Re: For it makes them soggy and hard to light.
While the rest of the group mianders through the halls, at a slow pace, Pogar will heft his new shield and get better accuainted with the weight and the differences of the old shield and the new shield. He will practice his formless form of chaotic attack, slowly, to measure the distance from the blade of his axe and the shield, to make sure that there is no collision between the axe and shield.

I'd dedicate this one to the Man
Draxim in his greed, has been busily counting and assessing as the disc travels along. So intent is he on his task that he frequently bumps into thing, trods on people's feet, even running smack into the back of the dragon newt at one point, eliciting a red-faced "begging your pardon"
Then out of nowhere he suddenly exclaims, "Holy smokes! I forgot!"
He then kneels on the ground and bows his head just as the booty laden disk passes over his head. He reamains in the prayerful posture for a little while, intoning his thanks to the Storm Bull. Afterwards, he spends some time fussing over Ruglan before returning to the objects of his avarice.

Re: I'd dedicate this one to the Man
Draxim does his best to count out the bucket-loads of coinage but there is simply too much of it. There are, however, an array of silver and gold jewelry, and even some gems, among the treasure. While rooting through the largest of the chests, Draxim comes upon nothing less than a crown of gold surmounted by eight black opals. It must be worth a fortune all on its own. The thing is too small for his head, but the dwarf sheepishly dons the princely object when no one is looking and comes close to soiling himself in his joy.

Re: I'd dedicate this one to the Man
As they pass the Ghuraskalli grave marker, Khelzhad praises his ancestors and gives thanks to the Lightbringers:
"In the light, you will guide us
In the darkness, you are beside us
In water, earth, fire or air
we have no doubt that you are there.
Even 'neath the Shadow's wing
when fortune does despair,
you steel our hearts against the foe,
your presence ever there.
Thank thee! Praise thee!
The Shadow's servants we did smite!
The first alliance forged anew.
The Companions of the Light!"

While Khelzhad entones his thanks, Pogar will bow his head and silently walk by, giving thanks. Though following the rules of the Priests and outwardly expressions, Pogar is against but silently, Pogar prays.

Oh, by the way...
[I forgot to mention.]
Also among the glittering gold treasure were a variety of superbly crafted weapons and armor.
[Everything on the list below is of Masterwork quality. Masterwork armor has a smaller Armor Check Penalty and Masterwork weapons are +1 to hit.]
1 small steel round shield
2 full suits of chainmail
4 longswords and scabbards
2 shortswords
3 light crossbows
1 battleaxe

There's no place like home.
Casting long shadows on the winding cavern floor, the companions approach the duergar siege lines that fill the tunnel leading to the Fortress. Before they have even reached the top of the time-worn switchback that was the home of the shadowborn dwarves for decades on end the sounds of many voices can be heard. Atan is the first to spot the source of the noise and quickly calls the others forward to observe the scene.
In amongst the duergar seigeworks, milling about the burnt pallisades and catapults, or simply resting on the hard stone, are the Hryl villagers. It does, in fact, appear to be every last one of the two hundred or so common folk, all their worldly possessions gathered up in sacks and satchels, though many of them carry weapons likely gleaned from the Fortress armory.
Most of the villagers are doing nothing but sitting and chatting with their fellows, though a small group of the former townguardsmen of Hryl are having a heated discussion around the firepit of the main duergar encampment. Atan looks back to give his opinion on how the party should procede, but is a little surprised by a stranger in their midst. A Moagaran human, dressed in a fashion not unlike Janes' simple clothing, appears to have taken the place of the tall, conspicuous dragonewt. The stranger meets Atan's stare.
"Better this way. They would only be confused by my appearance." the stranger declares as a sort of explanation, his words formed from the alien tones of the dragonewt.

"No doubt Chandra has ordered them to leave in advance of the conflict with Irigaal. You should hasten to her side," Madragar tells Atan.

Re: There's no place like home.
Ulwe, having been silent the entire walk seems to snap out of a private reverie. He looks over the party to see if there are any wounded left. [Pogar ?]
"If there is to be another battle, let us prepare ourselves now."
[Draxim and Pogar are both moderately wounded.]
Quote: [Madragar identifies a number of healing potions: seven Cure Light Wounds, two Cure Moderate Wounds. Sangraal and Ulwe also find three more Cure Moderate Wound scrolls and a single Cure Serious Wounds.
"To be on the safe side..." He tosses Pogar a potion of Cure light wounds, and Draxim one as well.
"King Draxim! please honor your humble servant by quaffing this elixier at the first sign of trouble. Pogar Stone Crusher, you as well.
If there is not to be a battle, then hold them for safe-keeping."

Re: There's no place like home.
Seeing the Dragonewt change into human form, gets Pogar off ease. Pogar will take the cure light potion and tuck it into his belt, next to the blade oil.

Is it on your sheet?
[Jason, make sure to write it on your character sheet!!!!!]
[What? You have time to reprimand Pogar but you don't have time to have Sangraal do anything but stand there waiting for Atan to tell him what to do? Negative RP XP for you! -GM]

Re: Is it on your sheet?
Noticing the companions standing at the top of the switchback just staring at them, Almaer of the Hryl townguard stumbles up the slope to greet them with yet another crisis.
"Something bad happened! The fire in that room got really bright and hot and Chandra and Theony went in there and we heard fighting and then things started coming out of the walls so we got the hell out of there but when we got back to the surface the main hall was all smashed up and things were on fire!"

Re: Is it on your sheet?
Sensing that another fight is just be around the corner, Khelzhad exchanges his freshly nicked blade for one of the masterwork longswords and if no one else wants the steel shield right now, he will also use that. He will also take one of the light crossbows in case some bolts are found.

Re: Is it on your sheet?
Khelzhad is able to get as many crossbow bolts as he wants from the villagers. They have dozens of legionnaire light crossbows and hundreds of bolts between them.
Sangraal's flail turns into a banana on a string.
