Re: Dobrug
"I could Sage. It is 60 miles or so as the crow, but weather turns milder and wetter. Give it two, no, three days to reach Thasavara. But I think the brash Pogar has the right idea. Naredru is here, and Yashai is as well. Those two should not come together."
"First tell me how you all have come to know of Yashai and her desire for the stones?"

Re: Dobrug
"A ship could make it to Thasvara and back in 3 days." Says Ulwe, repeating the idea to fetch Sangraal by sea, rather than land.
"But I like Finith's idea better. Let us find Naredru first, then I shall make haste to Thasvara. Perhaps Khelzhad will join me?"

Re: Dobrug
"What about the writing on the crown? Was that deciphered?", he asks Madragar.
Listening in on Ulwe he turns and offers, "Maybe the Grovewardens would like the task of warning Sangraal? I don't think the liked the idea of spending much time here. Besides, most of us have seen Naredru before and would likely recognize him."

Re: Dobrug
"Finith, Domun and Erithwen have tracked Naredru for days. Naredru killed Lyssa. Could you ask them to depart and run an errand for us to find a wayward Yelmite? I would not ask that of them. Besides, they are very accomplished trackers."
Ulwe shakes his head. "It is a good idea, and one which logically makes sense. Yet logic is not what rules those two at the moment. I do not think they would tear themselves away from their quarry now they are so close."
"I have faith that Sangraal's will is strong enough to resist whatever darkness lurks within the scrolls of Irian Aros for the time being. We must warn him and reunite the Company, but let us do this after Naredru is caught."
"For what it is worth, we could send a written message with the next ship bound for Thasvara."

"The writing was never translated," responds Madragar. "But we did copy it down, in case we are ever able to translate it."

Re: Dobrug
"Did we learn what language the writing was in? I have been working with the Olmani and have picked up some of their language. Maybe I can decipher it?" Atan looks about for whomever transcribed the crown's symbols.
[The writing on the crown wasn't Olmani. Anyone would have recognized that instantly. It is no language that anyone in the party recognizes. -GM]

Re: Dobrug
Khelzhad will also go out to canvass the inns this eve, based on the description provided by Ulwe and the Grovewardens. To help draw out the hidden elf, the bard spins a tale in each inn that he visits and in the tale, the hero is possessed after discovering an ancient stone strange circle and arrow markings. If he is unsuccessful by the time the common rooms begin to clear out, he will return home as he needs to report for Olmani training early the next day.

Re: Dobrug
Ulwe does not wish to go back to the Locamyridra this eve. He prefers the company of the Company. He will stay as late as the last person to go home or off to bed. Ulwe tricks himself into thinking he needs to be available to comfort his flock, when in reality it is he who finds solace in the presence of friends.

Re: Dobrug
Atan offers to Khlezhad before he departs, "I know you can't get at the honey with out kicking up the bees but be careful. Yashai may not like what she perceives as competitors if word gets around. Naredu may react strongly as well. He has already murdered once for a stone and may come snooping."
Relaxing back in his chair, enjoying the brew and the company. Talking aloud, "Yashai is a big unknown, the feeling amongst the Olamni is she is wild card but her quest for the stones moves her into the "not friend" category for me. We should research more about the crown so we can learn what we have started. I would think the Locamyrida may be a good place to try to decipher the crown rubbings, or maybe you Anorre have a suggestion?"
"Oh, Ulwe. I brought this for you." Atan reaches into his back pack and pulls a sack of coins out. "I have so much silver I am giving half to you for your holy water ".(600 silver)
[Sound like a plan? Ruglan offer the townguard a reward for Naredu (Atan offers his proceeds from the crown sale), Khelzhad work the taverns, Ulwe or Madragar do some reasearch on the crown rubbings. Atan will go out and catch up with Khelzhad, the two of them speaking Olmani, buying drinks and such may loosen some toungues on Naredu.]

