Re: Ahem...
Ruglan will attempt to stem the flow of blood from Sangraal. Once he has stabilized him he will help the monk.
"I say we finish the beast!" Ruglan calls to Atan, "He won't tell us anything." "Help Draxim and Madragar!"

Re: Ahem...
Ruglan will do the best he can, but his skill in healing is minimal. Atan, sprinting, will still take 2 rounds to get off the wall and 4 more to get his pack.
In that six round interval, Ruglan manages to stop Sangraal's bleeding, but that's it. Madragar, Draxim and Kezib continue to bleed out.
Who does Atan deal with first?

Re: Ahem...
Atan stops in his tracks "OK, OK! I have some skill. " he blurts nervously, " Go grab the medical kit."
Atan looks around for the most greivously wounded and sets to work.
[Heal +4. Atan will identify who he thinks needs it the most and will start with him then work his way down to the least injured. ONce he has his kit he gets +2 Heal for the next 5 checks]
[GM - Sorry was typing this while you posted. HOw do you want to ajudicate this? I wish to treat them while Ruglan gets the healing kit.]

Re: Ahem...
"Which pack has your kit?" asks Ruglan as he gets up and starts off towards the packs at his fastest pace.

Re: Ahem...
Madragar is clearly the worst. He doesn't have much blood on him, but the wound given him by the jackal is all purple and nasty around the edges. His breathing is shallow, and his face is getting all puffy. Atan cleans the gash as best he can and makes sure the deep javelin wound is staunched.
Draxim and Kezib are both soaked in blood (theirs and others) but Atan is able to find their wounds and halt the bleeding. The dwarf, it seems, has shrugged off the jackal's poison.
Atan knows, however, that for all four of his injured comrades the real test will come in the next few hours. Broo weapons are always filthy and ripe with disease. Infected wounds often lead to a hideous, agonizing death for the victim, and Atan simply doesn't have the supplies to do anything more than hope.

The one that says 'Bad Mother F@#ker'
"I separated it from my pack so it is lying out on the stairs. Can't miss it."
When Ruglan returns he takes the healing salves and applies it liberally to the Chaos inflicted wounds. For Madragar he opens a small wrap of cheesecloth containng a white doughy substance. Retrieving a lantern he open the small door to the fire. Placing the white substance on his dagger he gently heats it until warm. He then gently presses the poultice onto the ugly, puckered wound that envenomed the poor mage.
Once he has done all he can for the immobilized, he motions for Ruglan to come close so that he may treat his wounds as well. "We should retrieve all their gear. We may be here for a few days. With luck no more Broo will come, but we must take watches ourselves on the barricade."

Re: Ahem...
"No... hope for... sunlanders... when he comes for you..." the jackal headed broo hisses, propped against the stone wall of the hallway. Blood drips from its mouth when it speaks and at the end of its threat the beast passes out again.

Re: The one that says 'Bad Mother F@#ker'
Once Atan is done treating everyone else he cautiously approaches the passed out Broo. Motioning for Ruglan to imobilize the creatures arms, Atan carefully removes its poisoned rings and sets them aside. Grabbing the Broo's sling he quickly binds the creatures hands behind its back at the elbow and wrists. Lastly he gags the creature with a balled up Broo loin cloth, courtesy of one of his fellow dead beastmen. Once that is done, Atan will treat its wounds in an attempt to save its life.
Seeing the fevor in Ruglan's eyes, "Yes, I would like to kill it too. But we have many more questions now then when we came to the mountain. Jackal here can answer them, so we keep him alive.....at no risk to us of course. If he causes the slightest problem, knife him."
Standing up he wipes his filthy hands on his pants. "Lets dress Meneloss and Ruig for Humakt." Atan and Ruglan fix each of their respective bedrolls to enshroud the two warriors. Using their waterskins they wash the wounds before carefully before wrapping them.

Hroldi watches them now
After the couple of hours required for them to bandage everyone and arrange a small temporary camp passess, Atan and Ruglan finally have a momment to sit. Atan pulls out a large loaf of bread and a chunk of salted meat and starts eating. For minutes nothing but the snorting and moist noises of chewing can be heard followed by the throaty gurggling of water being downed.
"Well Ruglan, we should check to see what Gulku and his friends were up to."
[OOC - Atan takes a stroll around the inner chamber and the boulder. Afterwards he will strip Elk-head and Jackal of all their gear (ie naked) and pile the Broo weapons in the room as well. Atan also offers Ruglan the pleasure of cutting off Gulkhus head for possible bringback as a proof. (Spot +6, Sense Chaos +3) Lastly he will collect any arrows he can recover (he fired all 15).]

Re: Hroldi watches them now
After seperating his unconscious companions from the slaughtered broo, Atan surveys the chamber...
... and almost chokes up his modest meal. The southern part of the circular chamber is littered with human and elf bones, almost certainly of his old companions in the Merek Lek. What little flesh hasn't been gnawed off the pale white corpse-sticks is in various stages of decomposition. The whole place stinks of death.
Bits of stone lay scattered all around the perimeter of the giant stone portal as well as a number of well worn mining picks. The one massive boulder still rests upon the portal, wrapped in thick ropes.
At the back of the chamber another large stone is another scene of merciless carnage. The stone appears to be some kind of altar, and the skin of some unknown number of unfortunate Merek Lek have been pulled over the boulder and tied together underneath. The stone is, in fact, completely sheathed in human and elf skin. There are an array of black iron instruments - hooks, blades, chains, but Atan retreats back to the hallway before his nausia becomes more active.
Ruglan finds a number of valuable objects on both the jackal headed broo and Gulkhu. The jackal wore a thick silver arband on each bicep, and besides the bladed rings (which are steel) has a crude but substantive gold ring. Gulkhu has no jewelry, but a pouch tucked under its armor that contains three lumpy gold ingots, each about the size of a thumb. Neither Ruglan nor Atan can estimate their value.
Ruglan and Atan try to make their companions comfortable and wait.
