Ruglan leaps over the bleeding corpse of his adversary and runs after the fleeing broo. The creature is very fast, however, and is already almost fifty feet ahead of the young human.

Sangraal again charges , leaping upon the stunned broo.
[10 foot charge forward and attack the broo he now has frontage with, +5 to hit, +4 damage, 19-20 crit feat Foe Hunter
Bless spell +1 to hit and +1 fear saves for allies 8 rnds left

Sangraal charges to the attack like a crazed low level human cleric of a sun god. Sadly, the broo is not as stunned as he looks and takes a wild stab in the direction of the earth stomping priest. The words "come father, let us embrace at last" echo in Sangraal's mind as he impales himself on the creature's spear. It drives through the soft tissue of his abdomen and comes out the other side. Sangraal's torso passes beyond the jagged blade and a full three feet up the shaft before he smashes the blind broo in the temple with his morningstar. Both broo and cleric fall to the earth in bloody heaps. Sangraal, at least, is conscious... but that spear in his gut sure does hurt.
Down the road, the fleeing broo pulls away from the much slower Ruglan.

Meneloss takes the opportunity to give the unconscious broo (in la-la land due to the color spray) a Moagaran Necktie.
Yimris groans, so isn't dead quite yet.
[Currently Atan and Sangraal are critically wounded, Yimris is unconscious and dying. All the broo are unconscious or dead except the one hoofing it down the road.]

Atan runs to Sangraal and sticks his sword point into the earth, his right arm hanging uselessly at his side.
"Sangraal, I'm going to put my boot on your shoulder and pull the spear the rest of the way through, OK? Yimris needs Yelm's blessing."
[Yimris wounded the one getaway in the thigh right? Did that slow it down at all?]

Sangraal mumbles something like "blerg" as Atan pulls the spear out. Blood begins to pool on the ground below the prone priest.

Heedless of his own wounds Sangraal stumbles haltingly through the observances, stopping to kneel, he lays his hands gently on Yimris's wound. The world grows clear and bright as the divinity of Yelms benevolence fills the surronding area, drawing a strangled gasp from Sangraal himself as his wound to begins to close in addition to Yimris's.
Yimris cure lt. wounds 1d8+1, Sangraal cure lt. wounds 1d8+1
[Can Atan use his healing skill?]

Yimris looks up at Sangraal, pale and delirious. With both hands he is holding back the tide of intestines that are trying to squeeze through the gap in his armor. The ranger is soaked in blood.
Sangraal wearily places his hands over Yimris' and a wave of brilliant light passes between them. Yelm is pleased by the courage and persistance of Yimris in tracking down the broo and fills the elf with his healing energy. The massive gash in his side vanishes completely, leaving only the painful but modest wound on his shoulder.
The priest then intones the same prayer over his own wounds. It is not as great a gift as Yimris received, but it is enough to close the wound. Sangraal feels like he's been repeatedly kicked in the gut but generally feels much better.
[The Heal skill is good for stabilizing wounded people and aiding in long-term healing.]

Rising from the ground Sangraal walks wearly over to the Elven Ranger Atan. "today has been a glorious day. I offer to you psalms of purification if you wish? For you have truly honored me with your courage and friendship."
Turning to the group " As you all have. I pledge my strength and my faith unto you all"

Atan flexs his now working, but stiff arm. Whincing he kneels next to Yimris and looks over the elf's wounds. Speaking aloud, "Thank you Sangraal......and praise be to Yelm. Remember when I said that the Broo were probably already gone? Well, I was wrong." Turning to Menelos he shifts into elven.

Meneloss replies to Atan in Elven. He then calls out to Ruglan "Ruglan!?" Then he addresses Sangraal and Atan in common: "To Atan I have said he is my brother, to you I say same. We have choose to make. The lonely Broo who is running we may chase and catch. I have no power left and Atan, Yimris and you are hurted. Ruglan is brave but he cannot follows in the dark. I think we lets the Broo go. We haves work here now (he points to the house and the dead Broo)[ - incidentantally, any unconscious Broo get the same Moagaran necktie] Yelm is praised for his light is shining on us today."
Meneloss then walks to the farmhouse and waits for moment outside to listen if all is quiet, he casts light on his sword and enters, steeling himself for the nightmare within.

Ruglan slows down and stops chasing after the broo. Breathing heavily, he leans over, hands on thighs, and catches his breath. He slowly returns back to the group, looking over his shoulder occasionally to see if the broo decides return.

The House
As Ruglan returns to the group, Meneloss peers into the long shadows inside the house cast by the light of his sword. The house is a single room with a packed earth floor. Several crude sleeping mats lay piled up in one corner along with a wooden chest, now smashed. A small firepit can be seen in the opposite corner with a small hole in the roof above for ventilation. There is even a hitching post and a small pen for keeping animals inside the house.
Everything, floor, sleeping mats, broken chest, post and pen, is covered with gore. The shredded corpses of three humans, two adults and once child, lay in heaps in the center of the room. Their abdomens have been torn open and most of their internal organs eaten out by the broo. Their eyes are gone and much of the tissue on their upper legs and arms. The packed earth floor is slick with blood.
