Well, its the weekend here at MHS. Wouldn't it be great if all schools started on a Friday for the first day of school. What a way to start off. You get a weekend right after your first day. Well, this is because we are done with the first day of class. How so you ask. As you only went to one class. yes, but I am sure that doing the same thing for each class would get boring. So the one class you experienced is basically how all the classes are going to be.
Teacher posts role. Day gets started, end of class happens, everyone goes to their next class, or home..
Well, ezboard still hasn't confirmed anything on a final date when everything is changed over to Yuku. And we are working on what to do next. We all want user friendliness after everything is changed away from Ezbaord, and we are trying everything we can to ensure that we have just that when we are at a new board hosting site.
We have a guest book. Take a look. If you haven't taken a look yet, be sure and do so. ^_^

Ayeka looked at Hawthorne with extreme confusion when she started laughing. What on earth was wrong with her? Was she ill. When Hawthorne spoke Ayeka shook her head. Honestly she wished they started teaching etiquette classes at manga high and made girls like Ryoko and Hawthorne take them.
"What about pride in yourself? What about feeling good about the way you appear and how other see you? Honestly Hawthorne where were your parents when they should have been teaching you these things?" Ayeka asked tossing another dress at Hawthorne as she spoke.

This was the kind of question that long ago Hawthorne had learned to write off with non-chalance. She was so used to questions being asked about her parents that it didn't matter anymore.
"Well, I guess my mother was too busy trying to kill herself because her 5-year-old daughter was dead, and my father was too far into his liquor bottle. Why?"
There was no emotion in Hawthorne's voice as she spoke, it was like she was talking about the weather. She casually caught the dress that Ayeka threw, and went back intot he changing room to try it on.

Ayeka was completely shocked to hear the lack of empathy, much less the actual content of what Hawthorne had said to her. Her jaw dropped open in shock and she stared at the girl with a look of concern mixed with confusion. Something inside her told her she should leave it at that however she also wanted to know how someone could so casually say something of such magnitude.
"Well...i guess parents can't get it right all the time. You probably wouldn't believe me if i told you but my parents..." She paused for a moment. Although she didn't think Hawthorne would judge her she was still reluctant to tell her about her origins especially after how ryoko had reacted.
"My parents are hippies, they live in a sharehouse with about 20 other hippies and my brother and sister and do nothing except smoke marijuana and play frisbee all day."

Hawthorne wondered what kinda people produced a child like Ayeka. She was so . . . reserved. Perhaps her parents were a little Authoritarian, that would make her make sense. Still, Thorny wasn't like her own parents so you never knew . . .
"My parents are hippies, they live in a sharehouse with about 20 other hippies and my brother and sister and do nothing except smoke marijuana and play frisbee all day."
Well, that was not what she had expected. She saw the green-haired girl in a whole new light now. It kinda made sense, she went to the exact opposite end of the spectrum of her parental units. She was kinda like a backwards James Dean . . .
"Wow Ayeka, I never figured you for a rebel. Congratulations on the refusal to accept the societal norms set in place by your parents. Though, they're cultural choices certainly explain your unique powers . . ."
She came out of the changing room again, this time wearing a green dress.

Ayeka thought to herself for a moment. She had never considered herself a rebel, mainly because her parents weren't the type to set rules for her to break and her grandparents ran things just the way she liked them. When hawthorne spoke about Ayeka's powers she realised how lucky she was to indeed have lived with her mother.
"I suppose your right, i mean my mother only taught me how to talk to trees in hopes that I'd then turn into a hippy as well. Although it's actually funny, without her i would have never met my fiancee John." Ayeka said looking down at her wedding ring. She hadn't seen John in quite a while and she was starting to miss him now.
"That dress isn't for you i don't think" She said barely looking. She instead focused on her ring and sighed.

"Well see? Some good things come out of every situation, you just have to look for the silver lining, my dear. You'll have to introduce me to this John fella sometime. He sounds amazing."
"That dress isn't for you i don't think"
Hawthorne sighed. So she'd have to try on yet another stinking dress. She backed back into the changeroom and looked at the dresses she still had to try. She grabbed the blue one because she liked the colour. She pulled off the green dress, and came out wearing the new one.
"What about this one?"

