We have added a few things to the requirements to power and ability upgrades. Be sure and read the details in the most recent update when you request a new power / upgrade.
Well, its the weekend here at MHS. Wouldn't it be great if all schools started on a Friday for the first day of school. What a way to start off. You get a weekend right after your first day. Well, this is because we are done with the first day of class. How so you ask. As you only went to one class. yes, but I am sure that doing the same thing for each class would get boring. So the one class you experienced is basically how all the classes are going to be.
Teacher posts role. Day gets started, end of class happens, everyone goes to their next class, or home..
Well, ezboard still hasn't confirmed anything on a final date when everything is changed over to Yuku. And we are working on what to do next. We all want user friendliness after everything is changed away from Ezbaord, and we are trying everything we can to ensure that we have just that when we are at a new board hosting site.

Alastair was walking in the quad where he had been attacked. He was searching for a clue, any clue at all that could tell him why a demon lived in side him. He looked a little suspicious scanning the green grass and the hard sidewalks. He had to see why he was half possessed. He looked more and more but he couldn't find anything. He sat on the bench near him to relax a bit and to think about his life.

And with a clink, a penny dropped next to him. The once-owner of the penny was young girl of psuedo-Japanese heritage and an expressive nature in brown eyes. She wore a simple pink hoodie with the label of: "Think: its not illegal yet" and a pair of dark blue jeans. Another small click came from her digital camera, no flash needed.
The girl smirked at him, as if she knew something interesting. Was it about him? Most likely! The girl pulled out a small notebook from her pocket and without even opening it she began to recite:
"Alastair Ackhart. Age 14, grade nine...Huh, you don't look it either. Eye color: distinctly red. Place of Birth: possibly northern Scotland. Proficient with a longsword and apparently longtime friend of Datu Jejomar."
The girl looked up at him with the cute yet devious little smirk.

Alastair was still looking for somthing in the grass when a girl started to say all this information about him. He was thinking back ' Have I ever met this person?' Al stood up strait and asked," I'm sorry but I don't think we've met before... And where did you find all that info?"

The eccentric girl seemed undaunted by his questions and waved the little notebook in her hand, grinning at him again. It was hard to tell of her intentions, or where she would even begin to know those things.
"Wouldn't you like to know?"
And it would seem he won't know anytime soon either. She retrieves her penny from the bench, flipping the coin high into the air-
"I merely pay attention to my surroundings, to the school, to others. You know, you look much older than you are. That's strictly limited to looks anyways."
-and caught it in her hand without a problem. She looked at her hand and then to Alastair, as if trying to decide on something.

"Um, tail, I guess." Alastair seemed a little annoyed. He thought there was more to it than 'merely paying attention'. He stood there, waiting for her to say somthing. He though 'This seems very strange. Who is she?'

And then she would open her hand to reveal the winner: tails. The girl's expression became one of utter disbelief or high annoyance; whichever seemed more humerous to think of. While she didn't seem so threatening, how could such a girl be able to conjure up (too little in her opinion) so many facts about him.
"Damn it all, this penny must be bad luck! Ah well, fair is fair!" She pocked the penny, stepped back once (she needed an arms length of space to introduce herself properly) and then extended her hand.
"Since I lost, I'll tell you something. I'm Kanami and it might be best not to forget my name. I am the mini-journalist and yet the eyes of the school: everywhere and yet nowhere to be seen."
The last sentence she threw in just for kicks, wondering what reaction he'll have.
(ooc: remember: 4 lines or more. Hard to make a good reply with small blurbs of text! ^-^)

" Well then, nice to meet you Kanami. I'm... well you already know who I am. I'm glad you showed up because you could help me a lot. Can you, by any chance, help me look for something? Just anything at all that looks interesting." Alastair never saw this girl and was puzzled. He thought to himself, 'Since when did this girl come to MHS?'?" Oh and by the way..." Alastair put out his hand to shake with this new girl.

"Depends on what you want me to look for."
She shook his hand and then she jumped up onto the bench. The girl plopped down, crossing her legs and arms to assume a guru-appealing position. Kanami may not be a guru but she knew damn well what she was doing. She closed her eyes, said "om" and then spoke again:
"I can find information on any student if I already don't have it and on most things few-to-no one knows about. All that I ask is to be compensated for it. It can be money or an exchange of favors; whatever suits ya."
Kanami opened one eye. "So what do you want to find?"

Alastair looked at Kanami and said," Well, you see, I was attacked a few days ago and I really don't know what I'm looking for." Alastair sounded pretty clue-less right know but he needed to just find something." It's probably near this spot where I'm standing. My attacker stood right here about."

Kanami took a glance around the Quad, making silent mental assessments to distance, angles and whatnot. However, maybe to Alastair, it looked like she was just looking around and thinking of an answer. Finally, she tapped her cheek once: eureka!
"You know...I might have something. My eyes are everywhere, so I'm sure I might've seen this attacker of yours. For clarity, this attacker, I need to know all that you remember of him. Any details will help."

" Well, He was in a dark trenchcoat...... That's it. He was a demon, and he is now inside me. He gave me these eyes and he gives me pain attacks at least once a day. Is that enough info." There was anger behind his voice. Not at Kanami, but at the demon. He hated it and sometimes he wants to kill himself in the pain attacks.

