Well, its the weekend here at MHS. Wouldn't it be great if all schools started on a Friday for the first day of school. What a way to start off. You get a weekend right after your first day. Well, this is because we are done with the first day of class. How so you ask. As you only went to one class. yes, but I am sure that doing the same thing for each class would get boring. So the one class you experienced is basically how all the classes are going to be.
Teacher posts role. Day gets started, end of class happens, everyone goes to their next class, or home..
Well, ezboard still hasn't confirmed anything on a final date when everything is changed over to Yuku. And we are working on what to do next. We all want user friendliness after everything is changed away from Ezbaord, and we are trying everything we can to ensure that we have just that when we are at a new board hosting site.
We have a guest book. Take a look. If you haven't taken a look yet, be sure and do so. ^_^

Just the Essentials (Attn: Xraney)
After her super-fun time at the gym, and ever so interesting meeting at the hot springs, Hawthorne felt that maybe it was time to get away from the whole thinking about Jun-Bo thing. It just wasn't helping her state of mind any. She had gone back to her room after leaving the springs, and showered off and changed. She now had her black, damp, tangled hair pulled back into a messy ponytail, which hung down her back where it left a wet mark on her black t-shirt. She was back in her Cannibal Corpse t-shirt, since it really was her favourite, and the cleanest out of her set. She had also dug back out the spiked leather bracelets and collar. She was going out into the world on her own, and she wasn't leaving without her protective gear. She put in her biggest, most obvious hoops in her eyebrow, nose and lip, but she replaced the dangling handcuff earings with hoops that matched the rest of them.
That was why she was at the mall, she had to get some new clothes. She had ruined one of her pairs of jeans to make herself a pair of gym shorts, and the pair she was wearing now was stained and ripped. She needed new clothes, stat. She thought about her messy hair, and decided a brush might be a good investment too.
Moccasins scuffing lightly across the ground, she travelled through the mall, looking for a store that sold clothes she would actually be willing to wear. Most of the stores she was afraid to even enter, pretty certain that there was no way they'd carry a size 12. When did being anorexic become cool? She must have completely missed the boat on that one. Still, she was here to shop, and as loathe as she was to spend her hard-earned money, if she wanted to fit in, it was gonna have to happen. Besides, she'd still have enough for her getaway fund.
She entered the first store she came across that appeared to sell normal-size clothing. This would have to do. She walked up and down the isles. Was any of this not ugly or pink? She thought not. Oh well, next store. She left that particular shop with a rather disgusted look on her face. Where to now?

Re: Just the Essentials (Attn: Xraney)
Ayeka was strolling through the mall. She was on the lookout for a new night dress because her wretched roomate Ryoko had ripped it claiming it was "totally lame". She had ripped it in such a way that it now showed of her thighs, she was not acceptable in Ayeka's opinion as it was to skimpy.
Ayeka was browsing a stores window when suddenly her phone rang. Ayeka looked at the screen and saw that the phone call was from her fiancee John. She quickly answered the phone.
"Oh hello John." She said Ayeka walked over to one of the benches and sat down. As she sat down a girl dressed in black with large piercing walked past her. Ayeka couldn't stand girls like her.
"Oh John i'm sorry one of those depressed "emo" people just walked past. Honestly why can't they just be happy" She rose her voice when she said the last sentence so that the girl would hear her.
Re: Just the Essentials (Attn: Xraney)
((OMG!! That was beautiful!!))
Hawthorne barely acknowledged the hardly-literate green-haired bimbo prattling away on her electronic leash . . . until, it seemed, the girl attempted to pick a fight with her. Hawthorne couldn't just let it go, she just wasn't in that kinda mood.
"Oh John i'm sorry one of those depressed "emo" people just walked past. Honestly why can't they just be happy"
Hawthorne turned around, an eyebrow raised in the girl's direction. After all, the last time she checked she was a metal-head, not an 'emo', she was, if you had to label her, more of a 'metal-head'. Also, since she wasn't actually depressed, she felt inclined to take offence to that.
She sauntered over and threw herself down on the bench beside the girl, carefully imitating the way she was sitting, and then, in a loud, squeaky, ditsy voice . . .
"Honestly, why can't they just be happy?"
She snickered, amused at her own sense of humour. Some people just needed to learn not to judge others, they especially needed to learn, that if you were going to be rude, don't be overheard. She stretched back out again, putting her arm behind the girl's back, on the back of the bench, and grinned, waggling her pierced eyebrow suggestively.
"You could make me happy, honey."