Ayeka nodded in agreement. She did agree that in hinsight perhaps her parents did provide some importance in her life. Still she was angry at her mother for forcing her to come here to learn about her powers, but then again perhaps MHS would also have a silver lining. When Ayeka saw the blue dress she almost wished it came in her size so she could buy it.
"Thats the dress for you." She said smiling. "Now, wait here we still have to find two more for you." Ayeka said running back through the aisles. She picked up four more dresses and brought them back to Hawthorne.
"These are more of a social feel...i might let you shop for "intimate" affairs dresses on your own..."

Re: Just the Essentials (Attn: Xraney) "Thats the dress for you."
Hawthorne let out a sigh of relief. Finally they had a dress, now they could leave, obviously. Except . . .
"Now, wait here we still have to find two more for you."
The demon woman was insatiable! Was there no end to the torture that she was going to inflict on another female? Hawthorne was about dress-shopped out. Still, the green-haired girl was kinda intimidating, so she meekly retreated back into the dressing room with the next armful. Why her?
"These are more of a social feel...i might let you shop for "intimate" affairs dresses on your own..."
Yeah, like that would happen. Why would she willingly subject herself to this kinda abuse? She was starting to think that Ayeka was the Queen of All Evil. It wasn't bad, just scary. She grabbed up a yellow dress and pulled it on. She didn't mind this one either, if she was completely honest with herself, which there was no way in hell she was gonna be.
"How about this one, Ayeka?"

Ayeka looked at the yellow dress and then back at Hawthorne, in truth the dress was not a very flattering colour on the girl but when she looked at hawthorne's face she could see that the girl was obviously in intense mental anguish over the thought of trying on more dresses. Ayeka sighed and nodded.
"I think it looks very nice. Do you want to get those two and maybe grab something to eat?" Ayeka asked handing her the blue dress as well.

Hawthorne nodded emphatically, trying very hard not to sigh in relief. She was half convinced that the evil girl would drag her out again after they ate, but at least for now she could stop, sit, and enjoy a part of their outing at least.
She accepted the blue dress from Ayeka and disappeared back into the change room. She quickly pulled off the yellow dress, and, feeling safe from Ayeka in here, sighed in relief as she slid into her new clothes. She came out carrying the two dresses and gave Ayeka a curious look.
"So, where would you like to eat? I'm not picky."

Ayeka watched the other girls face go from to complete misery to absolute elation when she told her they were finally finished and shook her head while Hawthorne was in the change room. Was it really so terrible? It's not like she had asked her to perform brain surgery.
"I will never understand todays youth" She muttered while waiting for Hawthorne to exit the changing room. The girl looked much happier now. Ayeka walked with her up to the register and then looked out the glass window.
"Hmm I'm not why don't we just go to the food court and have a look around?" She asked waiting for the other girl to pay

At the register, Hawthorne gave Ayeka an embarassed look. She reached down and pulled a huge wad of bills out of her right moccasin. She knew that it wasn't where you were supposed to keep money, but it was harder for people to knick it from there.
The lady at the counter sniffed disdainfully at her, and named an obnoxiously high price. Hawthorne sighed in resignation, and dolefully counted out the requisite number of bills. It barely made a dent in the stack of cash.
"Hmm I'm not why don't we just go to the food court and have a look around?"
"Sure, Ayeka. Sounds like a great idea!"
Sticking her pierced tongue out at the lady, Hawthorne accepted the bag and followed her green-haired friend out the front door of the shop. It was so nice to be out of there.

As the two girls walked Ayeka spotted a bathroom. Now that Hawthorne had her dresses she thought now would be a time for her to show them off, because Ayeka was not one to be seen in public with someone who looked like she had gotten dressed in a very dark room. However, she did not know how best to ask Hawthorne to go change, so she just did.
" Look Hawthorne, there is a ladies room. Perhaps now would be a good time for you to change into one of your dresses." she said.

Hawthorne turned to the green-haired demon-woman, looking at her like she had just sprouted horns. Change into one of the dresses? While they wandered around in the malls? Was her head screwed on the right way?
"Ummm . . . . why would this be a good time to wear one of the dresses? Aren't they for, you know, going out and stuff? Not for wandering about on an average day . . . right?"
She was nervous. Thorny wasn't ready to flaunt about in women's clothing quite yet, the thought had her brain all in a fit.
"Because, you know, I wouldn't want to ruin them or anything . . ."

