We have added a few things to the requirements to power and ability upgrades. Be sure and read the details in the most recent update when you request a new power / upgrade.
Well, its the weekend here at MHS. Wouldn't it be great if all schools started on a Friday for the first day of school. What a way to start off. You get a weekend right after your first day. Well, this is because we are done with the first day of class. How so you ask. As you only went to one class. yes, but I am sure that doing the same thing for each class would get boring. So the one class you experienced is basically how all the classes are going to be.
Teacher posts role. Day gets started, end of class happens, everyone goes to their next class, or home..
Well, ezboard still hasn't confirmed anything on a final date when everything is changed over to Yuku. And we are working on what to do next. We all want user friendliness after everything is changed away from Ezbaord, and we are trying everything we can to ensure that we have just that when we are at a new board hosting site.

Isamu was about to frown but smiled as the last part was added. He knew things would be tough but that didnt matter to him, as long as Dango would visit him, he would make it through it all.

Isamu sighed as the guard arrived, he knew the time was coming but he didn't expect to be so soon. As Dango asked him about being released, he shook his head. He had plans for his stay, he knew the experiments would begin again and that he could gain real abilities through his stay.
His only concern was his safety... Besides, he knew Yoko and Dango could get closer through breaking him out, something that Yoko was already thinking about.
"I'm fine Dango, just go comfort Yoko...She's going to need it. I'll be out soon anyways!"
Isamu winked as he finished up speaking. He gave a wink to Dango before signaling it was. Quickly he looked from the guard to Dango. "Take care of yourself as well, ok?"

Dango's look was grim as she exited the prison cell, shooting a warning gaze towards him.
"If anything happens to him, I will see your job"
The guard looked at Dango for a moment, but didn't say anything as he shut the gate behind her.
"I'm fine Dango, just go comfort Yoko...She's going to need it. I'll be out soon anyways!"
"Hmm.. Yoko... "
"Take care of yourself as well, ok?"
Dango glanced over her shoulder at him and smirked.
"I'm not the one behind bars, am I?"
She made her way towards the door, wondering if Knives was outside.

Knives was, indeed, still outside. How else was he going to get home? The taxi had left, and Dango was now in possession of the car that he'd come downtown in. So he sat on the curb just outside the building, waiting for her or Isamu to exit, so that they could return home. He sighed, arms draped over his knees, eyes staring out at the distance, and waited.
His hand reached into his pocket, and dug out his cell phone once again. He was getting a little impatient, but that was just because he didn't like sitting and waiting for long periods of time. His eyes turned down to look at the face of the phone, to see the digital numbers across it: it had been a half hour now. He sighed and put his phone back. Would they take too much longer? Possibly...
Just then, his ear twitched. He heard footsteps; muffled footsteps, coming from within the building, but the fact he could hear them at all signified that someone was in the entryway, and might possibly be leaving the building. He smirked; he'd been given the time to cool down, and was no longer angry. His logic had even taken over, giving him the opportunity to realize that there wasn't really any danger; this was Dango's agency, was it not? So, he smirked, and stood up, turning around to walk back towards the building rather casually, one hand in the pocket of his khaki shorts.
((I'm assuming Dango comes outside....if not, ignore the post from this point on, and I'll edit it out...))
And then, she came out through the doors. He gave her his big, goofy grin as he approached. Even though he believed she was alright, his eyes couldn't help but make sure she had no wounds anywhere, nothing to show that Isamu had shot her like he initially believed. He saw nothing, and his muscles loosened up a bit. He came to stand before her, smiling down at her.
"I almost gave up hope you were comin out!" He laughed a little, "And then the taxi driver drove away....I was hopin I wasn't gonna get stranded and have to spend the night in this parking lot..."
He shrugged a little, before going back to smiling down at her, and waiting for her response. It felt just like before, the last night at the club; except this time, Dango wasn't injured, and that alone was enough to make him keep grinning stupidly.

The voice had interupted Dango's thoughts and she looked up to see Knives. Her voice caught in her throat, completly forgetting she had kind of left him stranded at the club.
"Knives - I - "
Pause -
Dango's shoulder's slouched a bit as she reached for her keys. She had been angry at him for awhile, but it had passed now as she threw her keys towards him.
"Here, you can drive. I don't think I'm really up for it tonight"
She walked towards the car, pulled out her spare set and opened the passenger door. Before she got in, however, she stopped and looked at him.
" - I'm sorry. For leaving you out here, like this."

