Knives glared at Sinatic, as the boy looked back at him after the punch. This boy was angering him; everything he said to Dango, and about Dango....he had no respect for the girl, and Knives was not going to take it anymore. He was going to pound this weak boy, who (from what Knives could see), was a normal human. And he did begin to do so, rearing back his fist once more, ready to throw another punch.

But the situation took a turn. Sinatic was pulled away from him before Knives could continue his barrage of hits, and another man entered the scene. Knives barely heard the rest of what was happening, he just glared at the other boy, his fists clenched tightly at his sides. He couldn't get to Sinatic: no, Dango's father was in the way....but as soon as he got his chance...

As Knives glared, he noticed the gun being drawn. At that, he began to advance; but he hadn't the time before he saw the barrel pointing straight at him. The click of the gun being cocked (what's the word I'm looking for...?) signalled that this boy was serious. and then he heard another click: the trigger was being pulled. It was fortunate that guns were so loud, as it gave him time to step aside before the bullet was even fired.

But apparently, Dango didn't know he could have avoided the shot. As he was stepping, he felt her body slam into his, sending both of them falling to the floor. When he hit the pavement, he became a little disoriented for a second, his eyes closed. And then the smell of blood and burning flesh hit him, initially making him think he had been shot. But there was no pain. That thought made his eyes snap open, and he looked down, seeing the bullet wound in Dango's leg. His eyes became wide, and he put his arms around her, moving to stand up. Before he could get anywhere, he felt her body tugged from his grip.

"What are you doing?" Knives shouted as he stood up. "We need to get Dango to the nurse!" He turned his eyes to Isamu, his face carrying a completely serious look, with a glint of worry in his eyes. He was obviously scared for Dango. This was nothing like the normal Knives, a look that few had seen on him before. "Isamu, we'll take your bike. It's faster than these cars, I think..." He knew simply because of Isamu beating him to the mountains the day before...

With that, he reached out and took Dango from the man's arms, not waiting for a reaction. He could care less about her father at the moment, only about Dango's safety. He looked up at the man a moment, saying "I'm sorry, but I need to take care of her...." And then, he turned to face Isamu.

"Lead me to your bike! I'll carry her on the back, so that you can drive..."
