Re: Theony's council
At Pogar's approach Janes huddles his shoulders and tries to control himself. He looks over at the dwarf with shinning eyes and sniffling slightly says, "I don't understand what's happened to me. All my family and friends are likely dead. I have a big pile of gold, but no idea what to do with it. I'm just an apprentice shipwrite. I never expected to see the things I've seen or do the things I've done."

Re: Theony's council
Ulwe nods reassuringly as Sangral retrieves the scroll. "Aye Dawn-Brother. It was my mind as well to try the scroll."

Ulwe kneels in prayer, asking Orlanth's compassion to see the Brooslayer through the darkness.

Ching, ching, ching in on this tragedy.
Atan graciously accepts a cup of wine, taking a stout drink as the others continue with the questioning of Theony. As the discussion spirals away from the Hyrugae he watchs in puzzled amusement at the flight of Janes from the scolding of Theony. "What a wake up.", he whispers to Madragar over his shoulder.

Standing to the side as Theony too departs, he quickly falls in behind her. Outside he stops her a few steps away from the tent, "Theony. What are your plans for the spring? I ask for I head west in the morning to see my village and will spread word of your endeavor. Before it comes time to till in the spring I will send what men that I can muster. They are Woodsmen, Elves and Rangers from a band known as the Merek Lek. In what numbers I do not know for we fought a large warband of Broo at Old Kurlew not a month ago. The battle badly turned against us and I believe the majority were slain. But those that survived I suspect will join in your expedition. If I can return I will be here as well."

"I am honored to have fought alongside you and your people who have sacrificed so much. You have my sorrow for the loss of your mother, may she bask in the light of Yelm."

Offering his hand, "You fight well and proud Warchief of the Hladra. If I see you not this evening, may I see you come spring. Farewell." Turning he ducks back into the tent where he grabs some food, takes a seat by the fire and finishes his drink.

Re: Theony's council
"Ah, Lad" Pogar says while gently putting his hand on Janes's shoulder. "I'll no lie to you and say that things will get better, cuz I know that they wont. But....They will seem to get better because you will become used to the things that you see and things that you do. I have ventured under the earth for many of your generations and seen many things that I would rather forget. You get used to it. Maybe your path lies with us, now, instead of Theony." Pogar finishes, scratching at his thick beard.

Re: Ching, ching, ching in on this tragedy.
Sangraal recites the brief prayer from the oaken slate, his hand limned in cool blue luminescence. Ruglan shudders violently for a moment, then sags back into the furs of his bed. He seems more restful, at least for the moment.

Back in the main tent, Theony smiles enigmatically at Atan then shambles off to sleep.