He just continued grinning stupidly at her as she looked up at him, obviously finally noticing him. It was obvious that something was bothering her; maybe he could fix it by making her happier? Knives was very fun-loving and goofy; he had no problem cheering people up, mostly by making them laugh. He tilted his head to the side, as she began to speak.
"Here, you can drive. I don't think I'm really up for it tonight"
He blinked a couple times, his ears twitching, as he gave her a curious look. There was obviously something she'd wanted to say, and had cut off before she did so. But he wasn't going to push her. For some reason, things were suddenly very strange between them, and he couldn't understand why; he cared about her, but didn't require those feelings from her. Why did it have to affect their friendship? He sighed and nodded, catching the keys as they were thrown to him,and turning to lead her towards the vehicle.
"I'm sorry bout the bumper, it got torn off when I was trying to get back to the nurse that night you were shot..." He glanced back at her. He hadn't been able to explain fully, and he knew she believed he'd done something bad....But he shrugged, and began walking over to the passenger side of the car, going to open her door; he was a gentleman, and dating or not, he was going to do the gentlemanly thing: he'd done it for Maria earlier, and he only knew her for a couple of days.
" - I'm sorry. For leaving you out here, like this."
He laughed and shook his head, reaching out with one hand to place on her shoulder. With a big smile on his face, he looked down at hers; if things weren't tense between them, he'd playfully rustle her hair or something, but that wasn't a risk he was willing to take right now. He just gave her a shrug, and responded,
"Nah, don't be sorry. Apparently you had something important to do here, huh? I just came after you cause I thought you got hurt chasing down Isamu...." He nodded. It was true; he had been worried about her.
He helped her into the car, and then walked over to the other side and climbed in. As he fired up the engine and set off, he made sure to take it easy; there was no way he was going to do anything to make her angry with him again. But as they were on their way, he glanced over to her, and gave her a big smile.
"Uhhm....you wanna go somewhere and talk things over?"

Dango's eyes narrowed, did he really not have any clue what the reason was for her being so mad?

When he opened the door for her, she got in and let him shut the door beside her. She waited for him to get into the car, before she spoke again.
"Nah, don't be sorry. Apparently you had something important to do here, huh? I just came after you cause I thought you got hurt chasing down Isamu...."
"I appreciate your concern, but really, I can take care of myself"
"Uhhm....you wanna go somewhere and talk things over?"
There was a long pause, before Dango decided to shake her head.
"I think I have said enough."

He sighed, and looked over at her like a dog who's been hit on the nose with a newspaper. A frown came to his face, and he nodded slightly, before lowering his eyes to her feet, giving him a rather pitiful look. He wasn't trying to look cute, or to make her less angry about the situation. In fact, he realized he'd been wrong, and felt pretty bad for doing something to make her mad at him.
"Sorry....you're right...." He sighed. "How can I make it up to you?" He kept his eyes on the road now, as they drove; he could've looked over at her and driven fine, but there were a couple reasons he chose not to. For one thing, he didn't want her to think he was abusing her car....she was obviously a little angry about that, and he didn't want to provoke her; he wanted her to be happy with him.
And then her answer to his next question really got to him. He frowned, and sighed, nodding slightly at the response. His eyes remained on the road, and he didn't move much, other than to give the car gas or to steer it. Something was obviously wrong; he simply wanted to sort this whole mess out, but she seemed pretty fed up with him. A sigh escaped him, and he steered back towards the dorms.
"Okay...so....you don't wanna talk...?"

