An unfinished vendetta!
Alex had been sitting at the bar for quite some time. The room had finally decided to become socially active once again ocne they saw he wasn't here to cause trouble. Craddling a beer in one hand, Alex looked down the neck of the bottle and into the belly of the beast. Drinking was probably the worst way to get rid of his problems, but it at least relieved a little stress. This fundraising thing had been going well, but so many people were coming now. He felt that much more pressure put onto him to do well. It was somewhat overwhelming.

He then looked up at the bartender who seemed to still be a little gittery. He had been wiping down the same mug for about fifteen minutes now. The shaman shook his head with a bit of a smile and downed the last of his beer. It slid down his throat and felt nice and cool all the way down. He then wiped his mouth with the back of his hand and slammed the bottle down onto the counter.

"Hey, bartender!" Alex demanded as he looked at the man behind the counter once more.

"Y-y-yes sir!?" he replied, looking like he was at gunpoint with Alex's eyes being the sights of the gun.

"Scotch, on the rocks. Make it good, too!" was the order that was barked back.

The bartender then slunk off to go fix Alex his drink as quickly as possible, hoping the boy would be satisfied with his skills. The boy had a reputation for being particularly nasty around this crowd and it wasn't a well kept secret around town. Anyone who was anyone now knew the exploits of the red shirted shaman that once destroyed the bar with a few of his friends.

Kobita could tell there was something wrong with Alex when he came to a place like this. Not only did this place scare the crap out of him, it wasn't clean either. Kobita had effectively snuck into the building by tricking the already drunk bouncer that there was free beer down the street and if you drank enough you got even more. He was gone in a heartbeat.

Kobita smiled as he saw Alex, the smile dissapeared a she saw Alex drinking. Kobita pushed through the crowd and took up the seat next to Alex. It was up to Kobita to make him feel better, at least he hadn't got hit with something yet. "Hey what's wrong. You're going to that tournament perk up." Kobita said in his usual carefree tone.

Kanami glanced around, finally deciding that she was quite bright dressed against the atmosphere of this place. Soft pink shirt, a red pleated skirt and dark stockings; maybe she should've dressed a little darker. Whatever!

"Time for a little observation..."

The girl was looking for new faces, students she had not yet recorded on a database. From several observations of this area, many students are known to frequest here even though this place was not exactly...kid-friendly. Was that the right word? For a place that was supposed to be rebuilt, it seemed so seedy, maybe even a place where sinful things always happen.
The slim little camera, her constant companion was in a small bag secure over her shoulder. It would bounce at her hip when she walked.

This place is so creepy! Who the hell would want to hang in here at all?

Mitsuko strolled upto the doors of the bar, itd been a long time since she'd even thought about coming here, but hell she needed something funny, anything really. Stupid everying was starting to stress her.

Better be something, her montra for the night.

'Plan for the night, get tipsy and dance...dont over do the skankness' She giggled at her thoughts, she wasnt dressed all that flashy like usual but still: darkblue Skin tight jeans and a black tank-top semi-revealing.

She walked into the doors, no bartender there to usually pad her down...slowly. 'already something ooo this is gonna be good'

V's bouncer, Stone, is manning one of the doorways, a solid, grim monolithic man who rarely smiles, especially when kids from that high school for monsters begin to sneak in. He has nothing against monsters, until they interfere with his job; he's off in another twenty minutes, though -- when Genevieve Vendetta shows up, as quiet as a very quiet creature, all luminous and golden with those lovely honey-sweet eyes, and that air of aloofness some people practice for hundreds of years before they get it quite right. She begins to pull out her school ID, but he stops her; says, "You shouldn't hang around these kinds of places," and she nods, in agreement, and then goes inside.

She's dressed in her usual black, a warm black jacket over it all, and her golden hair loose and full of static. She doesn't expect other students, not at the bar, not on the dance floor, not at any of the dark, shadowy little corners in the back, which would like to speak, just want to be asked to divulge all their bitter secrets.

...Which is why she's surprised to recognize Alex and Kobita.

Re: An unfinished vendetta!
AHA! She had already recognized Alex sitting at the bar, but drinking? Kanami raised an eyebrow; when the hell does such a cheery person gets all depressed and drunk in such a manner?

