Re: Here, there, everywhere
Theony smiles at Ulwe's question.

"Recall, priest, that I have not seen Val'waha for more than forty years prior to my arrival just a few days before you. I am a stranger here myself."

Madragar gives the four potions the alchemical once-over and concludes that three of them are magic potions: Bull Strength (5th level), Blur (4th level), and Invisibility (7th level). The fourth potion has, over the passage of time, lost its efficacy and is now useless.

Re: Here, there, everywhere
Ulwe smiles in return. "Indeed Theony. I shall fend for myself. If I learn anything, will gladly share it with you." Ulwe returns to the Markets looking for livestock with untrained eye.

-Any detrails of the horse market or do I just add a horse to my EQ list?-

[Roleplaying horse-trading doesn't sound like much fun. Just add it to your list. -GM]

[Oh come on! What about haggling, the looking at teeth and the smells? You could post the weird auction lingo and Ulwe scraches his head accidentally and winds up with a broke-back nag. Anyhoo I gotcha.]

[sorry I have been down for a while work is killing me lately. For those of you that don't know, the board ate my entire equipment list, so I am trying to recreate it now.]

Madragar announces his findings on the matter of the potions.

"I should like to retain the blur," he says.

I got a horsie!
Ulwe returns from the markets. He carries a bundle of new clothing and bedding. His worn-out boots have been replaced with newer, finer leather. A large heavy coat in the fashion of the Olmanii, with woven patterns in blue, sits upon Ulwe's shoulders. Fastened with his pin, a crisp clean blue woolen cloak lined with quilted cloth is flapping behind the Sea-priest.

But what is most notable is the grey mare that he leads. It stands just under sixteen hands. Its muzzle and legs are dark and the black mane and tail whip about in the cold winter winds. Outfitted in modest tack and saddle, the beast appears to have been been bought out from under its rider. She walks with dignified strides but bears some weariness betraying some years of servitude.

Being a sea-farer and not a horseman it is obvious to all that Ulwe has none of the skills the many horsemen in the tent-city have as second-nature. Still he is patient and kind with the old-girl and "Leisel" is used to being led around.

Ulwe checks about where to stable the horse with Theony, or whomever seems to be her aides-de-camp.

Afer seeing to the horse, Ulwe tosses his old clothes and bedding in the camp refuse. Laying down in new bedding and wearing clean clothes soon puts the sea-priest fast asleep.

Re: Here, there, everywhere
Shortly after Ulwes return Sangraal appears in camp with a large grey mare devoid of any distinguishing mark other then a large white circular patch on her left flank. The tack are of standard Olmani quality and Sangraal seems pleased with himself.

"Her name is Fujara-Hasee." Sangraal the notes, the Olmani langauge sounding harsh and broken" Olmani for White Sun"

Something is different.

Sangraal looks cleaner....

Having managed to find the only horsetrough/bathtub Sangraal paid for a hot bath and a new change of clothes.

Re: Dobrug
Khelzhad agrees to go to Dobrug, but would rather go on his own 2 feet rather than a pony's.

[can Dobrug be reached by foot before winter sets in?]

[Easily. You can check the map of Moagara in the World forum. -GM]

Re: Here, there, everywhere
Janes, upon seeing Sangral all cleaned up, perks up a little and wanders over to ask Sangraal about the location of the bath. He then tries to figure out who is in charge of the cash so he can get some money to get cleaned up, and maybe order some new clothes.

We'll always have Dobrug...
"I am going away for a time," says Madragar to anyone nearby. "But those who wish may seek me out at Dobrug in the Spring. You, master Khelzad, may wish to do so sooner, in perhaps a month? We have much to discuss and I would not deprive you of whatever arcane knowledge I have acquired."

"A word of warning. I know not what customs may prevail among the dwarves, but workers of the Art are seen as dangerous and evil by many among the Moagari. Therefore be circumspect with your powers among them. And refer to me not as a wizard, nor by name, for there are those who seek out Madragar of the Shadowwood with ill intent. Rather seek me out as Anorre, a travelling sage. I shall take rooms at some inn or boarding house and should not be difficult to find."

[Madragar returns the potions to Draxim for distribution, but keeps the potion of blur. He then packs up his gear, says his goodbyes and marches out to the village gates.]

Re: Here, there, everywhere
Watching the mage walk off into the distance Sangraal utters a prayer for good travel before turning back to the task packing.