Dango glanced at him, his apology was sincere and Dango couldn't stay mad at him for long - no matter how long it had been bothering her.
"You could promise never to do it again. That would be enough"
Dango remained silent after that, more focused on the street lamps whirring by as they made their way back to school.
"Okay...so....you don't wanna talk...?"
"I just found out that the agency is the same as the corporation Isamu works for. For some reason, they are after him and more than likely Yoko as well. But Isamu won't accept my help, and I'm beginning to think - I might just their victim as well. Some things are just not adding up, and I'm worried about what's going to come"

Knives blinked at her response to his question. He had intended to talk about them and what was going on between them; he wanted to get rid of this terrible tension Dango seemed to have around him; he just wanted to be her friend, and make it how it used to be. But what she said was satisfactory; after all, if she would open up to him about the agency, maybe they were back on good terms again. He wanted to smile at this thought.
But her words were reason enough ~not~ to smile. All of them were in danger?! Knives frowned at this thought, and shook his head. He glanced quickly to the side at her, to look at her features, to see what her expression was. She seemed bothered; and there was reason to be. But he thought for a moment, and his frown quickly changed to a smirk.
"Remember what I said that night in the forest? I promised to protect you. You'll be alright, kay?" He turned and gave her an encouraging smile, before returning his eyes to the road before them. "And we'll work on getting Isamu out of there. It's alright, we'll solve this problem."
He hoped that both she and Isamu would let him help, though. After all, he wasn't a part of the agency; he was strong, but he didn't have the connections they did, and didn't truly know what they were dealing with. But he expected something to work out...after all, Knives was the first one Dango had told about the agency. Didn't that mean she trusted him? He nodded to himself; even if they said no, he'd force them to let him help. Isamu and Dango were that important to him.
"So, I think we should go somewhere to calm down, kay? I mean, there's nothing we can do now....we'll figure somethin out later." He glanced at her again. She was obviously bothered....he didn't want to just bring her back to campus and let her focus on the issue alone. He sighed, as he tried to come up with a plan to make her feel better....

This wasn't a romantic action (no matter how much he wished it was...), rather he was doing it to comfort her, and to show that he cared about her. And then, after stealing a quick glance at her, he spoke again.

I don't want you to have to go through anything alone if it can be helped, and I really don't want you to get hurt again like before....." He sighed. For the second time, he stole a quick glance at her. They were now approaching the campus, and he would have to decide where they were going now....he hoped that they could spend more time together, especially since he wanted to at least help Dango calm down a little. As he drove down the street, he shot her one of his big, goofy grins.
"So, uhhm....how bout that suggestion I made earlier? I was thinkin we could go to the lake to talk....but if you've got a better suggestion, I'm listenin." He turned to her, still grinning. He hoped that his goofy attitude would at least get a few chuckles out of her, even though he'd not made a joke or anything.

He took her hand, and Dango glanced at him, smiling softly. It was hard to not get close to him - their relationship, even as friends, was complicated.
He loved her. Something like that just didn't disappear, how did it get to that?

It was true, he did love her. But he never asked her to return those feelings. While he wished she would, and he really wanted to be her boyfriend, and do all the things with her that a dating couple would.....it didn't matter. As long as they were best friends, and Dango wasn't avoiding him, he was happy. He didn't need anything else from her, even if he wanted it.
He glanced over to her as she spoke again, in response to his question. Apparently, she was willing to go with him; she seemed much calmer, much more caring, just like before. He smiled happily, turning to give her that goofy grin she must be used to by now. It was alright now, things were getting back to normal. There wasn't really much to talk about, but that didn't change the fact that he wanted to go to the lake. Or wherever.
"Well, nothing's bothering me now." He squeezed her hand. "You've been avoiding me, that's all. But now that we're back to normal....right?....I think everything's okay." He gave her a quick nod, before continuing. "Doesn't mean I don't wanna hang out with my best friend, though. I suggested the lake cause it helps you think, it's very peaceful at night....and because I've been meaning to take you there one night." He gave her a playful wink. It was like him to say these things, whether he loved her or not. He was just a very playful person. "Also....I thought, if you have anything you want to talk to me about, you can....and maybe I can help you plan to help Isamu? After all, he's one of my really good friends, I wanna help out somehow."
They were nearing the turn now. One way was the campus, while the other was the more natural places: the forest, the lake, the meadow, etc. They'd have to make a decision soon. And if she didn't say no, he was going to turn towards the lake....he didn't wanna do anything she didn't want to, but he wanted to spend time with her.
OOC: Whatcha say we make this thread ~after~ Dango disappeared? it even makes sense if you look back at my first couple of posts in the LQ......Also, I'm prolonging the thread cause I like posting with ya ^.^