She would leave him be for now. There were other faces in the bar that stirred interests in her, students she had seen on campus; a curvacious, pretty girl (11th grade maybe!), a short blond boy, and another girl with hair and eyes like gold. Interesting, interesting...

"I didn't think so many students hung out here..." she said, not realizing she was speaking aloud. So starts the investigation time! She casually wandered around the nightclub, remaining inconspicuous for now.

Pick and choose the ones you want to know and attack!

Kanami decided to by the order that she had seen them, and made made another inconspicous move, this time to get close to the pretty older girl.

Mitsuko walked over to the bar, trying not to look like she was puting out, she wasnt used to it and was really quite hard for her.

Finally making it to the bar she just ordered a Jack Daniels, her personal favorite.

"Thanks" She took the drink and turned arround inspecting the bar, wasnt much fun yet but something was bound to happen.

Alex looked over at the boy as his drink slid across the bar. With expert reflexes, the shaman caught his drink, still swivled around on the stool to face his friend. He then took a small sip and set the scotch back onto the bar. It was nice to get some spirits into him and this place had always been known for it's stronger alchools.

"Just a little nervous. Everyone seems to be counting on me now to do well." he explained as he looked beyond Kobita to a girl at the bar. "I guess I just don't want to let everyone's hopes down."

Kobita found amusement in the situation because his chair spun. So naturally Kobita spun around on it a few times. "Well... if you're worried about letting people down lets look at a few little facts. First off, its a field trip and we're getting away from the school, we're proud of you for getting us out of there. Second, lets look at who else around here could have gone. You think I'd stand a chance there? I'd be eaten alive."

Kobita kept spinning slowly in the chair as he talked. He stopped facing away from the bar. "If you think about it, your kinda like the schools shining ray of light, and Yakoutio is a bunch of babies crying." Kobita smiled, hoping so enthusiasm would perk him up. "You being there in the first place put us past the capability of entering the let down stage."

"Hey, thanks man." Alex said, smiling a little uncontrolably.

He felt much better knowing the school had his back no matter what. It was a good feeling to have so many friends that liked you enough to get you through the rough times. Hell, maybe he would even win! Kobita did say he was one of the strongest fighters he had seen at the school. Now that was a compliment. Most of the students were rough characters, able to crush most acomplished fighters around the world. Even Kobita had his share of talented moves in a rumble, despite what he always said.

"You aren't so bad yourself, y'know? I heard you gave Yakoutio a run for his money the last time you guys faced off. Don't go putting down your own skills like that, even if it is to cheer me up." he said, laughing at the last part.

Re: An unfinished vendetta!
V can either continue to the bar, and ignore those she recognizes as her fellow students, or she can leave and decide to come back another night; what she does is this.

V tucks a loosening strand of gold back behind er ear, and walks up to the bar; however, her half-absent attention brings her bumping into a girl with thick hair scuttling sneakily toward Mitsuko, the bombshell already at the bar, nursing a Jack Daniels. Kanami. "Pardon me," she says, pitching her voice to be heard despite the music, but not to carry.

And then she leans against the bar (just behind Alex) and waves over a bartender, as soon as she can get their attention. While the bartender finishes polishing some of the dingy, well-cracked glasses, V pokes Alex (gently) between the shoulderblades.

"Boo." Pause. "Hi, Alex. Hi, Kobita. What are you two doing here?"

(Somebody, on the other side of the bar, coughs something like, 'Who let all the kids in', although they're certainly not referring to Alex; no, he has the place pretty well quieted down. Of course, there are always some...)

Alex shot the man who coughed something degrating a dirty look. He quickly slumped into his chair, not wishing to anger the boy and the two seemed at a ceasefire. Alex then looked over at Genevieve and smiled, sipping his drink once more.

"Hey there. Didn't see you come in." he said in a semi-cheerful manner. The atmosphere just seemed to sap some of the light-heartedness away from everything. "What's a pretty girl like you doing in a place like this?"

He then winked jokingly and laughed, rubbing the back of his head as usual. It wasn't as vigourous, though. Even Alex's child-like aura seemed to be dininished in the rough and tumble scene around them.

Kobita had turned back around in his seat as V made her way over, not noticing her approach. Kobita looked around at the place, confused as to why Alex would come here. "So why did you come he..."

V's surprise startled Kobita and naturally, he fell of the stool and hit his head. "OWWWW. Why does everyone at this school have to sneak up on me?" Kobita mumbled rubbing his head.