White Sun snorts loudly in protest as Sangraal begins attaching weighted saddlebags. An Olmani horse bred for the open plains she stomps and shifts at the injustice of being demoted to pack mule.

Afterwards Sangraal goes around to each of his companions and bids them farewell.

To Ulwe he presents the sister Jolla. “Though our travels take us different ways, I can not part the sisters.” That being said Sangraal returns the Swan Maiden back to Ulwe.

“Till Yelm’s gaze does melt the winters snow. May you walk in the light” Mounting a very unhappy looking horse Sangraal looks over his shoulder towards his friends once more.
“Come spring I shall have a taste for pumpkinbread!” He says with a short smile as White Sun starts to canter. The pace quickly takes Sangraal out of view as he makes his way out of the makeshift town.

[OOC: Sangraal packs up and heads off. He also returns the magic javelin to Ulwe]

Re: We'll always have Dobrug...
Pogar tenses up a little, when seeing the dust fly up and coming towards him. Noting that it is a friend, Pogar will smile and wave as Sangraal and his newly acquired horse, unhappily, saunter buy. Pogar will enter into camp looking slightly different, if you actually look at him for a moment. His skin looks paler, as though crusts of dirt have peeled away. His hair seems wild, as though it has its own mind. Other than that, Pogar doesnt seem that different. Pogar, you can see, has been to town and spent some of his money. You notice a new leather belt, with pouches in it. The four pouches are occupied by some vial.
"Acid" he explains when questioned. "Splodes when the vial breaks". There is a definate grin when he finishes his explination. Once thats done, Pogar will ask around the camp, if there is anything he can do. Its obvious that he plans on staying as long as they will let him.

Re: Here, there, everywhere
The elven ranger has been busy as well at the market, his back pack much lighter. He holds a beutiful Olmanii recruve as if it be a newborn. The work is off the finest manufacture and the horn practically shines. He has replaced just about all of his burned and hacked gear and his poncho has been repaired, but still looks pretty rough.

Atan takes the time to seek out each member of the party to say goodbye. "I plan to return to my village. My family will surely of heard of our defeat at Old Kurlew and assume I am among the missing. I will return here though. A week, maybe two. The Cullwood and Upper Nral will still need watching until the heaviest of snows fall. If I can, I will seek you out come spring. If you don't see me, know I will be with Theony in the Valley."

Throwing on his backpack he heads out of the village. Meeting up with Madragar by the gate he talks to him for a momment before the two set off.

Re: Here, there, everywhere
[Not sure of the timeline but...]

Ulwe enlists the help of some of Theony's Olmanni guardsmen to saddle up Leisel. Then he in turn informs the party members that he can be found in the Locamyrida. Come spring he shall seek out those who have wintered in Dobrug. He tells those that wish, they are welcome to enter the temple complex at any time.

"If the Dwarves would tolerate my company a few days more, I'd be happy to travel to Dobrug with the Ghuraskalli and Draxim."

Then he waits patiently, ready to head out leading Leisel by her bridle.

Upon hearing Ulwe's offer of traveling with him, the adventerous spirit within him perks up. "If you can tollerate the slower pace, I would like to join". Pogar says to Ulwe.

Re: Here, there, everywhere
As safely as he can, Ulwe leans in to Pogar to confide: "I do not plan on riding yon beast too much. Methinks she will carry my pack more often than me."

"Speaking of beasts of burden, perhaps a mule would be a better pack animal than Draxim. It hurts my back just looking at the weight he bears. What say we purchase him a mule as a gift? If ever so short a journey to Dobrug, a mule would make it easier for our friend."

"Where's Dobrug?"

Re: Here, there, everywhere
Looking at Draxim, Pogar pats him, heartily in the back.
"He's young" Pogar laughs, knowing that Draxim is only but a few years younger than he, but the battle scars and the hardier life underground ages one a bit.

Finishing his good natured joke, feeling good and excited about seeing things that he never thought existed and even things that he has heard through storys, as a younger dwarf. Pogar chides Draxim a moment, but quickly helps the younger dwarf with the burden.

"No need to burden no beast, when there are dwarfs around."

"I think I will head straight to Dobrug if any are of a mind to join me. I would dearly like to see the Watermel as it's something that I have heard about since I was a wee lad."

Ruglan goes in search of a horse. "Ah, to be able to ride again," he says. "Perhaps, when I return, someone can tell me what has happened since I fell ill?"