Dango felt him squeeze her hand, a sigh escaping from her thin lips. Normal? Nothing was normal anymore. But what could she tell him? She couldn't just switch off his feelings, she couldn't go back and change time. She let him keep talking, and when it was finally her turn to talk she decided to be completly honest.
"Knives, do you even know why you have feelings for me? That from beyond friendship? Have you ever stopped and asked yourself why it is you want to be with me so badly?"
Lord knew Dango had been struggling with that question herself.
"Dumpling, might I have a word with you?"
The voice caught Dango off guard, mostly because the voice came from a shimmering cluster of light.
"Huh?"
The cluster of light formed into a figure, a taller man than Dango. A man with long pale blue hair, intense navy blue eyes - a man wearing a black and white suit.
"Helix, what are you doing here?"
"A word with you, alone, please. Before hell shows up."
"Lix as well? He is the last person I want to see - - "
"Vicegrip - "
"Alright, alright. We will go somewhere, just hold on"
Helix expected such a reaction out of Dango, but remained as patience as he usually was. Time was of the factor, especially with something as precious as Dango.
"Knives, I have to go. - - Agency stuff. We will meet up later ok? I have to take the car"
Dango waited for a smile, a nod, anything - despite not getting an answer to her question. Maybe by leaving, he would have to figure out the answer for himself.

Obviously, things weren't alright between them. Was there ever going to be a "normal" again? He just couldn't understand how his feelings would affect their relationship in such a way.....he didn't ask her to return them, couldn't it just be like the old days? After all, he cared about her then, too....just because she knew wouldn't mean he'd treat her very much differently; he'd always make sure of her well-being.
"I know exactly why I like you so much. I could list off a million reasons." He braked slowly, coming to the end of the road where it forked in the different directions they could take. He didn't turn, though; he put the shifter in neutral, and pulled the emergency brake so that the car wouldn't roll. Then, he turned to look at her, a somewhat serious look on his face; it was a smile, but not his usual goofy one. Obviously, the conversation called for it; being funny wasn't going to solve this situation, and he'd have to be serious whether he liked it or not. "Dango....do you want me to list off my reasons? Cause I can. But I don't see why it matters so much. Whether you love me or not is not a problem. I'll be your best friend no matter what your feelings are, always."
The seriousness came and went as fast as that speech did. Now, his goofy grin was back, as he tilted his head to one side and his ears twitched a little, letting her know it was alright.
"But here goes! First of all..." He lifted up the hand that wasn't holding hers, and raised his index finger, as if counting. He was sure he'd have to use more than one hand, but it was more for comedic effect than anything. Unfortunately, he was cut off before he could state his first reason - someone had come to the window. That's what Knives gets for stopping in the middle of the road....
By the time the dog boy looked up, the light had already become a person. Knives wanted to scowl at him, to let him know he was interrupting a very important moment....but he didn't. The boy was obviously one of Dango's co-workers. As they spoke, Knives had nothing to say; he didn't know who they were talking about, and wasn't part of the agency so he couldn't really give out help.
Thought that usually didn't stop him, he felt that now was not the time to interrupt an important conversation just to be funny.
"Knives, I have to go. - - Agency stuff. We will meet up later ok? I have to take the car"
"Awww, but we were gonna go have fun...." He gave her a playful pout, his ears drooping; but it was obvoius that the words and the face were all for comedic effect. He understood, and he was sure she knew that he did. "I guess I'll just walk all the way back to campus...." If she didn't know before, he was sure she'd know he was joking now: after all, the school was right in front of them. It would take little to no effort for him to get there. Just in case, though, he gave her a small smile.
Before he got out of the car, though, he leaned across the dash towards her, and wrapped his arms around her, pulling her in for a tight hug. He'd have done this if he wasn't in love, though the feeling had a small amount to do with it. He sighed, his mouth right next to her ear, and then pulled back reluctantly, leaving his hands on her shoulders for a few short moments even after the hug was over. "You better promise to make this up to me though. I gotta get some of my Dango time, kay?" He gave her a wink, letting her know that, though the meaning behind the words was true, he was once again trying to get a laugh from her. "And if you need my help....you have my number. Just gimme a call, I'll be there to help, no matter what. I promise."
Finally, he climbed out of the car, and with a wave and a smile, headed back to campus.
