Re: Road Trip
[Masterwork armor and weapons cost 300 gold + the normal price of the item. They can be sold for much less than that.]

[Now, how about the shortsword, the chain and the ring. The chain seems to be a popular item at the moment.]

Re: The Cairnhollow, Part VII
Eyeing the chain, Pogar hesitates for a moment, especially after hearing his cousins desire for the chain.

Softly, Pogar states "I also wish for the chain. As I am a fighter with an axe, I am also interested in the grinning sword. I have trained in sword play. If everyone feels that someone other than I to have the chain, I would take the sword".

Re: Road Trip
[Mike can speak for himself, but if he doesn't...]

Janes likes the look of the shortsword, but is also a little intimidated by the prospect of having to be that close to the enemy. If there would be more coinage coming his way if he did not lay claim to any of the magic items, Janes will step out and mollify himself with thoughts of rolling around in a bed of gold... with Theony.

Re: Road Trip
"Well spoken, Ulwe," says Madragar. "Such was the generosity of the elven kings of old."

In an aside to Draxim, Madragar replies to the earlier question. "Without a doubt you would return to your own form, Draxim. The power of the spell itself is minor. It is the marvelous combination of the two which makes the ring such a cunning work of the Art."

"Think of it...you are in trouble, chased by the guards of some Chaos Temple...you run and suddenly you disappear. A few moments later, the guards chance upon you but pass you by with little notice. Why? Because now you look like one of them. It is a subtle item for a subtle man...or dwarf."

Re: Road Trip
Atan holds up the arrow, "Would any one else like this? The ring also holds my interest, as a scout I can see many situations it would come in handy. But the arrow will certainly fit nicely in my quiver."

[Atan will take the arrow if no disagreements. The ring he will not push on if someone lays a single claim. If someone else comes up for multiple items he will ask for even odds for it (ie game of rock, leaf, knife)

Re: Road Trip
[It would seem that Pogar may lay claim to the shortsword if he likes. It's not a manly dwarvish weapon, but deadly just the same.

That would leave the ring and chain up to Draxim and Khelzhad, yes?

Janes is curious to know what additional share of the monetary treasure he can expect being the only one without a new magic toy to play with. He suggests a triple share, since permanent magic items are incredibly valuable and often unique.]

Re: Road Trip
"I'd take either the ring or the chain, but if you want the chain cousin, then I shall take the ring. Don't worry Atan, just ask me an' I'll share the ring with you. Subtlety is not what exacl'y what made me famous." He chortles.

Sangraal takes the offered javelin and politely nods his head.
" Jolla?" the name rolling off his tongue. " I new a girl, Aella, a daughter from the farmstead over from mine when I was growing up. She was a battler and blooded many boys twice her age. One time she threw a rock that knocked out Farmer Frydes son, broke his nose, we thought she killed him." Sangraal smiles warmly at the recolection of his childhood.

"Aella and Jolla - fitting names I think."

Re: Road Trip
"If none object, then I will take the sword. Each item is strong in its own right. Although the gleam in my eyes reaches for the chain, yet, I think others would benifit from it more than I". Pogar finishes as he picks up the sword and starts practicing standard swings of the sword and to grow more acquainted with his new toy.

Re: Road Trip
Janes backs away from the conversation about who gets what. So far as he's concerned he'll take whatever the heros want to give him, but doesn't really feel that any of it is rightfully his, and doesn't want to anyone to feel any obligation to give him anything.

"You take good care of my sister Joalla, I'll watch over your sweetheart Aella." Ulwe walks over to the Yelmite and claps him on the back, flashing a rare smile.

Khelzhad is amenable to this if Draxim is. Unless anyone object, make it so.

"It is done then. But what of Ruglan? We should reserve a set of that fine chainmail for him at the least. If he will have it. And Janes as well? What say you?"

[Is Silkreik's chain the same as the Duergar captain's? ]

"Aye Draxim, that'd be a fine prize for the Brooslayer. My prayers have been with him of late. I hope Urox sees him through."

Re: Road Trip
[Khelzhad is going for the Bling Bling look, I like it! Ahh too bad. I was hoping to have our Bard loaded down with gold and silver chains. The ring makes more sense for him, or rather the Magic Chain NECKLACE makes more sense for Draxim. ]

Re: Road Trip
[The chain is just a chain. I didn't know that when I had Madragar refer to it as 'chain' as short for 'chainmail'.]

"Janes fought beside us, and risked his blood and soul no less than any. A full share of treasure, certainly," opines Madragar. "And perhaps he and Ruglan will be first to choose when next fate smiles upon us?"

Re: Road Trip
Khelzhad ponders Silkreik's Chain and turns to Draxim:

"You tend to stand toe to toe against many more foes than I, friend. Let you take it, and I the ring.

And Janes, we would not have made it without you. We have our differences, aye, but your courage is undoubted. As the bond of the spilled blood of our enemies has united us, we will swear to repay our debt to you.

Companions, is it agreed?"

[assuming everyone will swear to pay Janes his share, speak up if your character does not]

[Just to be sure, we are talking of 1 full share with first dibbs on the next treasure, as aopposed to 3 full shares right? Either way Ulwe is cool with it ]