Kobita quickly got back up as soon as he realized how filthy the floor was. "Yeah why did either of you come here? This place is scary." Kobita said as his eyes searched again, his hand still nursing his sore head.

Kanami took the empty seat next to Mitsuko, ordering herself something light. A glass of wine would do, any more and it could jeapordize the investigation. She glanced over, seeing Alex, the blond guy and the golden-haired girl and smirked.

Ah good! The masses are gathering, better for questioning.

Without facing the pretty older girl next to her, she spoke just enough so that she could hear her.

"Mitsuko Souma, meaning of name possibly 'child of Mitsu'. Born in Tokyo, and an interesting history but out of respect I will ot repeat. Tools of your trade, your own body. You also seem to have power over plasma. Interesting."

She recited what details she could remember from the database in her laptop. The bartender arrived with her drink and she took a few sips.

Mitsuko's eye brow twitched, this random person, orders a wine busts outa laptop and reads off her profile. Great...another stalker this time its a girl.

She looked over at the girl and give her an up and down, she wasnt bad but not many people had a body like her own.

Mitsuko looked over and poked the girl, she was standing beside her.

"You Forgot something in your stalker profile" Her fists were clenched, shed better have a good reason to have all that info or there would be some blood loss

Kanami grinned at her. She had done nothing wrong and therefore she had no fear. She did note however that Mitsuko was one to have a quick temper, she could see it in her eyes.

"Why does everyone seem to think I'm a stalker?"

She thought aloud, putting a finger to her cheek. She shrugged and glanced over at Mitsuko again. She had to be quick to explain herself, before she decided to deck her.

"I like observing people, how they are, who they are, and what they do. I'm just a curious girl."

(ooc: Actually, no laptop. She has a database in her laptop and remembered every detail she saw. ^-^)

"curious?" Mitsuko sit back down, that had to be the most stupid thing she'd ever heard.

"Yeah RIIGHT...you have every student just be cause your curious?...seems kinda time consuming and a waste..."

Mitusko knew the school had a lot of odd people but this was just the cherry on the cake, a stalker...a good one but a stalker none-the-less

Kanami poked the crystal wineglass; was it such a wasteful thing to memorize such little things? Wha the hell did this woman know, she's one of the freak power-people!

Okay, calm down. You're one of them now too, so stop thinking like a hard-ass.

"I can't really help it. For example, part of the sign outside is brighter than the rest of it, and there's also a spider web underneath."

Kanami shrugged, knowing that she didn't bother to mention her real power. It was weird enough as it was to have photographic memory.

"See? Eidetic memory kind of does that."

Alex winks and V might have said something, but Kobita drops! To the ground! Lies there! V peers over, to see if he's okay. Then he sees the two inch filth (old blood, old vomit; whatever didn't get 'cleaned up' last time, not to mention spilled drinks and mud tracked in from outdoor) on the ground and springs up, grasshopper quick. "Are you hurt?" -- she asks, as if concerned. The question : why the Shattered Blessing ? Genevieve held her chin with her thumb and forefinger : that classic thoughtful pose. "Ah . . . I've been here before. But it is a place with many cruel people. I wouldn't want to meet most of them. Like that one man; Geo?" Here, a querying glance, to Alex.

"Heheh, yeah, Giovanni Acerbi. The big guy with the gun over there." Alex said, pointing out the large italian with an M60 for an arm. "I hope another fight doesn't break out. I'm not in the mood to settle vendettas tonight. Besides, I've broken enough bones in this place for a lifetime."

He then took a sip of his drink before continuing his explination.

"As for why I come here, probably because of the quiet. I've established a name in this place and it makes sure everyone shuts up and keeps to themselves. That and they have some wicked scotch."

The shaman laughed at his own ending point and finished off his drink. He slammed it against the counter, beckoning the bartender to come and refill it. Out of instinct now, the bartender read the sign and picked up the glass to go refill it. Alex simply kept his back to the bar and waited for his next drink to arrive.

"Yep...Peace and quiet..."

"In Short your a stalker, who likes to waste time stalking the world, got it...but why the wine?" Mitsuko cradled her drink in her hands before drinking the last bit and getting another from the bartender.

"I think you could use the brain of yours for something better" Mitsuko reached over and poked the girl in between her eyes.

"so you know my name, whats yours?"
