Atan barely moves as his torso twists to follow the charging broo, then a quick release and the arrow streaks out of the wheatfield. The unsuspecting broo graciously accepts the arrow as it buries itself into the beast's ribcage just below the right armpit.
A split second later Tagra lets fly his arrow which strikes the nearby axe wielding broo in the thigh. Both creatures snort and growl in anger, reaching for the deadly missiles protruding from their bodies.

Bounding across the room in three great strides, Kezib makes a quick jab at the stunned broo with his staff. He makes contact, but the leathery hide and natural toughness of the beast protect it from any real harm.

Yimris will take a 5 ft. step 1N 1W (diagonal) and put two arrows into Broo #6. He's within 30 ft and it is chaotic, so gets +1 for that, -2 for firing two arrows for +3 to hit with each arrow doing 1d6+2 damage (point blank and rapid shot with favored enemy bonus).

The deadly barrage continues as Yimris, moving forward and firing quickly, puts another arrow into the axe-wielding brute. It's a quick shot but still finds its mark, striking the thing in its left arm. Blood splashes against the farmhouse and the lead broo begins to stagger.
Tagra nocks another arrow, puts the fletching to his ear, and releases. The missile swishes through the wheat stalks which sway from side to side in its wake. The arrow disappears into the spear broo's open mouth and bursts through the back of its head. The stunned creature actually survives for a few seconds before its primitive brain realizes that it is very dead.
Yimris swiftly draws a second arrow and fires again. Another sloppy shot puts a cloth-yard shaft into the miserable creature's shin. The beast collapses to the ground, however, and writhes in agony from its many wounds.

Atan, Yimris and Tagra don't really know there is a second wave. They are too deep into the wheatfield to be seen. Only Madragar and Meneloss know exactly where they are, and haven't shouted out any information so far. - GM

Meneloss can see both 2 and 3. The spear wielding broo below him seems to be suffering from a spell laid on him by Madragar... probably Daze.

Knowing the fight will be long, the Elven Mage decides to conserve his spells. A simple yet effective weapon is stashed in the rafters next to him. Meneloss opens his makeshift window enough to hurl a ballast stone with both hands upon the spear wielding broo below (target #3s +3 to hit Dex bonus/+2 dam Str bonus)
He also calls out to the Merek in Elvish "More coming from the south! Stay where you are!"

Meneloss hefts one of the twenty pound ballast stones. It isn't an easy shot down through the narrow opening but with an evil grin the elf raises the rock above his head. Unfortunately this simple act throws Meneloss completely off balance and his eyes go wide with surprise. Releasing the stone, the wizard's arms flail about for anything that might save him from an ignominious drop onto the hardwood floor below. His quick reflexes save him, however, and Meneloss manages to hoist himself back up on the rafter.

Draxim moves right one and down 3 and then fires his poisoned bolt at point blank range at 2a: +5 to hit, 1d8+1 damage and then add the poison.

Atan draws his bow and lets fly with a poisoned arrow at the dazed Broo (3s) (+5 to hit/ +1 damage). As he reaches to grab his next arrow he hisses back sarcastically, "Watch the gopher holes."

Draxim follows Kezib over to the southern barricade. Lining up a shot on the axe wielding beast trying to push its way through the smashed doorway, the dwarf takes careful aim and fires. The bolt is true, striking the broo in the center of the right breast. The thing howls in pain and with its free hand snaps the shaft of the projectile off near the wound.

Atan, still crouched low behind the punji pits, arcs an arrow at the dazed spear wielding broo near the front door. The thing is staggering about like an old drunk when the arrow takes it in the small of its back. The broo's blind eyes stare about wildly and its snout lets out a spray of mucous when the missile hits.
Above, Madragar tries to fire down on the same creature with his crossbow but the shot is wide.
Stand by for the broo....

The broo that Draxim shot pushes its way through the shattered entrance and, with its crude, rusted battleaxe in two hands, brings its weapon down on Draxim's shoulder. The dwarf cries out in pain and strikes the wooden floor with a loud thud, his crossbow clattering against the fireplace stones. Draxim is alive and conscious, but barely so.
His opponent glares down in triumph on the bleeding dwarf, but acquires a glassy stare in its blackrimmed pig eyes. Dropping its guard, the thing looks suddenly ready to flee. Beside it, the blind creature standing before Ruig and Ruglan continues to flail about ineffectually.
Some of the broo seem to have reached the back door and with two mighty blows the fragile portal crashes inward. A big axe wielding broo steps boldly into the room, daring anyone to face it. Its hideous boar head snorts defiantly at yet another door well smashed.
Outside, the second broo pack moves in. Six of the seven are hyena headed creatures, some looking suspiciously like the crew that attacked Grugni's house three days before.
It is at this time that the Merek Lek get their first good look at Elkhead. The creature is huge - clearly larger and stronger than the other broo. Its powerful sinews grasp a long, wicked spear in its left hand and a heavy throwing axe in its right. Its wide, dark eyes dart back and forth with cunning and malignant intelligence. The crown of its head sprouts two massive sets of antlers, gnarled and black. Elkhead is, unlike the other broo, armored. Thick slabs of waxed leather cover its torso and thighs as well as leather straps on its forearms. Laying on its powerful chest is a necklace of bones with a heavy bronze medallion.
All seven of the advancing broo are wary of hidden attackers. Their heads swing left to right as they sniff the air and scan the surrounding wheat stalks. For the moment, at least, they have not spotted Yimris, Atan and Tagra.
