Ulwe's expression grows dark his eyes narrow and his posture is stiff.
"Shadows." Is all he says at first. The mention of such a horrible creature silences the room for a moment.
"These are indeed unwelcome tidings. Now I fear the worst for your friends. However there is a dark and terrible force which must be destroyed. We have no choice but to seek it out. Let us bring more than torches good friends. Bring your faith! Faith alone will be our protection against the darkness."

The Black Barrel is the best place to pick up the trail of the Shadows. No doubt we will encounter the servants of the Shadows first. They can bend the will of men to their own to do their bidding."
He adds
"And do not sell our company short. If a Heretic one-armed Dwarf is consumed by Shadows, it does not mean that we will meet the same fate."

Madragar says nothing to this, but shoulders his crossbow and leads the group out the door and into the night.
