Sangraal surveys the surronding countryside.
"If the leader has split from the group and we are just noticing now, then backtracking to find him will just mean we lose more time. Meneloss also has a point the five broo are more of a threat to local farmers and villages. I vote for chasing down the herd"

Re: Broodiddlydoo
"I agree." "We should continue to track the main group and dispatch them before they can harm any farmers." "Could the bird be used to locate the Elk head leader?"

Re: Broodiddlydoo
"Actualy the bird if anything gives away the fact that we are tracking the broo in this open hilly country. Let us send back a message telling the others of the situation and that when we will return. A black crow against open sky can be see for miles on a clear day "

Re: Broodiddlydoo
"I think you misunderstand the threat. The broo went to that tower for a reason. They didn't deviate from their course to get there, and made excellent time. Whatever they retrieved was almost certainly steeped in chaos, or evil."

"I am almost certain the elk head has this item or knowledge, and he will almost certainly use it to create more havok than 5 Broo ever would on their own."

"I'm going to go back and see if I can find him. I honestly don't hold much hope, but I feel it is too important not to try."

"What does everybody think? Go after the leader? or chase the group? Going back to find the leaders tracks will cost us time and we should send a message back with the crow."

"Unless there is some better way of tracking the Elk head leader, I think there is no chance of catching it now."

Re: Broodiddlydoo
Atan unlimbers his waterskin and takes a solid draw. Wiping his mouth with the sleeve of his tunic he walks towards Yimris. "Yimris, I agree that elk-head is probably up to some greater evil but to back track gives us no guarantee of finding him. We would have to back track an hour and a half putting us at least three hours plus the original delay of four hours. That's seven hours this guy is unlocated. Our chances of catching him seem slim. In addition elk-head was the leader and kept the others in-line. That is why they avoided settlements before. Now the leader is gone and these remaining Broo are headed towards civlized lands. They will be less disciplined now and may be bedding down for the night. My heart pulls towards finding elk-head but I believe that we should eliminate this threat first."

Re: Broodiddlydoo
Meneloss replies to Atan in Elvish: "You already know my mind. The group, if unchecked, could slaughter dozens before a militia could be raised. Even if these Humans could get their forces to marshal, the Broo would escape. This Elk-head leader though he be a more nefarious foe is also more cautious it would seem. He will wait, his minions will not. We should move." He says to Ruglan and Sangraal : "I sorry for to speaking much Elvish, but to say my mind is only way. I want to get herd. I will talk to Madragar's bird, and tell it what we do. So we go?"
Meneloss walks over to Kythe and tells the bird to fly back to madragar and inform him the hunters have not found their quarry and will hunt for another day.

[We've heard from everyone, and I believe I know how everyone wants to proceed, but I'd like to hear again from Yimris to make sure he intends to go it alone.]

Re: Broodiddlydoo
[Don't think I want to, but I just can't see Yimris NOT going after the greater evil. He would view the remaining Broo as nothing more than an intentional distraction to the greater threat.]

Yimris looks around, and realizing that he will have to go it alone, gives a little smile and a wave before heading back along the trail.
