Food
[ooc: Those who travelled fro Werthyn got 2 days trail food with only 1 meal taken from it. Assuming there are leftovers from the game, how much food can the group gather GM? Also looking at the map, Old Kerlew is over 30 miles away. Can we make 30 miles in 2 days overland? One last thing, we can go via Werthyn which is more or less on the way. There we may be able to better equip ourselves and those who wish to stay there can.]

Re: Reunion at Grugni's House
"Believe me my freinds I am not so young and foolish as to go and attack giants!" he strokes his long beard and then frowns at its shortness (about a foot). "But as Ruig says if there is some new threat, then by Urox we need to do what we can! Even if it is only finding out what it is. All we really know is that we heard some sounds."
After eating a bit he adds, " and if we are going to the mountains I'll be needing a new bedroll and maybe a wool blanket. Maybe some oilskins against the wet. I wonder what those ungrateful fishermen might have..." he grins an avaricious grin that no one in the party has ever seen before. "What say you quiet one?" he pokes Ruglan. "Perhaps we should go and demand restitution for the slights to Madragar's honor?" He says this quite loudly with an air of quick and reckless violence

Re: Reunion at Grugni's House
"If need be Atan and I can forage on the way to the mountains. This will slow us down considerably, but we would almost certainly be able to extend our rations out considerably."
"I think finding the source of such a noise is a good idea. I still feel the hand of chaos tainting this area and am loath to leave without some idea of what is going on."

Re: Food
[You'll have to keep track of your own rations, but the game and what little that Grugni can provide will keep everyone fed through mid-day tomorrow. Without a smokehouse or plenty of salt (Grugni has neither) the meat won't keep any longer than that. Yimris and Atan can certainly supplement your food supply by foraging, and there is no shortage of little fresh water streams in this part of the world.
In case anyone's curious, you can check page 143 of the PHB for travel times. The trip to the mountains (scrub/rough) with the dwarves (20ft) will take a little over two days, give or take. Any deeper into the wild lands and the terrain gets much worse.]

Re: Reunion at Grugni's House
Grugni's eyes well up in tears as she accepts the collection of coins. "My thanks, to all of you. If there's anything I can provide..."
Ruig turns to Meneloss. "You have a good idea... passing through Werthyn. We could both warn the settlement and purchase supplies. Draxim, Ruglan and I are certainly not equipped for a prolonged trek through the wilderness."

So lets get a goin!
Meneloss nods to Ruig. "Yes we all goes to Werthyn. From there, Vala and Madragar goes to Tunlura then Thasvala. Sangraal can stay in Werthyn, while we goes to see the Giant."
He stands up grabs his things and looks around at the group expectantly.

Re: Reunion at Grugni's House
Sangraal speaks and it is obvious he is quoting a piece of scripture though to what passage he makes no reference.
"Driven on some fell along the traveled path and was trodden underfoot ..."
Getting up from the table Sangraal looks to his campanions.
"Yelm willing, I will go to Werthyn with you all. In Werthyn let us hear the tiding of recent events and make our decision then."
With that said he begins to arrange his gear.

I got your goin right here!
[Whats our marching order? I propose Yimris and I 50-75 yards ahead. The rest can gaggle. This will give the woodsmen first crack at any game they come across without the distubance of the non-stealthy types. We both have good spot and listen abilities.]

Re: Reunion at Grugni's House
[Meneloss will try his best to hang with the Elves observing first hand their stealthy woodcraft. (trying to learn for next level) He can move silently (Move silently: 2 ranks, +5) and has a decent spot and listen as well (+4 / +4)]

Re: Reunion at Grugni's House
[The fastest route to Werthyn is the road. If you still want Yimris and Atan to scout ahead that's fine but you won't be running across a lot of game. Then again, you don't have to take the road.]

The fastest way to Werthyn
Meneloss looks at his hunter buddies with a bit of puzzlement. "We have food to gets to Werthyn. When we are there, Hegi can helps up with more trail food. We should get to Old Kerlew faster if there is no hunt. On our way back, then maybe hunting. If some game is finded on the way then good, but to hunt takes time. Our Dwarf friends are not so slow"
