Thank you for taking the time to look merlin up it means a great deal to me that people actually feel for him, he was a very important person in the family and we are still greaving his death. The fact that he was killed by people who didn't care about what he had going for him and the fact that he had a family that cared for him breakes our hearts and i know people who knew him feel the same way. i hope when you met him you met the person who made everyone happy and i hope you keep those memories in your heart for ever.

when you say he was hanging with the wrong crowed makes me furious. He was my cousin and wasn't hanging out he was shot aand killed when he was with one other person in a car so for you to say wat you said was out of hand people who don't know the real story shouldn't talk and need more info before the do. When you are famous like that you don't get to hang out theres too much work so please be creful what you say his mother might be on here.................unv

I wanna thank you for the thought and the fact that you are all thinking about him and his family i am his cousin and his death came to me as it did to the rest of the world i was just able to say goodbye to him and see him one last time before we put him in the ground but i'm sure i spek for the whole fam when i say this thank you all for the love and support that we have recieved and for making it possible for him to make it soo far in such a short time thank you for loving him he was a great person.
The fact that people keep saying he was with the wrong crowed is a little upsetting he was killed by people he didn't know........RIP I will alway love you your memory will live forever.............CB

i know people are gonna have there own things to say about what happened to my cousin merlin and what you said is way off get your fcts straight before you put your 2 sence where they don't belong he was killed by 5 people and they were trying to rob him the plan went wrong they got scared and they killed him not no boyfriend s@#$ he was engaged to be married and he had a party thrown for him at a restaurant not a club and the girls are 14 and 15 years old how the hell are they gonna get into a club and why would he talk to a little girl when he has fame and fortune all around him he wouldn't settle for less...........................CB

My heart goes out to your family. I really liked Merlin Santana and I felt that he was a good actor. It disturbs me that there is so much confusion and lack of information surrounding his death. He had a life that was seperate from his public persona and I will respect that but I was wondering since you say that you are his cousin you should be able to answer some basic questions. What were the tattos on his back and arm? I know the one said "Warrior" but what was the picture of? Also, you said that he was engaged to be married. Was he engaged to anyone that his audience and fans would know? Was he going with the young lady on "Passions"? Lastly, Why have they concealed the identity of the person who was in the car with him? I heard that it was another child actor. I am not going to say his name, but is this right? I was just curious about these things. Hopefully, you can clear these up for me. I am missing Merlin as a member of his audience. He was so beautiful and talented.

Sadden by M. Santan's death
To my surprise, I learned about Santana's death searching the Web. I cried. A day later I heard about it on the news. I cried again. I miss him soo much!!! We must pray each day. This day in time, there are a lot of senseless killings. I often wonder is there any love in the world anymore.

Deeply Saddened
I am truly disgusted by what is going on in the world. How someone can just extinguish such a beautiful life without remorse is sickening.
Merlin to me seemed like such a down to earth, genuine person on and off the cameras. Hearing about his death only 2 months ago, I was extremely saddened and still am.
I doubt the thoughtless killings that go on in the world will stop but I pray for peace everyday. Hopefully people will come to their senses and realize that killing somebody over something as stupid as an argument, or anything else for that matter, will not solve anything.
I pray that the people who did this will be brought to justice and I hope that they comprehend they will be judged by God.
My deepest condolences go out to Merlin's family. May he rest in peace.

Its very sad to see on the television and hear that some one took it upon themselves to kill such a sexy talented young actor named Merlin Santana. He wasn't just only a very handsome young man whom every one knew as ROMEO from the hit comedy show "The Steve Harvey Show", he was a man with alot of amitions and the will to life. Merlin Santana did not deserve to have his life cut short on Nov. 9, 2002. I was surprised to read about the cause to the young actors murder,was by a 15 yearold girl after a party, whos only agenda
was only to rob the familiar actor and his friend. The 15 yearold told Merlin Santana and his friend that she wanted to go back to her house for more drinks. She then arrives with two other men who were armed. Merlin observed that something wasn't right,so he departed from the unidentified car to another one, where he waited patiently for his friend to arrive from another man's house in South L.A. Merlin then was shot death
in the back of the head.The name of the alleged suspects are Damien Andre Gates 20, Brian,23, Monique Kings,15 also known as LaDawn Taylor. Damien Adre Gates was the hater who pulled the trigger that took the young actors life, Brian tried to kill the friend of Merlin, but the the friend escaped and flagged down police. I believe none of this wouldn't have happened at all if only Merlin Santana would've been at home,then out partying 12 in the moring. If I was famous with a familiar face I wouldn't that late instead I would be either at home or church giving him thanks and praises for all that he's done for me, because after all the lord did die for us, only to have a better life, and through Jesus we are all saved. Let Merlins passing be not only tragedy, but a lesson to all of us. Thank you Merlin for being an important role in are lifes, and also for making us laugh once again. R.I.P Merlin Santana until we meet again.

I miss you Merlin......
I am so f****$$ mad at the person who killed him .I hope who ever killed him rots in hell! Merlin ..i love u and i always will u may not be here on earth but yet....I still feel like your here in spirit...and u r. I used to not believe when people said "You don't know what u had until u loose it". And now i do believe it. Cause that is so true.I have felt so much pain after your death that i never thought i could experience. R.I.P Merlin!

Merlin was a good friend of mines we grew up together On the upper west side of NY. It is a tragedy that he is gone. He has great parents and brothers that he left to mourn. The person who commited this murder againist Merlin Will pay. But the old sang goes the good die young and i will truly miss him. So until we meet again.

Anyway one time his fart stink so much that his daughter cried and that's is one of my funny memories about my brother.