Ayeka looked at Hawthorne and saw that, in the girls eyes she looked as though she was about to take one of the dresses from her bag and use it to strangle her. Ayeka decided that while she would have prefered not to be seen in public with someone dressed the way the other girl was she valued her life to much to press the issue.
"I suppose your right..." She said drifting off awkwardly. The two walked in silence until they finally arrived at the food court. Ayeka walked off towards a salad shack and ordered a salad for herself. She hadn't seen where Hawthorne had gone to get her food.

The girl seemed a little awkward, and Hawthorne sighed. They walked quietly to the food court, and as soon as Ayeka wandered off to the salad shack, she headed back to the ladies' room. This was really important to Ayeka, and it was the least she could do.
So, dodging into one of the stalls, she quickly pulled on the yellow dress, grimacing slightly as she did so. Damn but she hated girls clothes. Still, her friend wanted it . . .
As soon as she was changed, Hawthorne went back to the food court and picked up a Falafel at the Pita Pit. She was hungry, and that was just what she wanted. Then she looked around to see where the other girl had gone.

Ayeka took a seat at one of the tables and placed her salad down in front of her. She began scanning the crowded food court for her new friend. At first she couldn't spot the pierced girl in amongst the crowd of people until she realised she was looking for the wrong person. When she finally noticed Hawthorne in her yellow dress she couldn't help but smile, the other girl obviously knew how much it meant to her.
She stood up from her table and waved her hands in the air to get Hawthorne's attention. As she walked towards her Ayeka's smile got wider and she was sure she was soon break out in laughter. Hawthorne looked so strange in a dress.
"You didn't have to change" she said sitting back down.

Re: Just the Essentials (Attn: Xraney) "You didn't have to change"
She smiled at the green-haired girl and put her tray on the table, sliding into her seat across from the other girl. Her movements were a little stilted and awkward in the long yellow dress, but still, it was worth the reaction. Some things deserved compromise, after all.
"I know I didn't have to, but it was a small request. If I'm able to do something for a pal, then I may as well attempt it, right?"
It was the main theory behind Thorne's interractions with other people. She liked to make them happy, and if it wasn't really anything majorly against her morals, then what was the harm. Besides, the girl was doing her such a favour by helping her out.
Hawthorne picked up the falafel and took a small bite. She was pleasantly surprised, the Pita Pit in this mall was actually pretty good. She guessed she'd have to come back here to eat again at a later date.
Re: Just the Essentials (Attn: Xraney)
Arthur was out cruising the mall, drifting aimlessly through the crowds and looking at all the pretty things in the mall windows. Today he was wearing long, baggy jeans that fell over his sneakers, a baggy faux-jersey (number 04, his favorite number), and baseball cap angled down over his face. The fashion might be a little extravagent, but it made it far easier to hide any of his little five-finger discounts.
Not that he was stealing much, just enough to keep his hand in. Today, he just dropped off items he picked up in one store into other stores. He wondered how many teenage clerks would take the opportunity to actually steal the extra items, but that was all on them.
After a while he decided to cruise to the food court. People often left their bags out, and a little judicious swapping made for some great street theater. Rolling a small rubber ball from a 'gumball' machine in his fingers, he scanned the crowd for a good mark.
His eyes alighted on a strange girl, noting with approval the the pretty yellow dress, the several studs, the... Wait a minute. He rolled that back over his head. No, something didn't add up here. He watched her a bit longer, noting how she fidgeted in the dress and how her companion wore the cat with the canary smile. Ah, so miss priss there had decided to take pity on goth girl and dress her up nice. Well, that was something you didn't see every day. He wasn't going to find a better show then this, so grinning, he approached their table.
He stepped right up, turning to smile at the goth girl. "Excuse me, miss, but I just had to say, that I admire anyone who has the courage to wear a dress these days. You look positively lovely." Smile calm, he waited for the explosion.

Re: Just the Essentials (Attn: Xraney)
Ayeka smiled to her new friend, she had certainly misjudged the death metal fan when she first met her, it was one of the many things she was learning since she had arrived at the school and it was a lesson she would hope to never forget. Although it would take some getting used to...
"Well thankyou" She answered smiling sweetly. Before she was able to continue a boy walked up to the two girls and made a remark about Hawthorne's appearance. Was he daft? Anyone within a 20 foot radius could see she looked uncomfortable. This boy was obviously here to make trouble and Ayeka would not stand for it. She gracefully rose from her seat and stood in front of the man.
"Excuse me but this is a private conversation...." Before he could even move Ayeka's hands rushed to her trusty mace keyring and fired a shot towards the boys eyes hoping it would blind him, if nothing else it would at least teach him good manners.
