Re: The Cairnhollow, Part VII
"Orlanth be praised!" exclaims Ulwe upon witnessing the miracle.
He immediatly heads to the unconscious ranger and begins to stir him.
"Open your eyes..." He says in Elven as he gently shakes Atan.
Turning to Madragar "It would seem that we are appearing where we last left off, as it were. I do not know the consequences of sharing the same space of another as they appear so we had better stand well clear."
As soon as Atan rises, or if he fails to, Ulwe will drag him into the main hall, awayu from the experiment room.

Re: The Cairnhollow, Part VII
Atan is out cold and for the moment cannot be awoken. As such he makes no complaint when dragged out of the room to lay amid a different pile of rubble.
A minute or two after Atan's arrival a sudden and rapid succession of green flashes reveal Khezhad, Janes, Pogar, Draxim and finally Kyethe, in that order, laying in different spots throughout the chamber. All are as unconscious as Atan, though none of them seem harmed in the slightest.

Re: The Cairnhollow, Part VII
"Ulwe" Sangraal shows the Orlanthian priest the spear he has been using as a walking stick. "Here you go, I found it amoung the rumble."
With the mysterious arrival of Atan Sangraal rushes over to the stricken elven archer and searchs him for any sign of physical wounds.
[OOC: If Atan is wounded Sangraal will cast cure light wounds upon him.]

Atan is unwounded, but the glassy look in his eyes seems to indicate his brain has been rattled like a bug in a jar.

[Is this spear the Iron Spear of Kurigalos? ]
[Yes. -GM]
Ulwe, along with Sangraal and Madragar set about making the unconscious party comfortable and waiting for them to stir.

Re: The Cairnhollow, Part VII
It takes as long as an hour for some of the unconscious folk to wake up. They are groggy and disoriented, but are otherwise unharmed.
None of them, however, have any recollection of what happened after the explosion.

Re: The Cairnhollow, Part VII
Draxim, unaware that there even was an explosion at first, thanks Ulwe and Sangraal for healing him, and then utters one of his usual to-the-point inquiries, while slaking the thirst of a long sleep.
"What happened?"
He then checks around and takes inventory of his possessions (those on his person anyway)
[I will just assume that someone fills him in. No need unless you want to roleplay it.]
[Yea, the newcomers get debriefed by Sangraal, who's been back longer than anyone else. -GM]

Upon coming to his senses, Pogar remembers seeing his cousin being flung across the room like a rag doll. As well as him dragging Draxim across the floor. Seeing his cousin, Pogar will give him a jovial hug, not saying anything.
After hearing the story from Sangraal, Pogar looks around.
"So, have we beaten Irigaal?" Pogar asks.

Re: The Cairnhollow, Part VII
"We cannot be sure. Yet his presence is no longer here in the Cairnhollow. The darkness bears testament to that. In my heart I hope that we have defeated him, though one so powerful as he may linger elsewhere. Yet let us rejoice and give thanks! Our foes are vanquished and we live that is enough for me."
Ulwe appears ecstatic, which if one were even a casual observer would appear a rare display of emotion.
"Sangraal Sun-priest, Would you do us the honor of leading a prayer of thanks-giving? You have studied the sun scrolls more than I, surely there is something appropriate."

Re: The Cairnhollow, Part VII
Sangraal seems preoccupied, even Ulwes comments on leading a prayer of thanks does little to bring him back.
"What if Ulwes errent Javelin" he face showing no trace of blame or anger " ....triggered a malfunction. What if, like the Theony and the villagers before us, we were put to sleep by the powerful spell that kept them all here."
"I do not pretend to know what this 'means' but purpose it as a theoryy as to the course of events that happened. Theony herself said she had seem the flames before in the note she left."

After bearing another brush with death, the closest that he has ever been... Pogar feels a little uncharacteristicly kind.
"I agree, Ulwe, we are alive and thanks to the gods for that".

Khelzhad looks around for Zulquerzarhen but the Emperor is nowhere to be found.
The bard then inspects the sarcophagus and finds its shattered into a thousand pieces, much like the rest of the apparatus.

Madragar strokes Kyethe's feathers and seems almost happy.
"Theony's note said she waited for us 'as long as she could'. I suggest that it has been some days at least since our battle. Possibly, the energies released by the orb have sent us forward in time. Not too terribly long, by the look of the scroll. A question to ponder is how Theony knew we would return."
"At any rate, since she also writes that she has secured our worldly goods and since I cannot think of a reason to remain here longer, I suggest that we shut up the fortress and seek her out."

Draxim considers the words of Sangraal and Madragar then looks at the rubble, scorch marks etc. to try to determine how long ago the wreckage was created. Draxim seems a bit subdued and preoccupied, even beyond what might be normal for his present situation.

Re: The Cairnhollow, Part VII
Draxim hasn't the foggiest notion how long ago the battle took place, but Atan (who has some skill in such matters) thinks it's been at least four or five days.

Pogar, using his stonecunning, will look around for any unsafe areas that should be avoided, on the way out.
Pogar will also look around, for unsusual formations of the rocks, when they fell from the explosion (as if to see if there would be rocks on top of a body).
"How did we all get here, after all, it does look like a lot of distruction, which I dont remember doing...."

"No, master dwarf, only some of that destruction was your doing," says Madragar. "'Twas the destruction of the Orb...and hopefully of Irigaal...that did it. How we returned hither unscathed is a mystery I think may dog us for many years, if the Lady Theony does not have the knowledge of it."
"Perhaps it was part of the function of Utama's orb to shunt us into the future. Yet perhaps the only answer can be found in the will of the good gods that we continue to do their work upon the earth. Therefore, say your prayers, Pogar, and be glad of the breath you take."

Re: The Cairnhollow, Part VII
"Four or five days, I think", he says breaking his silence for the first time. "Odd. Theony was in here with us. When the explosion happened." The ranger reaching uncounciously to his side to feel the skin he believed had been burned from his body.
"She knew where we were taken, yet it did not take her. She also assumed we would be gone for some time or else she would not have left. I guess to find food for her people, though she had shelter here."
'What of Mulgi? Ruglan?" Atan finally stops speaking aloud, he is obviuosly confused by the events and unable to draw a conclusion.
Agreeing whole heartedly upon hearing the suggestion to follow Theony. "Before we leave though we should take stock of our gear. We should search inside and out. I for one left many things outside and must look around to see if any is left."
"Umm, Draxim. Wasn't the emperor's coffin made of runetmetal? I don't know much about such things but I think the pieces alone would be a princely sum."
[Scott - I dropped my back pack and alot of gear outside at the start which included some of my winter clothing. Is any of it still there? Does he still have all his gear he was wearing during the fight? Atan will also search for the javelins and Chandra's bow in the experiment room after he convinces Sangraal to shed some light.]
[Atan checks with Draxim and Madragar on whether the pieces of the coffin would still be worth anything. If so he recommends that the party take as much as possible in the event we can't find Theony and our treasure and need to have some form of currency.]
