"I'll take one." Says Ulwe grabbing the enchanted javelin from Atan's hand.
[Maybe Madragar should have the ring and necklace? ]

Re: All divied up....let's go...
Atan hands a javelin to Ulwe. "Take 'em both if you want. Did your spear get bladesharped?"
[Only bladed weapons. -GM]
[Who knows what the ring and necklace do? Atan grabbed them cause no one else posted they would and he didn't want to leave anything behind.]

Re: All divied up....let's go...
[I believe that the bladesharp is over on Pogars axe, if not, Pogar will not use it, but will have it ready to spread on as soon as he hears combat.]
Upon hearing the perils and dangers, Pogar smirks and immediately starts following the Dragonewt into the fray.
[Pogar has 2 Bladesharp potions in his pack, one in his belt as well as a cure light potion in his belt.]

Re: All divied up....let's go...
"No, another with a sharp eye, and skilled hand should bear it. That way they can both be used at once. Draxim or you should carry this other javelin."
[OOC: Sorry for all the OOC, but I have been crazy busy at work, and had no time to deal with this, and since it is all book keeping primarily, please forgive me.
[Ulwe and Draxim both have good Dex's and to hit bonuses. Atan has the best, so it might make sense for him to carry it if he wants to use the other. but if nobody WANTS to carry it, Ulwe will be delighted to use it.]
[Regarding the Mastercrafted Items: Ulwe will also grab a master crafted Longsword, ditching his old Duergar blade.
Pogar or Draxim should take the Master Crafted Axe. Janes, Draxim or Madragar should take the master crafted Light Crossbows. 2 left... Does Janes or Pogar want a suit of full chain? Pogar might benfit from a higher AC. Janes might but it could hurt his mobility. Can bards wear medium armor? If so, Khelzhad might want a suit. As far as the shield goes, Ulwe will carry a small steel shield on his back, but if Khelzhad wants the master crafted one be my guest.]

If Janes uses a crossbow, let him have the mastercrafted one. Draxim is primarily a melee fighter, and Madragar, though he relies heavily on the crossbow, has other options.

Re: All divied up....let's go...
Draxim, after quaffing his potion and heading inside, blade sharps his axe, takes an M.C. Crossbow, and whatever healing potions are left, and heads inside.
"Pogar, you take the axe. This old servant of Urox will last a little longer." he says shaking his own silver collared chopper. As he heads inside. Without his pack.

Though pangs of hunger grow in his belly, Khelzhad smiles again as the party assembles and gives the now familiar 2 clangs on his shield to indicate readiness.

...
Resolute and (hopefully) prepared for what lies ahead, the companions leave the gawking villagers behind and march toward the glowing Fortress. The light shed by Irigaal, somewhere within the mass of iron and stone, streams outward in corruscading waves that dapple the distant walls of the immense cavern with horrid nightmare shapes, the Shadow's shadow.
As they reach the far end of the stone bridge, poised more than one hundred feet above the rocky bowl of the cavern below, the companions spot the array of strange, animated bronze plaques. No challenge is issued by the immortal devices. In fact, there is no movement among them at all. Soon it becomes clear that the bizarre constructs have not fared well in the unrestrained presence of Irigaal.
One plaque, positioned right above the huge stone doors of the Fortress, displays a mouth frozen in time, open and screaming, though no sound emerges from the construct. To the north another plaque shows a single eye, wide and staring. A third plaque, to the south, shows nothing at all.
Wary of any sudden attack by the mutilated bronze heralds, the group approaches the stone doors. First listening, Draxim and Atan can hear nothing from beyond the portal. At last they push their way through the door and into the chamber beyond.
The main hall of the Fortress is in ruins. Bits of smashed tables and chairs litter the room, many of them smouldering or burning merrily in the flickering illumination of the Shadow. The whole Fortress looks like the inside of a furnace, every inch of wall, floor and ceiling bathed in the orange glow of Irigaal.
A clear path appears to have been made from the descending staircase to the main doors, probably from the villagers' exodus. A second staircase to the south leads to the second floor of the fortress, which overhangs the main hall and grants access to the covered ramparts.
The pair of iron doors at the far end of the hall which lead to the mysterious "Experiment" room are closed but they are ominously mangled and bent, as if struck repeatedly by a giant's hammer. A quick check of their shadows reveals to the companions that Irigaal is somewhere beyond those doors.

