Re: Man Alive.....!!
Madragar continues to concentrate on the swirling lights that hold the fragile attention of the Emperor. He considers this to be the survival margin for his companions and himself, and so does his utmost to ensure that nothing breaks that concentration.
This does not keep him from monitoring the the battle, however, and he will maneuver as necessary to keep behind the wall of brave defenders.
[He'll step 1 square NW and one N, to get the partial cover of the door.]

Re: Man Alive.....!!
[Scott - I think you meant Atan, not Madragar is moderately wounded. Also discrepency with Draxim. Janes and Sangraal had the potions of cure moderate. Not sure where Draxim got his. If it is cool I 'll just mark it off the pile. Just let me know.]
Seeing another circle materializing Atan turns to Janes, the unattended spear wound in his leg pouring blood. "Let me get one the potions", he asks. One arm outstrecthed for the elixer, the other still holding his sword.
"Sangraal, what about the scrolls? Heal us and yourself before the next demon arrives.'

[OOC: Ulwe has the other 2 scrolls of cure Moderate. Sangraal burned both the cure serious and cure moderate scrolls already. So Sangraal is out of healing. Except for 0-level spells. Sangraal also took his last potion of cure moderate so this boy is tapped.]

Re: Man Alive.....!!
[Actually both Madragar and Atan are moderately wounded.
As for LOS, I don't see anything that says it needs to be maintained in order to continue a spell with duration "Concentration." Nor do you need to still be within the normal range of the spell.]
Continuing to gobble through the party's healing at a prodigious rate, Janes quickly produces another copper flask and hands it over to Atan, who pops the cork and downs it in one swig.
After drinking his own potion, Draxim marches over to the second summoning circle and gets ready for another foe to appear. When the hemisphere of scintillating light disappears, however, he is confronted with not one but two foes. The fire-spitting, crimson-skinned snake-men are each identical to the one that came before them, but each is considerably smaller. Their spears are no less deadly, however, and confronted by the lone dwarf the pair screech in vicious fury. Two tails lash out at Draxim, one badly aimed and the other the dwarf deftly dodges. Then, retreating away from their adversary, the two diminutive creatures jab furiously, both scoring hits and raising both ragged wounds and painful burns across Draxim's body.
Irigaal explodes into a maelstrom of fire and hate. Again Zulquerzarhen appears to be consumed, and in seconds the Emperor is lost within the column of fire and smoke. The iron doors of the Fortress begin to melt.
In its rage, Irigaal spits out a ball of flame which bounces through the piles of rubble setting everything it touches on fire. The flaming sphere lacks direction, however, and rolls between Pogar and Khelzhad until it strikes the wall of the chamber, rebounding eratically.
Map updated.
[Draxim is moderately wounded again.]

Atan holds his position with sword held at the ready.
[OOC: Atan stays in place and holds his attack and attacks when any creature gets within range. Also if they trigger an AAO he will use the sword.]

Seeing the difference of the Bladesharp potion, Pogar will take the potion, that has been neatly tucked into his belt and pop the cork and quickly adorn it upon his blade of his axe. Once complete, Pogar will quickly move to aid his dwarven brother by the summoning circles.

Re: Man Alive.....!!
Staying defensive Sangraal watches the two demons attempt to draw Draxim away from the line.
"Master dwarf," Sangraal calls to Draxim " be careful they draw you forth."
Sangraal calls back to Utama who is obscured from view by a tangle of hoses and equipment.
"How's it going back there? How much longer do you need?"

Fat guy to Red 5: "stay on target"
"They are trying to draw us out." Sangraal explains to Draxim. "Once we are spread out then they can move around us before we can stop them. If we guard the door then they can not get by"
"We need to protect Utama and Madragar." Sangraal looks to Janes, Ulwe and Atan.
"Hold the door."