Re: Just the Essentials (Attn: Xraney)
Ayeka looked at the girl imitating her she at first was going to ignore her and continuing talking to her fiancee until the girl placed her hands on her and attempted to hit on her. Ayeka flinched away from the girl and let out a scream.
"Oh my god what the hell are you doing!" She said not realising that her phone was still on. "Oh no John i wasn't talking to you, that depressed girl is trying to have her way with me, i'll call you back." She said hanging up her phone. Once she'd hung the phone up she turned her attention back to the girl. Ayeka quickly jumped to her feet attempting to avoid the girl touching her again.
"Now look here, i don't know if lesbianism is accepted amongst emo's but in the real world it is not acceptable to hit on strangers." She said glaring a hole through the girl.

Re: Just the Essentials (Attn: Xraney)
The girl's reaction was everything that Hawthorne had hoped for and more. What a scene she was causing! Hawthorne started laughing, she laughed so hard she had to hold onto her sides in the hopes that they wouldn't split open. This was beautiful!
"Now look here, i don't know if lesbianism is accepted amongst emo's but in the real world it is not acceptable to hit on strangers."
Hawthorne whiped a tear away from her eye. It was just too prescious. She couldn't stop laughing. Just breathe, deep breaths . . . She finally calmed herself down.
"Oh my . . . Manidoo save me . . ." She choked back another chuckle. "Look lady, I'm not a lesbian, and I'm not an emo. Relax a little."
She let out one more little chuckle.
"In all honesty, I'm looking for some new clothes. I stole this shit off my old boyfriend."

Re: Just the Essentials (Attn: Xraney)
Ayeka glared at the girl as she laughed at her however quickly her anger turned to curiosity. Why in the hell was this woman laughing at her? She was in the one who dared to go out in public dressed like an idiot. The girl finally calmed down and explained to Ayeka that she had stolen the clothes from her Ex-boyfriend. She also explained that she was neither and Emo or a lesbian but Ayeka wasn't sure about that.
"Oh i see, well i suppose that kind of explains why you are dressed like you are homeless, although i must say i'm not sure it's much better then most of these girls seem to be wearing." Ayeka said waving her arm over to one of the stores.
The store she was pointing at was Supre, or as she had dubbed it, the whore factory. As she spoke three scantily dressed women left the store giggling and laughing like idiots.
"Honestly it makes me sick, they'd be better off walking the streets at least that way they'd be earning some money."
Re: Just the Essentials (Attn: Xraney) "Oh i see, well i suppose that kind of explains why you are dressed like you are homeless, although i must say i'm not sure it's much better then most of these girls seem to be wearing."
She'd take offence to that, but there was some truth in the statement, so she just laughed at the girl's words instead.
"Fair enough, I can't say my outfit is overly appealing, but please? Comparing me to those? My boobs aren't showing!"
"Honestly it makes me sick, they'd be better off walking the streets at least that way they'd be earning some money."
Strangely enough, Hawthorne found herself agreeing with the green-haired chick. Maybe she wasn't a complete bimbo at all. After all, at least they had some common ground to build on.
"Oh, the prosti-tots?" She asked lightly. "I swear they're getting younger every year. Is it so horrible to actually wear something? Especially with winter just around the corner."

Re: Just the Essentials (Attn: Xraney)
Ayeka nodded in agreement with the girl, something she never thought she would do. She wasn't overly fond of the way the girl presented herself, in fact her earlier rudeness reminded her of her dreadful roommate Ryoko but she obviously wasn't another one of these young street walkers which seemed to overpopulate the world today.
"I totally agree with you, i mean how can a mother honestly allow this sort of trash. Honestly some days i just want to slap the slut one of them." Ayeka stopped when she realised she was rambling again. One of the things she was very proud of were her morals and her views on social etiquette. She realised these two things had alienated her a lot since she arrived at MHS but she didn't mind.
"My name is Ayeka Brown." She said extending her hand to the girl.
Re: Just the Essentials (Attn: Xraney)
Hawthorne took the proferred hand and gave it a firm shake, wrapping her strong fingers around the other girls wrist. She felt like they were building a bridge between two completely different worlds.
"Well Ayeka, my name is Hawthorne Johnstone, and if you ever need help slapping the slut out of anyone, be sure to call me first."
She grinned and winked at the prim and proper girl. Despite everything, she liked her. Maybe it was because of her differences, she was a unique experience for Hawthorne.
"So . . . Ayeka. Where do you shop? I mean, I prolly won't wear the same kinda clothes as you do, but I'd like something that covered my midriff . . . y'know? Real clothing, at least for once."