What's that Smell?
Moving to Utama's side, Madragar asks "Do you know aught of the might or weaknesses of the Fiery One? We have set ourselves a task for which Hralma himself needed the aid of the Storm Bull."

Utama scratches his human chin. "I do not, though trapped as he is within that weapon I feel that we have the advantage. Perhaps."

Re: What's that Smell?
"Aye. If we could with stealth set up an ambush, we might perhaps gain that advantage. I guess that Lady Chandra sealed those doors. I wonder where she might be."
"Atan, Irigaal is contained within, for now at least. That gives you time to search for our allies."

Re: What's that Smell?
Sangraal offers supplications to his god, he asks for Yelms divine favor.
"Ulwe give me a scroll of Endurence." Sangraal motions. Its obvious that Sangraal intends to go toe to toe with the demon.
"This is the stuff of legends......"
[OOC: Sangraal takes the scroll and cast Endurence on himself
1d4+1 con bonus
I am sorry for being wishy -washy but Sangraal is going to be wearing a full suit of mastercrafted chainmail.

Pants up?
Khelzhad takes a moment to sheath his sword and sling his shield, switching over to the new light crossbow.
Then he addresses Utama: "Ancient-one, can this the fiery spirit take over a person's body as Urukavas did?"

Pulling up my pants
"Utama" Sangraal asks " You are a mage of some power. Is there not an enchantment you could cast on this instrument of Yelms might, that would help to defeat the demons very nature."
"Ulwe" Sangraal asks with a raised eyebrow indicating the same question.
[OCC: Sangraal is asking for a magic weapon spell if the mage or Ulwe has one or any other type of enchantment that might help Sangraal hurt the demon.
Sangraal is out of spells and if the demon can only be hit with magic weapons then he won't be much help. As a last resort he can take the magic shortword and a large shield.

Re: Pants up?
It takes a second for Atan to realize Madragar is talking to him. The bent, warped metal doors make quite an impression of the forces on the far side.
Shaking his head slightly, "I don't think a search is necessary, had they been able to escape they would have been outside, by the gate or here. She knew of our plan to return to the fortress upon the death of Urukavas. She would have been here waiting if she could." His last sentence comes forced and staggered. A man trying to talk and think at the same time.
Shifting back to his normal cadence, "The door is sealed to keep Irigaal in. We must open it to confront him but how do we do that with out releasing the demon?"
Turning to look at the dragonnewt, "Utama, can it be done or is this the risk we must accept to destroy him?"

Re: Pants up?
Madragar nods in acquiescence, ever the advisor.
Turning to Khelzad, he says "I feel we should preserve the more unique scrolls where possible, and use some of the trove to transcribe them later. But we have several copies of some. You should take these."
Madragar hands Khelzad three scrolls, one of Magic Missile one of Shocking Grasp and one of True Strike.
"That last is our only copy. Use it only if you have no other choice. I would fain see that preserved for both our futures."

Re: Pants up?
Pogar graciously accepts the Master crafted battleaxe. Feeling the leather bound grip and the evenly proportioned weight, Pogar is happy with his new acquisition.
Looking at the disarray, Pogar feels a slight pang of guilt for Theony and Chandra and what they might be facing. Feelign a sense of urgency, Pogar speaks up.
"This Iraagal is an other world creature, or at least now, so Im sure that he can either sense us or already knows we are here, so I think our surprise is gone. Regardless, we need to get in there and help Theony and Chandra, and we need be quick about it. The longer they weight, if they are not already dead, the worse it will be. We need to go now. Whos with me?" Pogar finishes and turns to walk towards the doors.

Re: Pants up?
Ulwe rummages through his pack and produces the scroll of Endurance.
He hands it over to Sangraal, with a raised eyebrow, but says nothing.
As the Yelmite asks for more, Ulwe says:
"Sangraal, this long day has seen all my powers sapped, save a couple of minor benedictions." (2 lvl 0 spells left)
As the ever headstrong and bold Pogar makes for the door, Ulwe calls out:
"Stonecrusher! ... I am with you!" He raises his spear in salute.
Before he goes in, he pulls out the second scroll of Endurance and casts it on himself.

Re: Pants up?
Draxim is figuring out how to open the doors, and being frantic to rescue the noble ladies, has only refrained at the mention of the threat of Irigaal's release into the world.
He asks the magically disguised dragonewt, "Can you do that trick with the silver, so that he won't get out when we go in?"