Porkins to you buddy...
"Janes, use the javelins! They are enchanted, your worldy bolts hold no sway over these demons. Let fly!" Says Ulwe exitedly.
[Can Janes hand Atan or Sangraal a javelin and still throw in the same round?]
Watching Draxim fight off the two demons is more than he can bear, and after Janes throws the javelin, the sea-elf levels his enchanted spear. With a vulgar warcry, more to alert Janes to Ulwe, than to instill fear in his otherworldly opponents, the Aerendalen rushes to his Dwarven comrades side.
[Ulwe will wait to move 20' North past Janes and Sangraal after they have thrown missile weapons (It is ok to move through friendlies right?) to attack #2, +4 +? to hit, d8 +1, +? dam / Dodge focus on #2 AC 19 ]

Re: Fat guy to Red 5: "stay on target"
[Forgot about Khelzhad's held shot.]
Khelzhad pulls the trigger of his crossbow the instant the two burning serpent creatures appear. His bolt is on target but strikes the crimson flesh of one beast and simply bounces off. The bard is beginning to think that having something with a bit more oomf might be necessary to harm the otherworldly creatures. Yet, maneuvering for a clear line of sight, he fires again, and again his bolt ricochets off his target's hide.
Applying a healthy dose of the bladesharp oil on his axe, Pogar stows the half-empty flask and advances toward the two smaller snake-men.
[Draxim said he moved east, but #2 is to the west.]
Draxim advances on one of the two hissing monsters and chops a deep wound in the thing's arm. Spitting fire and cursing at him in its infernal tongue, the snake-man slithers and uncoils its tail for another strike.
[Ulwe holds his action.]

Janes looks at Ulwe like he's crazy and holds out a javelin to Atan in case he wants to throw one, ready to hand the other over to the obviously superior javelin tosser.

Up a notch.
Sangraal and Atan stay put, each taking a defensive stance while Janes, who looks like he means to hand off the potent javelins to someone, stands nearby.
Ulwe bounds through the battle line and into combat. Maneuvering just behind Draxim, who provides a layer of protection for the elf but also partially blocks his aim, Ulwe clashes spears with one of the hissing snake-men. The adversaries stab and parry furiously for a few seconds but neither can gain the advantage.
Draxim dodges the deadly tail strike of one burning serpent, and parries its searing spear as well. Yet the second creature bides its time and manages to stab a neat hole in Draxim's hauberk and tears into the flesh beneath.
KABOOM! The flaming sphere near Atan explodes in a storm of fire and concussion. Bits of rubble scatter outward, filling the air with flaming shrapnel and wisps of thick black smoke. Atan utters some curse that is lost in the sound of the blast, but was apparently just far enough way to avoid the worst of it.
Before the debris from the explosion has even come to rest amid the rubble of the battlefield, a tremendous, high pitched keening sound rips through the air. It is like a dozen steel helms being crushed by a giant wagon, a hundred swords being forged at once, a thousand rats throttled simultaneously. Among the tangle of tubes and instruments Utama utters a terse exclamation as the apparatus roars into life.
Above the central dais, the Illuminating Orb begins to glow. The nearly opaque greenish liquid within the enigmatic sphere suddenly swirls into a vigorous whirlpool while motes of orange light arc along the many steel rods that surmount the strange machine. The light emanating from the Orb flickers momentarily, then rushes outward in an ethereal wave. The green illumination, identical to the one Utama conjured in the battle against Urukavas, pours through the Experiment room and out into the main hall until the entire Fortress is bathed in the viridian glow.
Utama rises up from his crouch and shakes a triumphant fist at the Orb, but quickly dives back into the guts of the apparatus to continue his work.
The sound of the operating machine, and the ominous glow it emits, seems to drive Irigaal into a frenzy. The maelstrom of fire that surrounds it convulses outward, entirely consuming the main doors of the Fortress. A wave of heat washes over Khelzhad, and the bard reconsiders the wisdom of advancing further away from his companions.
Two burning spheres spiral outward from Irigaal's firestorm, each leaving trails of thick black smoke in its wake before striking the stone floor and bouncing erratically around the room. One of the deadly missiles lands right in front of Atan, who narrowly dives to one side, avoiding the evil ball of fire before it can complete its trajectory on his face. His hair and clothing singed, the elf watches the sphere bounce against the lintel of the mangled iron door behind him and arc back into the main hall. Finally landing among a pile of tables and chairs, Atan can imagine each flinder of wood becoming a deadly, flaming projectile in a matter of seconds.
The other sphere corkscrews into the northwest corner of the chamber, catching a cluster of ruined furniture ablaze in the process. Fire seems to be spreading everywhere.
Map.
[Madragar, Sangraal, Atan, Draxim and Pogar are moderately wounded. Ulwe is lightly wounded.]