Re: Dobrug
Taken aback at the generous offer, Ulwe at first protests, but then accepts. "Thanks Finith. I'll make some Holy Water tomorrow." Then Ulwe shakes his head ruefully. "I have already shown the markings to wiser and older priests at the Locamyridra. To them it is the same as to me: indeciferable."
Shaking the large pouch of coins, Ulwe leans in to Atan conspiratorially: "You know, you are probably a lot more wealthy than you think. There were many gems and some jewelry as well as the crown which Draxim sold for us. Your share should be around here somewhere."

Re: Dobrug
When morning comes the group reconvenes for a continental breakfast at Janes' place... porridge, goat's milk and suet. The street outside is thick with fog and the whole town lays silent and still save for a few creaking wagons bearing bundles of kindling.
Pogar describes a long night lurking around the house of the Lioness. There are many buildings near the house, he says, such that they form a kind of complex. Two large barracks stand nearby, and more than a few of the kuralitai guard the streets. Pogar admits, however, that he saw no sign of any elves.
Atan and Khelzhad had somewhat better luck. Two brothers from the Kulbrae tribe, homeless in the Zesh, were more than happy to spill their guts for a hot meal. They said they were stacking lumber in a warehouse north of the Lioness' house when they saw a man or elf ride in haste to a shop across the street. The shopkeeper, a man named Uruul that is known to work for Yashai, confronted the stranger outside and there were many harsh words spoken. The language was unknown to the two Kulbrae brothers, but it wasn't Lunar, Olmani or Moagaran. Soon, they say, the stranger was surrounded by the kuralitai and taken into the shop.
The incident would not be extraordinary except, so the two brothers say, the stranger's horse vanished into thin air a few minutes later. After further interrogation the tribesmen reveal that the stranger was several inches taller than the kuralitai, and had a cloak not dissimilar from those worn by Erithwen and Domun.
That was three days ago.

Re: Dobrug
"What kind o shop is it?" Pogar asks. "It is plain as the nose on my face, that someone needs to be watching that shop. I've spent the night there, so I dont know if I would be a proper person to be doing the snooping. Id be happy to come along as muscle, but for me to be asking the questions, might be strange to them folk."

"Stay back for now, cousin. The human merchants are easily intimidated and therefore have their guard. Better to gather up the gear in case we have to move out. Atan and I will visit him immediately, but the information may cost us - have we any baubles to trade?"

Re: Dobrug
At first light, Ulwe makes haste for the docks, and inquires about any ships heading to Thasvara.
He quickly scribbles a note to Sangraal and looks for a suitable messenger.

Re: Dobrug
Ulwe finds a delegation of priests heading from the Locamyrida to the Aighurval, great temple of Yelm in Thasvara. They'll deliver it for free, once the seas calm down enough for safe travel by galley.

Re: Dobrug
[Flash back to the night before: Atan will ask for more information on where the Kuraliti came from? Where the close by and came to the noise of altercation or did they suddenly appear? What does the store sell, what is the name of the store, did the shopkeep live above the store, does he have a family?]
"Good idea Khel.", chimes in Atan, truncating the dwarf's name in the same fashion that so bothers Madragar.
"Most likely the rider was Naredru. Besides the disappearing horse, the language that was spoken was probably elvish. Lets learn more about the shop keeper before we investigate the store. Ruglan, can you ask your friends in the guard about this shopowner? Find out as much as you can about his history, where he lives, what he sells, and so on. Khel and Pogar can do some reconaissance in the shop, get the layout, the alleys, see if any strange activity takes place on the shops block, but don't ask any questions of the owner until we see if we can learn what his connection is. We don't want to spook him. I would go with you but Naredru will be suspicous of elves and he may or may not remember me."

Re: Dobrug
"Well, I was in that area last night and nothing of note really happened. If yer wantin' I could go back n continue to play the homeless dwarf. Tryin to keep an eye out on things. By my thinkin, cousin, it might be best if we went seperate, if we go at all. I think that they would be wonderin what a dwarf is doing there, even homeless, however one night one, then the next night, two? It might bring unwanted eyes to us." Pogar says.