She completely disregarded the anger in his voice. It was not Kanami was so cold (well, maybe a little) but she had no empathy for him. She couldn't fathom posession by demons or angels, but it seems to occur more often than not on the campus.
"There has been a strange and sudden influx of angels, demons and posessions for a while. I don't know why yet but I plan on finding out. Anyways..."
She retained her guru-seated postion but there was a change in her, her back slumped forward and staring at the ground. Kanami had seemed to go off in a trance. In actuality, she was scanning every image she could remember from her surveilances. A blink and a shake of her head and her confident posture returned all in a matter of moments.
"I might have some information about it. But as I said," she wagged her finger. "I don't do it for free."

Alastair was wondering if he should tell Kanami about why there are so many demons and angels but then remembered what Datu said, ' No mortal can be told unless their in SOL.' Al looked back at her," What about gamble. Heads I win. Tails you lose." He put a grin on his face. He was hopping the trick would work.

Kanami's eyes narrowed into a glare. The girl stood up on the bench crossing her arms over her chest.
"What do you take me for? You really think I would negotiate information through a gamble? If you had paid attention, you would've remembered that compensation isn't monetary."
Her hands linked behind her head and she paced the bench in thought. Suddenly she snapped her fingers and pointed at him.
"I got it. I want you to find me a street sign that doesn't end in 5 or 0. You have three days and then I'll give you all the information that I can find."

Alastair looked at her and said," Look, I have more important things to do than look at street signs!" He said with a chuckle and continued." I need to do a lot in the next few days so if you come up with something resonable for me to do than forget it. You can find your own sign."

Alastair grinned." Ok, I'll get some peanut butter for you. If, and only if, this info's important and worth three bucks." Alastair started to laugh and then he turned around." I'll be back in a few so sit tight." Al walked to the cafeteria and asked a lunch lady for a fresh jar of peanut butter. She replied," That would be $2.75." Alastair payed her and came back." Here's your peanut butter. Oh, and I'll give you the peanutbutter AFTER I hear what you have. If it's worthless, then the peanut butter is mine."

There was a look of (sarcastic) surprise that crossed Kanami's face, though it didn't last for very long. Assuming her seated-guru position, she stared at him befoe pointing to him again.
"Holy sh*t, I can't believe you actually did that!" she said between bellows of laughter. "Wow, you're half gullible and decent at the same time too!"
After her laughter dies out she assumed her serious position again, scanning her mind for memories of strange feeds and bits of information she gathered in the past couple of weeks.
"The name of the demon doesn't occur to me at all or exactly where he came from. Demons aren't bound to this world but they are able to cross boundaries without much of a problem. From my substancial data, for a demon possesson to take place, among several factors, the host must be susceptable being possessed. Any human can essentially be possessed but there are times when the will is stronger than the demon. In short: it depends on the person."
Kanami stretched her arms out and laid back on the bench while continuing to speak to Alastair.
"Demons look for control of a person to carry its will in the mortal world. That's most likely why he possessed you; you initially qualified as one who could be possessed and one who is able to sustain a demon in your body. However, he underestimated you. Though you were able to expel him, there are still traces of that demon in you, not enough to be taken over but enough that it can be prone to spontaneous possession. That's why your eyes glow."
She stopped and looked at him with a blank expression on her face: was she bored or was she just in the moment? With Kanami it was hard to tell...at least until she narrowed her eyes at him.

" Yeah, I got that." He said with a look of disgust on his face." It's not called gullibility, it's called honor. And when I can't trust some one's honor, than there's nothing of value in their soul........ If you know so much, why didn't you know that I would trust in the honor of a person as a true Scotsman would. Oh, and here is the damn peanut butter." Al threw it on the ground next to the bench with a look of anger replacing the disgust." Thanks for the info, oracle."

Kanami seemed unfazed by his outburst, she only looked at him with one eye open. It was obvious by her lack of caring that this wouldn't be the first time someone would yell at her for playing a prank on them (yet let them do it to others and it's a riot). Besides to her, honor was nothing more than a social construct that humans brought upon themselves, just to hide their true motives. She was never trusting of what people say, rather she prefered to watch what they did. Once he finished, she sat up again and crossd her arms over her chest.
"Are you done? Honestly, grow a sense of humor. I was testing you to see how dedicated you are. There is nothing worse than wasting precious, hard-earned information after all."
A small smirk crossed her face and she waved her hand at him:
"You should be careful with that Scottish temper of yours. Certain lovely girls, possibly blond and with dark eyes on this campus would find that to be a complete turn off..."

Alastair's red eyes began to spark." I'm only like this when I'm angry at people who think they know it all. When someone, such as yourself, is cocky about life. Well, I just want to ask you something, miss ' I know everything." He then paused and than with a raised tone said," Do you know what it fucking feels like to fell pain three times worse than hell itself !?! HAVE YOU!?!" Small flames burned in his eyes. He was mad. Really mad. He wanted to behead this girl but....... He wasn't in Scotland. Not that it is legal or right in Scotland. But he was furious.” Just to let you know, Hell isn't fun. In my experiences with hell it feels like knives sticking into every centimeter of your little, dinky, corpse. Even your insides feel as if your being burned.” Alastair was still very furious.” Oh, and by the way. If you ever think your so much better than everyone else, I'll whack your head off. My temper, by the way, is normally controlled near young ladies, but for you, I don't respect you enough now to keep my temper cool.” Alastair then grinned still with angry looking eyes. The flames now died down a bit." Oh, and if you meant Amber. I love her to much to show her disrespect and to get testy around her. She is my first friend since Datu and I intend to honor this friendship."
