Well I don't know of anyone doing or planning one but my mate is wanting to be a director and is planning a Silent Hill fan film (look here if your interested) and he is a Stargate fan, when he has finished this and if he is wanting to do something else I could try and persuade him to go for it.

Right, I've sent an email to my mate who is doin the Silent Hill fan film and expect a reply in a day or so, he's usually very helpful and he may offer info, help, and ideas on how to go about this as he has done it a few times before.
I have an idea although I'm not sayin it has to be used, I have been asked to write a storyline for a Stargate Half-Life MOD, I was goin to go straight for a fan fic but it would be harder to put into the Mod so when I am finished -which wont be for a while due to exams- we could use it for a fan film. Also we could go through the several fan fic writers on the board and elsewhere to find a good storyline.

Quite simply a film made by fans of the contents, except it doesnt have the name attached to it officially and not as high a budget. Im not an expert on it but thats what I know of them.

Fanfilm Making
Anyone who is interested in making a Fanfilm, the website for my own production (Star Wars based) has just recently gone online and can be found at TWC Productions. I've tried to dodument my own experiances making a Fanfilm from when the first germ of an idea hit to carrying it through to completion (which is still ongoing, we are still editing and adding FX).
The one thing you do need if you want to be involved in any Fanfilm is commitment, I really can't stress that enough. There has been some talk amongst my cast and crew for this production about possibly doing a Stargate fanfilm, the only other ones that I know of are Stargate Delta and the Call it a Stargate series. It's worth looking at both websites to see the difference in productions. I'll be honest and say I'm not overly keen on the 'Call it a Stargate' series.

I'm very happy to start off my posting here at the Fan Film section, so hello to all!!
I'v been talking with Gary recently about the Stargate fan film, I'm glad he came to me with this because I had an idea a while ago, around the time when the series was in it's like third of fourth season, but now it's been brought to my attention again I've developed a new story set further into the future.
And so it begins....
The Earth has not had any trouble in the past five years, however, evil has been plotting against the humans. The Gua'uld has been creating a new army made up of new troops and ships. They have stolen technology from the Tollan and are mixing it with a few of their own new technology. Although it is not in their nature to create but to steal, the new Gua'uld leader has new plans to wiping out the humans on Earth, he orders Genocide to be placed on the humans and now Earth's biggest task has come to light. They seek the help of the Asgard, because the Gua'uld have broken the Proteced Planets Treaty, after sending in their stealth force taking out half of Russia as a warning of their coming.
The american President is putting together a secret group of soldiers that will find out what is going on, they discover the Gua'uld are under a new leader, unlike any previous leader they have seen before, a ruthless and sinister being that they have never seen before.
Earth readies itself for one of the biggest battles in history.

Right people, we've been talking and developed it a bit further:
Ba'al still controls the strongest arrangement of a lot of the Systems Lords fleets put together with little competition. Just as everything is looking good for him and his ideas of conquest he comes up against a new alien being in a relatively new part of space as he widens his area, this new alien (yet to be named) is a lot more powerful than Ba'al and as Ba'al doesn't have his full fleet with him - only a moderately sized (though still strong) exploring fleet - the new alien easily overpowers Ba'al and destroys half the exploring fleet. The Jaffa on the fleet see this new alien as an even more powerful god than Ba'al and quickly contact him offering their services. The new alien has a look at the computers and sees the potential for his own conquest and decides to take over quickly taking the entirety of the combined System Lords fleet previously controlled by Ba'al and starts his own journey. The new alien takes over a wide area of space in a short time with his new (more advanced) technology combined with that of the Goa'uld, and finds the various stories about the Tau'ri on the Goa'uld computers, he uses the Tollan phase-shifting technology adapted with new armour to send a small squad of troops through the Stargate to Earth and through the iris, although this squad is quickly take out the gate is decided to be buried until something can be done leaving Earth with only theirs ships (several X-302s and 303s) to contact the Tok'ra and the Asgard in order to do something about this new enemy.

Personally I dont have the know how for CGI but my mate who is developing this with me has a bit and people from his college are brill at it, one done star wars ships in a fire fight.
