Ruglan shouts at the broo in front of him, "C'mon and get what's coming to ya!" he will continue to maintain his position in the line and wait for the broo to give him an opening.

Re: Old Kurlew, Part IV
Methodically he draws an arrow and fits it to the string. Pulling the fletching back to his ear, he leans around the corner. "Car degi-hû anta." , he whispers as the missile is released.
[shoot at the dog face broo (+5 to hit/ 2d6 dmg x3 critical) IHe wants to get cover from dogface so he will move 5 feet away from the corner after he shoots if he needs to.]

Re: Old Kurlew, Part IV
[Clinging to a sheer surface the way he is, Atan cannot move without his hands. It is still a standard action for him to shoot, but he'll need to strap his bow to his back before he can move, which is a move equivalent action. He can, however, lean around the corner, shoot, then lean back getting some benefit of cover.]
Atan snaps off a shot at the swift dog-faced broo as it begins to wind up for another sling shot. The elf's arrow speeds towards its target, but something altogether unexpected halts its progress. With the spinning sling in its right hand, the broo lashes out at the speeding missile with the whip in its left hand. The sharp iron tip of the broo's weapon strikes the arrow in mid-flight, breaking it into two pieces which fall uselessly to the stone floor.

Re: Old Kurlew, Part IV
In the face of the dazzling sunlight shining forth from Sangraal's flail, one of the broo loses heart and breaks for cover. The remaining three, though clearly affected by the blinding light, push forward, eager to shed some sunlander blood.
Meneloss' opponent, two ragged wounds dumping blood onto the barricade, shies away from Sangraal's light, only making a half hearted attempt to cut down the sword-swinging elf. To the right, Ruig hammers at the knee of another broo as it advances, nearly knocking the thing's patela clean off. The beast roars in agony, and tumbles down off the barricade and into Ruig. Dwarf and broo are nose to nose and hack at each other mercilessly. It's hard to tell who's blood is flowing, but the ground is soon slick with the stuff.
To the left, Ruglan waits for his opponent to move in. However, the wounded creature doesn't have to get so close... it wields a big, butcher bladed glaive. From a comfortably safe distance the creature winds up and hacks at Ruglan, but it is both a slow and careless swing and fails to connect.
Back in the hallway, the dog-faced broo moves closer to the combat and finds a clear shot at the wall climbing ranger. As the beast lets loose its sling, Atan wonders if the spell will continue if he loses consciousness. Lucky for him the stone flies harmlessly by.
In the chamber below, a deep, menacing voice carries through the hall loud enough to drown out the sounds of combat.
"Galrah veral! Nrah!" the voice bellows in its filthy tongue. Immediately the team of broo pulling on the boulder rush around behind it to push. The big block begins to move.
Combat map.

More Light for the Light God!
With steady conviction and bathed in light, Sangraal confidently steps forward. Attemping to bring the full might of his weapon into play, he cranks back and the sound of metal hitting the ground behind him can be heard. ( In another time the swing would have been considered way illegal, unless it was powered for only the last 90 degrees of the swing)

Re: Old Kurlew, Part IV
Sangraal's opponent, besides being already badly wounded by Meneloss' constant poking, is unable to even look in the priest's direction because of the brilliant light pouring from his weapon. As such, the broo can't muster even a modest defense against that nasty nasty flail.
Sangraal's attack is slow and unsubtle, but connects nonetheless. The ironshod head of the flail completes its arc on top of the broo's head, cracking open its skull like a ripe mellon dropped from a bridge. The beast's cranium explodes in blood, bone fragments and brain matter, splattering Sangraal and Meneloss with gobbets of gore. Meneloss nearly wretches as he turns away to spit out a glob of broo brain that rocketed into the back of his throat.

Re: Old Kurlew, Part IV
Kezib slides left around Ruig to get a shot at the broo. The monk waits a critical moment for an opening in the flurry of clashing axe and hammer, then moves in. Kezib brings his foot straight up, then mercilessly down in a powerful hammer kick. His heel strikes the broo right between the eyes, dashing the unconscious beast to the ground at Ruig's feet. Kezib moves in, and finishes the broo with a quick jab to the throat.
[#13 goes down.]

[You forgot to move me last turn. I should be Up 3 and left 2]
Draxim steps up (up 1 right 1). He loads and takes the Point Blank shot at broo #4. (Same stats).
[My final position should be up one and left two from Ruglan. ]

Re: Old Kurlew, Part IV
Draxim plunks another bolt into the glaive wielding broo, but it is merely a flesh wound and doesn't distract his target from winding up for another swing at Ruglan.

Re: Old Kurlew, Part IV
Madragar clambers to the top of the barricade, crossbow in hand.
"They've nearly got the stone in place!" he shouts. "We must move forward!"
[That's a move action. Anything else you want to do? -GM]
[Sure. If pulling out a second vial of oil is an action, he'll do that. If not, he'll pull it out and take a full 30' move forward.]
[Madragar has at least a +1 BaB, so drawing the oil can be part of a move-equivalent action. Which way is "forward"? -GM]

Re: Old Kurlew, Part IV
Atan shakes his head in amazement at the missile lashing Broo. Grabbing yet another arrow, "Lets see him do that again.", he says increduously. Tapping the arrow on his head for good luck, an old superstition, he rapidly knocks it, draws .......and shoots.
[Shoot at Dog-face +5/2d6]
[If ruglan only took a 5 foot step why did the broo get to attack? Was that an AoO?]
[True. It was a 5' step, so no AoO. -GM]

Re: Old Kurlew, Part IV
[I thought tapping arrows on your head was clear dirt out of the magazine....]
Atan launches another arrow at his adversary and watches the missle streak directly toward the beast's eyes. A fraction of a second before impact the broo twitches its head to the side, causing the missile to pass harmlessly by. The shot was so close that the arrow's fletching actually ruffles part of the broo's fur.

Re: Old Kurlew, Part IV
Madragar scrambles up onto the barricade and down the other side, sliding over the red gore of a number of bloody broo corpses. The tatooed wizard rushes down the sloping hallway toward a whole mess o' broo, producing a flask of oil from his pouch as he makes his headlong charge.
Ruig pauses long enough to slap Kezib on the shoulder before hurling himself over the stone wall, rushing forward to interpose himself between Madragar and the strange dog-faced broo.
Combat map updated.

Must be a jack russel
[Clear dirt, set the bullets back in the magazine to keep from fouling on the receiver, or just knocking on wood (thus the joke).]
Atan is just plain impressed. Leaning against the wall trying to keep himself from getting shot, "Kezib, I think this guy is an old friend of yours."

Looking about for more opponents, Kezib hears the words come from Atan.
"Darkness is no friend of mine" He says with a gleam in his eyes. "But Im sure he would love to taste the flurry of my fists"
