The dwarf presses back against the wall, clearly fearing that his time has come. Despite Kezib's non-threatening manner, it is hard to ignore the mortal combat going on just a short distance away. The dwarf repeats "I am unarmed."

Get up you sorry sacks of shit!
Meneloss looks over his shoulder and sees the despondant Madragar, the pacifist Kezib, and the bumbling Atan. He shouts in a commanding tone (as best an 8 cha character can) "Madragar get here now, we need you! Kezib leave that piece of dung alone and bring the ladder! Atan pick up your arrows we have to stop him!"
He looks about in frustration wishing to blazes he had a bow. Not having one, he runs and jumps to grab the stair and pull himself up.
[Jump +1, Climb +1]

Confusion

Leap of Faith
The sounds of cursing catch in Sangraals ear. Dwarvsh cursing, nothing sounds in the world quite like it. As Draxim calls out Sangraal is already dashing full sprint down the hallway. Seeing the first giant step looming out of the darkness at the last possible second; Sangraal leaps for it.......
[Sangraal is performing a run ( fullround action 4xmovement, no dex bonus to AC) ending in a running high jump ( 0 ranks +2 str - 1 studded leather = +1) to try and clear the first set of stairs. He has enough movement to reach the top of the second flight of stairs but it all depends if he makes the first leap.
Spells up:
Bless 6 rounds +1 to hit, +1 fear saves
Light: 10 minutes illumination as a torch
]

Madragar takes a double move, moving next to Meneloss.
In crisp, aristocratic Lunar, he cries "Legionnaire, halt! We are not your enemies! Don't run and we will not shoot!"
In Moagaran, he says "Only shoot if he runs!"
To Meneloss, he whispers "I've got animate rope, but I'll need to get within ten feet. Wish I'd not used that spider climb."

Sangraal runs hell for leather at the eight foot stone riser. Blasting past the reloading Draxim he sees that Meneloss has made an attempt to scale the first step and has failed. The elf is on his butt and gazing up at the retreating legionnaire with a frustrated look.
And it is indeed an Imperial legionnaire that is scaling the giant stone steps. His body is wrapped in finely crafted chainmail. At his waist is a wide bladed thrusting sword and his left hand grips a large oval shield. Though his face is concealed behind a swathe of chainmail that hangs from his steel helmet, the dark brown skin of his hands is a dead give-away. He is a soldier of the Empire.
The legionnaire is on the third step, and using a ladder to scale the obstacle.
Sangraal rushes forward, times the last few steps and launches himself into the air. The priest hits the riser at about chest level, his lungs expelling their contents with a loud "Ooooooff!"
Unlike Meneloss he does not fall. The priest manages to pull himself partway onto the riser, but no further. For the moment he simply hangs there, his feet dangling.
Madragar rushes to the corner of the door where Draxim is busy reloading his crossbow. It seems the instruction to not shoot is a bit tardy. Draxim has already shot the retreating legionnaire, and the legionnaire is already running.

Use the force...
Meneloss stands up he holds out his hand and says, "I need a bow or loaded crossbow." He looks to both Madragar and Draxim as he says these words. He then begins a brief chant and his eyes seem to roll back in his head. Meneloss delves into a possible future to see his opponents next move...

At Draxims shout of a legionaire, Atan stops what he is doing, "A what? Legionaire?". Droping his bow next to his empty quiver he breaks into a run towards Meneloss and watches Sangraal dart in front him. Passing by the kind-hearted monk, "Screw the dwarf Kezib! Help Ruig and Ruglan!" he points towards the two fighters.
Running all out he passes the door and finally spies the escaping soldier, a dangling cleric of Yelm and a cursing Meneloss. For a split second he thinks about the kind of luck he has had all day and wonders if he really should be pushing it as he jumps for the lip of the first step.
[Atan will Run X4 and climb (+4) the stairs after the legionaire. It is 85 feet from his position to the first stair. I don't know how far I can continue moving after the first stair in a round.]

"The Empire is not our enemy! We're up to our assholes in broo and we're trying to kill a man who may be able to help us!"
"Legionnaire!" he switches to Lunar, which he can only speak in the aristocratic cadence of the classical writers,
"In the name of the Holy Moon, stop! We mistook you for an enemy! We must speak, if any are to survive! Do not run, I pray you!"

[Halle, You cant combine climb and run like that, run is a full-round action, unless you have spiderclimb. But you can do a running jump.]
