Re: Battle stories
Draxim's eyes do indeed glaze over at the description of elementary magic, and Meneloss quickly gathers that Draxim has no aptitude for the more scholarly subjects.

"Well whatever it was it sure shocked those 2 beast heads. Fainted dead away like a swooning female!" he laughs at his own joke oblivious to the fact that his tactless comment could be easily overheard by several women including Hegi.

"I have to thank you for picking up my slack. I should have managed better with that shot up the hill. Good thing you were there to blind that hyena head."

Re: Battle stories
Draxim wanders over to where Sangraal is making the water red.

"Umm look, I uh...you were right. I really have no gift for strategy. You've got a nice swing with that morning star. Crushed his head like a melon. " he grins in that bloodthirsty way.

Re: Back In The Village
Kezib, remains in his secluded corner, keeping a watchful eye on the people inside, bustling to and fro. When he sees the group get together and talk about the days exploits, he smiles a slight smile.

Slowly Kezib shuts his eyes, and starts to meditate.

Re: Back In The Village
Draxim pulls out his jewellry kit and shows Meneloss the penandular broach he has been working on. "I'm not sure I like the pin. Making it out of copper just doesn't look right."

Mistaking Kezib's meditative state for self-recrimination (which the dwarf himself is quite prone too) he says to Meneloss, " Is he alright?", then he gets a playful grin," perhaps we should cheer him up?"

Re: Back In The Village
Meneloss takes the brooch in his hands and begins to thoroughly inspect it. He notes the skill and talent which went into the trinket. Nodding he says "Silver is far finer than copper, but a remarkable job nonetheless." He hands the brooch back. With a gesture towards the toolkit, Meneloss asks: "May I?" He is covetous of the many tools and implements. "I have not worked on Smytt for a long time. It would be great to start a fire and do some work together eh? There is much you could show me I'll wager."

Looking over at Kezib, he agrees that the monk could use some cheering up. "Yes lets bring him ale Draxim!"

Re: Back In The Village
When Meneloss and Draxim come over they notice Kezib breathing deeply as if he was a sleep. Sitting with his legs crossed, back straight as an arrow, they wave their hands in front of his eyes to which there comes no response.
It seems as though Kezib is a sleep. No matter of prodding seems to wake Kezib and they decide to leave him alone for a bit.

[Um, nice try. Did they really decide to "leave him alone for a bit?"]

Re: Back In The Village
Draxim is content to leave the beer precariously balanced on the monk's instep. He has no such expecatations of Meneloss, however.

The riiing my precious..
"Ruig gave me the main part when he hired me. See here is where I separated it and pounded the ends flat, but that destroyed the etched design there, so I continued onto the terminals instead and made little boars. I am thinking of getting a fire together and snipping one of these silvers for a pin." he lowers his voice to whisper, " then I will give it back to Ruig." he winks.

Re: Back In The Village
"Come now Draxim!" admonishes Meneloss. "I expected more from you." He looks his companion in th eye and picks up the mug off of the monk's foot. He then places the beer on top of the monk's head. "Now that is more like it!"
He tries to keep from snikkering to loud and goes back to where the two were sitting before.

When Draxim mentions getting a fire going, Meneloss instantly brightens. "Yes a fire! lets do that. There must be a forge somewhere in this... " Meneloss catches himself before he says something offensive "...er vilage."

Re: The riiing my precious..
Meneloss recalls that there is a small building near the longhouse that serves as a smithy for these people. He hasn't seen it in operation though, and it would certainly take hours to get a good blaze going in the forge. But, it's something to do...

The beeeer, my precious..
Atan fills his mug for a second round and looks about. Apparently not finding who he was looking for he walks out of the Longhouse.

Poor Kezib
After Meneloss and Draxim leave to go to the smithy. Sangraal wanders over to Kezib and removes the full beer perched on Kezibs head. Then replaces it with his own empty mug.
"We be dueling in the morning I'm sure." He smiles.

Re: Poor Kezib
After a long period of non movement from Kezib, he quickly stands. Using his agility he stands keeping the empty mug on his head. Once he finds Sangraal he says "Why wait till the morning?" as he tilts his head down and lets the mug fall into his waiting hand.

Re: Poor Kezib
Sangraal looks at the mug in Kezibs hand then leans in close so he can barely be heard.
"Because Tagra is being prepared for burial and we are in the middle of the main lodge. Don't worry, if your sneaky enough to get a pinto bean stuffed mouse you can feed it to Meneloss's viper. Let him stew in snake farts alllll night."
Sangraal laughs
"People are just blowing off steam, these last days have been stress filled."

Re: Poor Kezib
"Yeah, your right. Tagra." Kezib seems to trail off a bit.
"So sad. Unfortunate, but it is Yelms way, not ours"

Kezib snickers at Sangraals comment and says "Im grabing a drink, you want one?"
