Re: Is this a party?
Draxim moves up 1 and left 1 (behind Kezib as a 5 foot step) takes all six berries and pops them in his mouth. [Is that a whole round?]
[The 5 foot step keeps the broo from getting an AoO, so yes. You may want to take more than one berry though... like all of them. Their healing properties are quite limited in small quantities. - GM Thanks, see above - Kenner]

Re: Is this a party?
With a mighty thrust, Ruglan drives the point of his longsword into the blind broo's abdomen and out the other side (20!). The creature lets out an inhuman scream and doubles over. Ruglan puts a boot against the mortally wounded broo and kicks it back through the doorway, freeing his sword.

"Yelm bestow upon this weapon your rightessness, your fury! Smite the beast and cleanse the soul!"
Sangraal kisses his morningstar on the haft and brings its to guard as he steps towards the new broo that have broken through the Northern door.

Re: Brooslayer!
Tagra returns to his crouching position and eyes the nearest hyena headed broo. Timing the swing of its head the woodsman pauses, holds his breath, and fires. The arrow rises up from the wheat at just the right moment, striking the broo in the center of its right eye socket (20!). The beast reels for a moment, its mouth open in a soundless scream.
Tagra draws another arrow and launches it at the broo. The missile takes it in the chest and the creature settles down into the wheat, never to rise.

Re: Brooslayer!
Draxim backpeddals away from his attacker, draws the healing berries from his pouch and downs the lot. The intense bleeding from the ragged wound in his shoulder immediately ceases. Draxim's left arm is just this side of useless, but he feels good enough to stand... should he get a chance to before the broo cuts him in half.

Re: Brooslayer!
Ruig makes another strike at the broo, but again cannot connect.
"Gah!" the dwarf bellows. "This barricade is fouling my weapon." The short legged warrior then bounds over the tangle of chairs with surprising finesse to stand like an armored boulder in the doorway.

Kezib will try to sweep the legs out from under the broo, as to put the broo prone.

Re: Brooslayer!
Kezib quickly tucks his body low to the ground and spins, his leg lashing out at the wounded broo's ankle. The attack is for naught, however, and the beast stands firm.

Play it agin!
Meneloss had remembered the reaction of the broo to his simple flare spell back at the Theva's Farm. He came prepared today. As the North door burst into flinders, Meneloss turns towards the axe weilding broo (4a) which just leaped into the house. The familiar words come easily :"Aeglarcalen Arae!" and he conjures forth a bright flare at the Broo in the Northern doorway (4a).

Re: Play it agin!
Yimris steps back to where he was (5 ft step 1 S 1 E) and fires two regular arrows at Broo #12 (+2 to hit d6 damage).
He mumbles to Atan, "I should have brought a bigger bow."
[ OOC - by my math I should have 3 poisoned arrows and 10 regular arrows left, just so you know I'm keeping track ]

Shortbow Chaffshaft
Atan low crawls next to Tagra (1 south) and shoots at the axe weilding Broo (8a) with his last poison arrow (+6 to hit for Bless and point blank/+2 Damage for point blank and hated foe).

Re: Play it agin!
A flash of light blazes into existance before the advancing broo, but the beast turns its head at the last moment and is saved. Squinting through the dying light of the spell, the broo stabs a finger up at Meneloss in the rafters.
"Agrud dal hrum!" it growls. Meneloss thinks it might mean "you're next!"
Outside, Yimris maneuvers back behind the punji pits and fires at one of the hyena headed creatures. The wheat is dense and partially obscures his aim. Both arrows disappear into the amber thicket without any reaction from the broo.

Re: Play it agin!
Atan also takes a shot at the advancing pack, but his aim is fouled by tricks played on his vision by the swaying wheat stalks. His arrow, however, seems to have attracted the attention of the broo. Its head snaps toward the north and the slavering beast utters that sinister, but all too familiar, hyena laugh.
Above in the rafters, Madragar draws a pinch of sand out of a tiny pouch and watches intently the situation outside.

Re: Play it agin!
A badly wounded broo (#1a), clutching the ghastly wound in its stomach, rolls out of the house and runs headlong into the wheatfield.
Inside, two broo advance on Sangraal who is all aglow with the power of his god. The axe wielding creature advances boldly, taking a massive horizontal swing on the priest. Sangraal was expecting this and deflects the blow easily with a subtle parry. Behind this broo is another, and its long spear darts around its comrade and catches Sangraal in the thigh. It is a deep, ragged wound - and blood begins to flow freely.
Draxim's recent opponent (#2a), a strange look of desperate confusion on its face, begins to whine and grovel like a pathetic beggar. Then, inexplicably, it tries to dart through the throng of armed men and dwarves like a frightened animal. Kezib, Ruig, Draxim and even Ruglan take a swipe at the thing as it passes by, opening up several large gashes. Finally overcome, the creature falls to the ground stone dead, though apparently not from its obvious wounds. A blackish green substance pours from its wretched maw as it lays quivering on the floor.
Outside the front door of the house, a spear wielding creature, having regained its senses, jabs its weapon at Ruig. The dwarf is struck in the chest by the weapon, but he deftly turns his torso with the blow and avoids being impaled. A fraction of a second later the scream of a charging hyena-head precedes its attack. Foaming at the mouth, the thing's wicked axe strikes down on the dwarf's right arm, cutting it open from bicep to wrist. Ruig grunts loudly, then spits out a vicious dwarven curse.
In the wheatfield, Elkhead, warned by the cackling laughter of the pack, points his thick poled spear at the Merek Lek and roars "Garhruum Kal!" The pack charges.
It is just blind luck that prevents Atan's target (#8a) from stumbling into the punji pit. It simply dodged right instead of left before making its attack. Nearly barrelling into Atan, the broo jabs the spiked end of its battleaxe at the elf, giving him a modest wound in his side.
A split second before Elkhead and two other broo get within range to attack a burst of dust and sand appears out of thin air. The woodsmen seem unaffected, but the broo shake their heads and snort as they breathe in the stuff. Unfortunately only one of the creatures succumbs to Madragar's spell (#11g) and that one sinks slowly to the ground in a deep slumber.
Elkhead advances, timing his attack to follow that of his companion. A crazed, spear wielding broo hurls itself at Tagra. The archer throws aside his bow and tries to ready his spear in defense, but it is too late. Tagra is seriously wounded by the attack and blood spirts from a wide gash in his right arm. Mercilessly, Elkhead raises its throwing axe behind its head and lets fly. The missile strikes Tagra square in his lightly armored chest, knocking the ranger clear off his feet. The sprawling archer dashes a pint of blood onto the damp earth before sinking to the ground, motionless.
Elkhead throws his arms wide and roars in triumph. "Agrhru va Merek Lek!"
[Map update shortly.]
