Re: More Questions
Draxim approaches the Old Dwarf and kneels down in front of the wretch. "Old One. What was the legionairre's name?" Draxim is doing his best not to lord it over the previously pompous thief. He knows all to well how fortunes shift in this world.

"His name is Qulzul," the dwarf grumbles.

Re: More Questions
Madragar looks to Kruanru. "If you have no more use for him, would you consider releasing him to us? His hatred for this Qulzul and his knowledge of those to whom he sold the cloaks may prove most useful to us. It would allow him to begin to repay his debt to society, whereas his death will leave the account forever in the red."

Re: More Questions
Kruanru shrugs. "Once he leaves this temple you may do with him what you like, though if he dies at your hands you will have to answer to me."
Qadras feverishly looks back and forth between the Humakt priest and Madragar - a rat caught between a hungry cat and the rising tide.

"I've no time or energy to cage and track you, Qadras," says Madragar. "You know I am a fair man. If you will help me, I may help you. But betray me, and you may wish the Swordelders had held onto you longer. Will you stay, or will you go with me?"

"So be it," replies Madragar.
"Good morrow to you, Swordelders."
Madragar leaves, and waits outside the citadel for his companions to join him.

Next Stop
After the last member of the group has left the Humakt Temple, Ulwe suggests the group convene at the Ghurugil lodge to discuss the next step:
"I have some Ideas as I'm sure all of you do. I don't think they are best discussed here or in any other public space. If we retire to our Hosts we may speak freely and frankly. Though perhaps one or two of us should linger and look after Qadras. His next move should definately be watched."

Re: Next Stop
Once outside.....
Sangraal looks to Sal'el
"Tracker can you wait here and follow this one handed dwarf? Though he may wish to leave this land, he'll need at the very least some quick cash to be on his way. I think theres a good chance he'll seek help or maybe recover any hidden ill gotten gains.
The sun is quickly sinking so Sangraal quickly and quietly presses the subject amoungst his allies.
"We can't wait till we get back to the lodge, so Sal'el I'll pay your wages out of my own pocket if you can track this Qadras and notify us of his every move. We as a group can go back to the lodge, arm ourselves and awiat for your return."

Sal'el waves off Sangraal's offer.
"My services have been retained by the Ghurugil, but I am at your service Brother. I will follow this dwarf and see what he intends."

Re: Next Stop
Interlude: Rushing back across town, the group reaches the Ghurugil lodge just at sunset.
The main hall is quiet, though a number of the aging Ghurugil stand clustered around the roaring fireplace. Harek and Kildeer have returned and stand with their brethren, likely catching up on all that has occurred since the group disappeared into the depths of Old Kurlew.
Kildeer simply nods as the party enters the hall, but Harek smiles and waves.
"Welcome back friends," he calls out. "I'm happy to see you didn't fall into darkness among the deep roots of the mountain. We would have been back this morning but getting a boat out of Pulyoke is more difficult than I have ever known it to be."

Sangraal greets Harek and Kildeer informing them of the events under the mountain and of the dissapperence of Atan and Kezib.
"What is happening in Pulyoke?"

Re: Next Stop
"Fortune hunters, mostly," Harek replies. Kildeer, Madfillin and Tolm continue to mumble to each other in their own language. "An old Lunar monestary has been found as I understand it, and there's lots of silver being recovered. Some deaths, too, I hear. There are places in those ruins that men don't return from."

Re: Next Stop
Ulwe introduces himself to the two newcomers Killdeeer and Harek
"Friends, I am Ulwe. As interested in Pulyoke as I am, forgive me for changing the subject, though later I do wish to discuss more about this town and its monestary."
Ulwe pours himself a tall glass of water and begins.
"If your friends are still alive then we may be able to buy thier freedom. I noticed the gold nuggets and silver armbands your company had retrieved from your foes. I presume you have already sold them. At the very least, the shares of Atan and Kezib should be offered for thier lives. How we go about making the offer Is of course the most difficult since we do not know who took them."
"For a small fee we could hire some youths who are familiar with Potters Row to let our reward be known. Also a few taverns in the vicinity should be visited, and there we may let it be known that our friends are worth more to their captors alive than dead."
"Of course if they are not alive, and we must now be prepared to face that, then the money may loosen some tongues."

Excellent idea
Sangraal nods " Excellent idea Ulwe. Though I'd prefer to wait till Sal'el returns before we go that course."
Sangraal goes and put on his armor.

Follow up.
Draxim lingers with the old dwarf before departing [Sorry] he asks these questions in a respectful but firm fashion:
what is your name?
What was you arrangement with the legionairre?
where did you meet him?
where is he likely to go now?
Do you have some great knowledge or a map of the caverns of Koraeus?
Where did you find this gold that the legionairre stole from you?
Is there more?
how did you escape the arrival of the other giants?
Have you had any dealings with the big merchant house here ? (Draxim has forgotten the name. He is a dwarf of very little brain after all.)
Where will you go now?
Once satisfied he returns to the Ghurugil:
what are the dwarves mumbling about?

Re: Follow up.
Qadras ignores Draxim and his torrent of questions. The Swordelders don't seem disposed to force the answers out of him as it has nothing to do with the disappearance of Kezib and Atan, a matter with which the Humakt priests are only mildly interested.
Draxim can't tell what the Ghurugil are mumbling about.

Re: Follow up.
"It rankles me to pay a ransom," says Madragar, "though I must agree it is an appealing solution. It assumes, however, both that they are alive and that they are not being held for a reason more dear than gold."
"No doubt Atan and Kezib's share of the small treasure is already in the hands of their captors, if they are indeed captive. We shall have to make up the reward out of our own funds. However, I think we must also prepare for the possibility that only force will free them."
"It is getting dark. I reccommend that Sangraal and Ulwe pursue the ransom, while Draxim and I pursue Raega. We can meet up at midnight and decide on a further course of action."
