Re: Winter
Atan too bristles in embarassement at Ulwe's suggestion and appears ready to say something much more forceful to the Orlanth priest when Eumal beats him to it. Seeing that nothing is to be gained he returns to the matter at hand.

Listening to Madragar he nodds his head in acknowledgement, "Yes Mad, you are right. We all are hunted and it does us no good to give our movements and numbers to the enemy. I can assure you it won't happen." He leaves the request for discretion from the Merek Lek unspoken.

[Not waiting for anything. Each player can run off and do whatever they want, or stick around picking their noses. You might want to divide the treasure, though, before anyone goes tearing off into the great unknown.]

Madragar awaits Draxim's report. He'd be happy to check out the potions if Draxim told him there were potions to check out...

Winter is coming, the goose is getting fat...
Sangraal goes off to set up the purchese of horse and tack, though he obviously is starting on the bad end of negotations when he calls a mare a stallion ( and glosses over the fact that he calls a pack mule a foal).

"I am off to Dobrug at first light tommarow. From there I plan to make way to Thasvara. Draxim lets see what we can do about dividing up equal shares."

[OOC: Prepare to prepare! Sangraal is off for some down time for the winter. So if any of you guys want to go adventuring for a while have at it]

"Why Thasvara, Sangraal? Why not Dobrug itself? or Raven's Gate?"

Re: Winter
Departing from his vigil temporarily, Ulwe sets off to the market place to look for some Winter clothes, as well as some clean travelers clothes. While in the marketplace, he also seeks out a horse. Being flush with some cash and seeing an opportunity to acquire a steed, Ulwe sees what is available.

"Thasvara is home to the great Sun temple." Sangraal answers.
"I seek the counsel of the Dawn Triumverate*. I shall return to Gurgni's at the first thaw. If any wish to meet I will stay at Gurgni's for a week or two awaiting your arrival."

[OOC: You all have traveled with Sangraal enough to have put together the knowledge I posted in the general discussion section.

Impatience and wizardry...bad combination
[I'm going to assume that eventually, Draxim announces what he has counted.]

"I'll examine these substances to see if may divine their purpose," announces Madragar, stashing the potions in one of the many pockets lining his cloak.

"May I suggest that, whatever our travel plans, we begin by traveling together to Dobrug, the nearest city, to try to appraise and possibly sell these gems?"

Here, there, everywhere
[Either before he sets out from the shopping expedition, or after he returns... But in the private company of the party... ]

"Madragar, as ever your counsel is wise. We should all travel to Dobrug together. Though we are closer to civilized lands, that does not mean we are less imperiled. There are far more mundane threats to our persons and posessions which now confront us. Once in Dobrug, we may safely divide some of the Oxcart's goods."

"Though I do have some ideas about dividing the coinage now. First we must determine how many shares there are to be divided. I count nine shares, but I believe we should include Theony to make it ten shares. Total value of the Silver and Gold coins is 7352.8. Making each share (assuming Theony gets one) 735.28 We should pay Theony's share all in Silver. She will need the Silver coins to pay her men, and buy supplies for her people. That makes Theony's share 7352.8 Silver leaving our total at 6135.2 Silver and 6004 Gold. Each of us gets 667.1 Gold and 681.68 Silver. Is this plan acceptable for the division of the Coinage?

"As for myself, I will meet with the Synod to discuss all I have seen and done. Afterwards I shall then cloister myself within the Locamyrida to study with the Lore Masters."

Re: Impatience and wizardry...bad combination
"I agree with Ulwe's division," says Madragar. "And it is my hope that we can supplement it by the sale of the rest in Dobrug. Direct sales will make better profit, but may draw unwanted attention. Perhaps we can sell the more notable items through one of Dobrug's many merchants?"

[For those of us loathe to do EZ-board searches, where are the Synod and Locamyrida located?]

Re: Here, there, everywhere
Eumal continues his conversation with Atan as the others talk currency.

"My plan is to winter in this generous encampment, I think. We can patrol from here to the Cullwood, though you know as well as I that the broo rarely come north during the winter. We work for the young lady, at least for a while."

[If you want to purchase any simple gear in Val'waha, go ahead. Standard PHB prices.]

Ruglan responds well to Ulwe's prayers and is up and moving around before noon. He has no recollection of his possession or what happend afterward.

When she wakes up, Theony refuses the party's generous offer of a share of the treasure. She explains that she did not earn it, and besides that she looted the vault in the Fortress before leaving so is in no immediate need of gold. The legionnaires were well paid, it seems.

Re: Here, there, everywhere
[Again only spoken to party members:]

"I propose the 'tenth' share becomes a resource for party items."
Says Ulwe as they continue the discussion regarding the currency.

[The Locamyrida is the Temple of Orlanth in Dobrug. It is the largest templel to Orlanth in Moagara. It is a temple-complex housing may shrines and temples to the various cults. Orlanth Spear-Bearer, Orlanth Sea-Farer, and Orlanth Lightbringer are the largest cults, though there are many more. The Synod are a council of of the Wise from the many different cults of Orlanth. They meet in the Locamyrida.]

Re: Here, there, everywhere
Atan talks for a long time with the Merek Lek, pausing only to eat a few bites. When he finally pulls away with excuses of unfinished business its is late morning.

Sitting in on the discussion of treasure division, he agrees with everything Ulwe puts out, but scratchs his head and looks around at the others on how each member is to take 681.68 silver.

His only disagreement is for the share declined by Theony, "We are splitting up soon I suspect. With no group adventure planned we should divide the sum again amongst us. I know we each have our own plans for the winter and those extra coins may come in handy."

Re: Here, there, everywhere
Pogar comes into the tent, loudly and as graceful as a bull in a china shop. "Damned yellow," pausing for a moment, to remember the word, "sun.... I cant see a damned thing."

Once Pogar has acclimated his eyes from the transition from brightness that he has not seen before, to the dim of the tent, Pogar will find himself a seat. Seeing the group laughing and sharing stories with Atan, Pogar just nods and grabs some dried bread from his pack and chomps into the bread, crumbs caressing the dirty tunic, like a waterfall.

At the mention of the new way to divide the loot, Pogar shrugs his shoulders. His attention, at the table, is short lived when his ears pick up the russling of Ruglan.
"Is he up?" Pogar asks anyone in particular. But the question is more for him to make noise than anything else, because just as he asked the question, Pogar gets up and walks to where Ruglan is stirring. Putting the sword up against the bed, Pogar says "Its yours if you want it." And as quickly as he walked in, Pogar is out.

"What sort of expenses would such a group treasury cover?" asks Madragar. "And who would keep it safe? As to the latter question, I would suggest Draxim. Or better yet, Lyssa of the Skytower, if she will do it. But I wonder if we need such a fund at all?"

Ulwe approaches Theony (At some point) and asks her if she can recommend a good horse buyer. "I am not versed in the ways of these fine animals, though here seems to be the place to find a fine steed. I will need a well trained creature, brave and true. Do you know someone who would sell me such a horse?"