Re: Just the Essentials (Attn: Xraney)
Ayeka firmly shook Hawthorne's hand then looked around the mall. She had never been to a mall this size, mainly she shopped in what she felt was "higher class" so truthfully she had no idea where they should go. She scanned the mall and began checking off the stores in her mind.
"Well lets see, that one looks nice, nope thats another prostitute store, over there, nope more of them. God dam it there everywhere!" She grumbled looking around.
"Perhaps you should lead the way I'm afraid i don't know where i'd begin." She looked at the girl again and couldn't help but shake her head. The girl was what her old friend's from Branson would have called a "trainwreck" however Ayeka understood she was no longer in Branson and so had to be more polite.
Re: Just the Essentials (Attn: Xraney) "Well lets see, that one looks nice, nope thats another prostitute store, over there, nope more of them. God dam it there everywhere!"
Hawthorne laughed. Apparently the hoe-bags were taking over the mall. She wondered if they'd find anything she could wear in the entire mall. Well, they at least could try.
"Perhaps you should lead the way I'm afraid i don't know where i'd begin."
Hawthorne nodded. "I'm not entirely sure either, to be honest, but I think that we can manage somehow. I'm fairly sure adults shop in this mall somewhere, so we'll eventually be able to find some way of pulling this off."
"Shall we go?"
Wow . . . a real smile out of the prude-queen. Hawthorne was making leaps and bounds here. Maybe it was her chat with Ryoko earlier, maybe it got her more in tune with the whole female-bonding situation. Or maybe it was just they were the only two girls in the whole mall not selling their bodies.
"No problem. It's like an adventure. We have to fight our way through the man-eating kindersluts to find the Holy Outfit of Modesty, right?"

Re: Just the Essentials (Attn: Xraney)
Ayeka actually laughed at Hawthorne's comment about "kindersluts." she was starting to actually like this girl despite her dress sense. But Ayeka was sure a day shopping with her would be able to change that. The two wandered around the mall until they finally managed to find a store that looked like it held acceptable clothing.
Ayeka walked in first immediately heading towards the dress section. She spotted a long red satin dress that she thought looked to be able Hawthrone's size.
"What do you think about this?" Ayeka asked showing the dress to Hawthorne. Although the dress wasn't something she could see the other girl wearing often it would be good for her to have something nice.

Re: Just the Essentials (Attn: Xraney) "What do you think about this?"
Hawthorne glanced at the peice of clothing that Ayeka was showing her . . . and nearly choked. Her eyes went really wide and she gave Ayeka an increduous look. The girl didn't actually think . . . oh, yes she did. Hawthorne had to put a stop to that right away.
"Ummm . . . it's a dress? Look, Ayeka, I really appreciate you helping, but I'm never gonna wear a dress. I don't do things that require dresses. In fact, I pretty much don't do dresses . . ."
She was trying to be delicate, since she didn't want the other girl to get upset, but she did not want to try that satin concoction on. No way, no how. What if someone she knew walked by? Her reputation would be ruined forever!

Re: Just the Essentials (Attn: Xraney)
Ayeka looked at Hawthorne with a look of confusion. She thought the dress was very pretty, and she certainly didn't understand why Hawthorne would not want to try it on. Maybe she thought it wouldn't be flattering on her. Ayeka walked up to the other girl and dropped the dress in her hands.
"Are you serious? You don't own a single dress? Every woman should have at least three dresses, one for social occasions, one for formal occasions and one for...well shall we say more intimate affairs. Now come, i am not letting you leave here until you have at least one dress." Ayeka turned on her heels and began searching through the aisles for dresses she thought would be Hawthorne's size. She came back with another five dresses and dropped them into the other girls hands.
"Now go try them on." She said pointing her towards the dressing rooms.

