven't taken a look yet, be sure and do so. ^_^

Re: The Hunger...(EoB)
A few moments after Ryoko called out to Vash, he seemed to realise that she was still following him. It wouldn't have been long before she lost sight of him, and Ryoko was thankful that she called out to him in the end. When he stopped on the roof Ryoko didn't slow down, so she could catch up to him quicker. Though she wasn't all that sure she wanted to. In the back of her mind she could hear a voice telling her that she wasn't good enough to catch him.
But as Ryoko stopped beside him, she mentally shook that voice out of her head. If she knew where they were going she would have continued getting there because it wouldn't be any problem for him to catch up, but that wasn't the case. " Sorry bout that, guess some of us aren't super fast." Ryoko said, a tone in her voice showing that she wasn't trying to be smart.
Re: The Hunger...(EoB)
As he waited, he rubbed the back of his head. His face would have been completely red if it wasn't for the small fact that he had abnormal blood flow. The dunpeal waited patiently for the girl as she quickly closed the gap. She was quite quick, he noted, and that was impressive in itself. There were very few that could move like that without having some sort of supernatural aid behind them. Maybe it was her flight, but he couldn't be particularly sure.
"Please excuse me," he apologized "I sometimes lose myself and run at my full speed without meaning to. However, the coffee shop is not much farther. Just a few blocks, so I would say the street will be just as good from now on."
With that, he made a quickly back flip, his body not tucking in at any point. The fall was a few stories up, but nothing the dunpeal couldn't handle. As usual, he seemed to float down to the earth, landing softly and quietly on the sidewalk. The hunter looked upwards immediately after, wondering if the girl would need assistance. She had proven herself tough up to this point, however, the drop was no laughing matter for a regular person.
"I can catch you if need be" he noted, with a smirk attached to the end of the comment.

" Don't even worry about it. And the streets sound fine to me." Ryoko replied. She watched as he jumped down onto the ground. There was no doubt that his little show was impressive. Ryoko looked down to him, checking out how high the fall was. Shouldn't be a problem. She thought. Jumping down from buildings was something she had often had to do, but most of the other time she was carrying her father.
"I can catch you if need be"
Leaning over the edge slightly, Ryoko stuck her tongue out in his direction. Using her ability once more, the young thief drifted down to the ground. No problem at all. Ryoko landed on the ground beside him. " Alrighty. So which way are we headed?" She asked. Ryoko made a small mental note to learn her way around the city a little more. She didn't know which way to go in a lot of instances, so it seemed like a wise thing to do.
Re: The Hunger...(EoB)
The smirk on Vash's face said it all. He enjoyed his little joke and the reaction he got. The girl, however, simply floated back down to earth and landed beside him. It was a nifty little power that he enjoyed watching. He had always wished he could fly, ever since he came to Manga High. There were so many people who had little things that he found so captivating. Flight was one he especially liked, for more than the reason of wanting it as a power.
He then looked down the street for their destination. The brightly lit signs and flashy baubbles didn't phase the focus of the dunpeal one bit. He just wanted a cup of coffee and that was it. He also didn't need to annoy his guest by stopping at every inch of the city to inspect what exactly was transpiring. So, once he caught sight of their destination, he took a few steps, looked back to see if she was following, and continued at a leisurly pace.
"So what is your story?" he inquired, "It seems as thought you already know quite a bit about me, though I know almost nothing of you."

Re: The Hunger...(EoB)"So what is your story?"..."It seems as thought you already know quite a bit about me, though I know almost nothing of you."
Ryoko walked along side Vash as they moved to their destination. " Let's see now..." Ryoko began. She paused for a moment, as if trying to pick what she wanted to tell him. She wasn't one to tell people much about herself. Even her best friend at Manga High didn't really know that much about her. Apart from the accidental information Ryoko gave her, Hawthorne knew about as much as most of her other friends at the school.
" Well I'm a thief and I've been training for that ever since I can remember, which it kinda how I found you. I got lost and was planning on trying to find my way back to the school by the streets, to see if I recognised anything. But I didn't, I've never been down that way before." She explained.

