Re: Old Kurlew, Part II
Ruglan tries to climb the ladder as fast as he can, and then waits to help lift it and move it to the next step. "What the hell IS a legionaire doing in here?" he asks to nobody in particular.

Re: Old Kurlew, Part II
"Dang!", Atan exclaims at the Legionaires lucky block of the grappling hook. He instantly begins retrieving the device.
"Got 'em!", he yells moments later after Madragar successfully drops the constrictor on the hapless dark-skinned warrior.
Looking back over his shoulder as he reels in the hook, "Good job Madragar!" But his smile quickly evaporates as he sees the dwarf abandoned. "Hey! Someone stay with the Dwarf!"

Re: Old Kurlew, Part II
Draxim closes to within 10 feet of the 'unarmed' dwarf and aims his crossbow just above his head. He smiles that feral smile. A string of low and pointed dwarven follows. [GMC]
Draxim keeps him covered. Any false move and Thwack!

Re: Old Kurlew, Part II
The dwarf is only a few feet away from Draxim at this point, right where Kezib left him at the base of the stairs. Draxim, keeping his eye on the dwarf and what is happening up the stairs, backs his prisoner against the first riser though out of the way of those scaling the ladder. The dwarf, for his part, seems disinclined to make any offensive move.
Up on the fourth step the legionnaire struggles with the confounded rope. The soldier wisely steps down off the ladder to get a firmer footing for his attempts to escape. For the moment, however, he seems thoroughly entangled.

Bladder Ladder
[OOC: Did Ruglan pull the ladder up to the next set of steps?]
If so then Sangraal will climb to the next set of stairs and will again brace himself against the riser to help anyone up to the 3rd step.

Re: Old Kurlew, Part II
"Draxim!" Kezib calls out to the dwarf, "Try to get some information from him. He has not tried any offensive moves, even upon me, an unarmed man. He claims to have no weapons, try talking to him"

Re: Bladder Ladder
[Yes. I just forgot to mention it.]
Sangraal climbs up to the second step.
Below, Draxim and the dwarf are having a conversation in their native tongue. Many harsh vowels and consonants pass between them, and their eyes are narrowed with fierce suspicion.

Re: Bladder Ladder
Through the huff and puffing, working to get the ladder in place, Kezib calls out "What is he saying Draxim?"

Re: Bladder Ladder
Draxim mutters something not often heard in pleasant company. "Ask him yourself! He's not deaf or mute and he speaks Moagaran just fine."

Re: Bladder Ladder
Kezib, stunned for the moment, ponders on jumping down and dealing with the dwarf himself, decides otherwise.
"If he doesnt want to provide information, take him out." Kezib, surprising himself, calls out to draxim.

Death Monk
Atan, winding up to throw the grappling hook, suddenly jerks his head around at the unchracteristically blood thirsty statement by Kezib. Despite himself, he starts to laugh. Hoping the laughter doesn't effect his aim, he again hurls the hook at the ladder (+4 hit).
[Again I want to pull the legionaires ladder down to me.]

Ahem...
Quote: "If he doesnt want to provide information, take him out."
That was so out of character and against Kezib's alignment that it boggles the mind. Consider this a warning from on high, renegade monk.

The Ladder
Against the odds, Atan manages to get the grappling hook over the top of the ladder and gives the rope a hard pull. The ladder tips over onto the stair with a clang of iron and the smack of wooden slats on the unyielding flagstones. The elf madly hauls on the rope until the ladder tumbles from the fourth step down onto the third. For now that's as far as Atan can draw in the ladder.

Re: The Ladder
[Dear GM: Note that the Legionnaire is not immoblized only if the only factor is the rope. If he -is- lashed to something (such as the ladder), the PHB says he is immobilized. Your ruling takes precedence, of course; this is simply a reminder.]

Re: The Ladder
[The PHB says that if the rope can wrap around something immobile then the target is immobile. The ladder isn't immobile.]

[It was my understanding that Meneloss had climbed the ladder after Ruig and Ruglan placed it down and so was on the first stair, not the base]

Re: The Ladder
[It was in my last post...]
"Excellent job Madragar! Now you may ask your questions, though I think his tongue will be false!"
Meneloss tries to get Atan's help in climbing up the second stair to meet the Ranger. "How do we get this piggie to the market?" He wonders aloud.
(Meneloss will jump +1 and climb +1 up to Atan)

Re: The Ladder
Meneloss scrambles up the ladder to join Sangraal and Atan on the second step, followed by Ruig a moment later.

Re: The Ladder
[OOC: Sorry about that, real life frustrations, vented out in the game. Again, I apologize]
When its Kezibs go, he will go up the ladder again.