Re: Just the Essentials (Attn: Xraney)
Hawthorne looked at the confusion on Ayeka's face. Yup, the two of them were definitely from different planets. She couldn't understand the whole dress thing. Why did they have to start with that? But the other girl was dropping the torture device in her hands. Hawthorne wanted to drop it, as if it was burning her.
"Are you serious? You don't own a single dress? Every woman should have at least three dresses, one for social occasions, one for formal occasions and one for...well shall we say more intimate affairs. Now come, i am not letting you leave here until you have at least one dress."
Three dresses? Hawthorne looked like she was gonna pass out. This was the scariest situation she had ever encountered. She wasn't going to survive this shopping trip.
"Can't we just find a classy pantsuit or something?"
There was a note of desperation in her voice, though she was already convinved Ayeka would ignore it. Then the other girl dropped FIVE more dresses in her arms, and she nearly cried. Why was she letting her do this?
"Now go try them on."
Despite it all Hawthorne nodded yes and dutifully padded back to the changing rooms, dragging her moccasined feet the entire way. It looked more like she was heading to the executioners block than dress shopping. Though in her mind they were one and the same.

Re: Just the Essentials (Attn: Xraney)
Ayeka watched Hawthorne walk towards the change rooms as if she was marching towards her grave. Honestly Ayeka could not understand how girls her age thought anymore, they either seemed to dressed like total whores or went the other direction like Hawthorne or Ryoko and dressed like boys. What happened to the age of dresses! She wished she was back in the 50's.
"Oh come on it's not like I'm making you wear these slut clothes....then you'd have a reason to complain." Ayeka said. While Hawthorne was changing Ayeka walked around the racks trying to find something she thought Hawthorne might like, unfortunately the only things she could find were a little to low cut for her liking. Eventually she found a pink dress that had such little fabric that it could barely be called a dress, more of a bra then anything. She raced back to Hawty's changing room and thrusted it through the curtains.
"You could always try this." She said giggling to herself.

She just didn't understand all this dress hype. Girls looked just fine in pants, and they didn't restrict your movement like a dress or skirt would. But, since it would make Ayeka happy, and the woman was scary . . .
"Oh come on it's not like I'm making you wear these slut clothes....then you'd have a reason to complain."
O.o She was getting scarier and scarier the more time they spent together. Maybe approaching her had been a bad idea. Oh boy.
"You could always try this."
"Ayeka," Hawthorne refused to touch the dress, "I will never wear anything like that. If you make it on, I will find something terribly hooker-shiek for you to try on."

Ayeka giggled at Hawthornes disgust towards the pink dress. Honestly it made Ayeka feel dirty just holding the thing. She felt like she should burn it, to save anyone else ever having to look at it ever again. Instead she simply through the "dress" back onto one of the racks and giggled.
"Don't worry Hawthorne, i wouldn't force you to wear that, it'd make you look like a prostitute." Ayeka hadn't realised but a girl had walked behind her as she had said that wearing a very similar outfit. The girl had looked very hurt but Ayeka simply giggled.
"Now, show me what the dresses look like." Ayeka said sitting on one of the stools.

"Yeah, and then some. I think I've seen prostitutes that wore more clothing!"
She laughed along with Ayeka. As long as she was just joking, then it was okay. She didn't mind a little teasing between friends. Besides, the thought of either one of them in that dress was laughable.
"Now, show me what the dresses look like."
The demon-woman actually expected her to display herself in those . . . things?!? Ack! She had kinda planned on haunting the changing stalls and calling out her progress, but it was not to be. She supposed she'd better start with the red dress. She slowly undressed, and pulled it on. At least it covered everything important. She stepped out through the curtain, and turned to Ayeka.

Ayeka looked at Hawthorne in the red dress, because of her skin tone and build a red dress would probably have suited her, however the colour might have been a bit to bright. Ayeka thought the dress itself looked very nice on Hawthorne though.
"I don't understand why you hate dresses so much, it's not as if it would pain you to make yourself a tiny bit more presentable." Ayeka said trying to word herself very carefully. Although Hawthorne had a very friendly and relaxed nature she had seen earlier that the girl was obviously not afraid to yell if she felt she had to.

Re: Just the Essentials (Attn: Xraney) "I don't understand why you hate dresses so much, it's not as if it would pain you to make yourself a tiny bit more presentable."
That particular statement appealed to Hawthorne's sense of humour. She burst out laughing. Thorny even went as far as to squeeze out a couple mirthful tears as she clutched her sides in hilarity. Trying desperately to catch her breath, Thorne straightened a bit to speak to Ayeka.
"Make myeself . . . presentable? Every day? Lady, you are one crazy green-hair. I couldn't immagine being concerned with my appearance that much. Besides, no one would notice."
She was convinced that she was right on this matter, but Haw wouldn't press the issue with Ayeka right now. The two girls were starting to enjoy one another's company, so why force things?