A thief? Vash though as he looked her up and down once more. He was surprised to hear that. She had never looked like a robber to him so he had assumed better things. Thievery, however, was one of those things the hunter disapproaved of. He wasn't in a position to argue about it though, seeing as he ahd just stolen some blood from a blood bank. It was more so by nessecity than by wealth. If he absolutely needed something he knew he would normally be denied under more prefered circumstances, he would steal it. Other than that, theivery was off the list.
He was also surprised that the girl didn't know her way around this part of town. Most students from Manag High familiarised themselves with the general area because of the Shattered Blessing. It was quite the seedy part of town, but it had it's small heavenly spots. One such niche was the coffee shop, coming up on them slowly but surely. It was only a block away, but the hunter was interested in other things at the moment. His eyes shifted to Ryoko for a moment before looking back straight ahead.
"It is probably best," he said, "that you do not ever become familair with it. It is not a place girls such as yourself should be walking around alone at night."

Re: The Hunger...(EoB)
Ryoko raised an eyebrow as he looked her over slightly. Maybe he didn't believe she was a thief. Oh well, it might have been better if he didn't, keep him guessing or something like that. She wondered if he would question as to why she was doing it anyway. There was a simple answer to that, her father. If she didn't get him the money he needed, he'd pull her out of Manga High.
"It is probably best,"..."that you do not ever become familiar with it. It is not a place girls such as yourself should be walking around alone at night."
Avoiding tough spots was generally what Ryoko was trying to do. There was probably nothing really good to get from down in the bad part of town anyway. She wondered how she got there in the first place. Perhaps Ayeka had tampered with her maps or something, that sounded like something her roommate would do, just to try and be funny. But then the question became was Ayeka smart enough to do that. " Thanks, I'll keep that in mind." Ryoko replied.
She took her eyes off him, looking forward to their destination. " So do you go there a lot?" Ryoko asked.

Re: The Hunger...(EoB)"So do you go there a lot?"
He shruged just a tad, not really sure of the answer himself. He knew where the coffee shop was and had visited the establishment often, but it was difficult to guage just how much. He could remember the first day he had been shown the small time establishments such as these. He had been with his two best friends, Yakoutio and Amber. It had been a dark day, however, as Vash was forced to uphold the Code of the Hunter. So many innocent died that day, but it had not spoiled his taste for the coffee shops around Buffalo.
"Quite possibly," he began, still thinking on his words, "every night before I my recent departure."
As he said this, the two had arrived at the front doors of the shop. It was brightly lit with a flickering neon open sign in the window. Vash quickly opened the door and held it there for Ryoko. His manners were always anything but short of perfect. It was his upbringing, of course, but he always would be the "old fashioned" guy, as most put it.

Recent departure. Those words played in Ryoko's mind, as if she was trying to figure out whether such a thing had been mentioned to her before. Whether it had or it hadn't, she wasn't going to ask about it. It wasn't like her to pry into other people's business, mainly because she didn't like it when they tried to do it to her. Do unto others, as they say.
Blood red eyes fixed on the neon sign as they approached the place. Ryoko nodded to Vash lightly as he opened the door for her, quite a gentleman it seemed. Kind of strange that really. Someone who had just been drinking blood, a barbaric thing to do as some would say, had such manners like these. It surprised her a little really, but that read no where on Ryoko's face. She showed her appreciation in the form of one word, speaking it with meaning as she looked back to him. " Thanks." Ryoko said.

Re: The Hunger...(EoB)
"You are quite welcome," he replied in kind.
After the girl had entered, Vash followed suit. The door behind them closed wth a clatter, ringing through the small coffee shop. It was nothing special, very retro looking, possibly from the 50's. A woman was behind the desk, early twenties for sure, and she looked at the pair with a quizzical expression. Very few people came during the graveyard shift, especially in large trench coats and wide brimmed hats. Then again, what would you expect people to look like on the graveyard shift?
So Vash looked over the choices, quickly deciding as he already had in mind what he wanted. He wasn't particularly adventurous, sticking to a traditional black coffee. His sensative pallette needed something strong and dull once in awhile to curb the bombardment of falvour it had on a regular basis. So the hunter looked down at the girl, as if silently asking what she was going to order. He was a gentleman, after all, and wouldn't expect her to pay for her own beverage.
