Re: Dobrug, Part II
[Khelzhad's spell will be close to its expiration by the time the group gets back to Uruul's shop. In any case he can only take a single form with Change Self. Finally, that spell gives a bonus to Disguise, but is no substitute for actually having the skill - which Khelzhad does not.]

Atan amends the plan.
"Either Draxim, who will be invisible, goes in alone, or we can recon it in force."

Re: Dobrug, Part II
"Draxim can reconnoiter whilst invisible in the tunnel. We will be nearby in the relative safety of the shop, if he needs help."
Adds Ulwe as he steps out of the warehouse last, keeping himself between Uruul and Pogar, fearing the bloodlust of the Dwarf.

Re: Dobrug, Part II
Grabbing Ulwe by the shoulder and pulling him close Pogar says, "I never had any intention on killing him. I was just trying to scare him into talking. I didnt see anything else that was possible. What we were trying with him didnt work. My plan didnt work. Lets move on."
With that Pogar releases Ulwe and moves to exit the door, waiting for the rest of the group.

Leaving Ruglan to guard the prisioner, Atan begins to move the group to the shop.
"Its raining and dark so there won't be many on the street, also having your hood up on your cloaks won't be suspecious, lets move quickly to Uruuls house."

Re: Dobrug, Part II
[I'd like some confirmation from the other players that they're willing to go along with this before we continue.
Khelzhad? Madragar? Draxim? Janes?]

Re: Dobrug, Part II
Though slightly frustrated with the combination of rashness and indecision between the Companions Khelzhad will join the plan.

Re: Dobrug, Part II
Madragar moves where he is out of Uruul's line of sight and lets the Levitate and Change Self spells end. They will run out in minutes and he doesn't want them to expire in public. Darkvision will continue to function for more than three more hours.
"I have grave misgivings about this course of action. We have no certain knowledge that Naredru is with Yashai. Even if he is, an infiltration of the Lioness' lair cannot end but with bloodshed. Assuming we survive (and I do not think that overly likely), we must either find damning evidence against her, sufficient to have the Swordelders take a hand, or we will never be able to show our faces in Dobrug again."
"What is our purpose? Vengeance for Lyssa? No one desires that more than I. But would patience not serve us as well? Rushing into the unknown without even knowing whether our quarry is present seems most unwise. We should wait - Naredru will show his face again."
"Ulwe, can you ask the god for an augury?"

"Well, that might be so if they catch us, but I don't intend to get caught now do I? Sure I'll go an' poke around if ya want. I'm a little worried about goin' back there though. If they know he's gone by now, they could be layin' fer us."

Re: Dobrug, Part II
[OOC: To add to our troubles I just realized that "Atan" just blew Khelzhad's cover a few posts back. Perhaps we smooth criminals should stick to demon slaying, eh? ;-)]
"I will scout."
Khelzhad/Odan goes out once more into the cold, rainy night, heading south. He approaches the shop from the back, on the side with the alley access. Slowly but not suspiciously, he listens for any commotion. After surveying the alley and back door, he will proceed to the front corner of the shop and takes a peek at the main street.

Re: Dobrug, Part II
Janes follows allow behind Kehlzad muttering quitely to himself and shaking his head. Sounds something like, "Never let a priest plan a job, bound to go straight to hell it is, straight to the ashy pits of hell."

Re: Dobrug, Part II
With the rest of the group waiting a short distance away, Khelzhad and Janes approach Uruul's shop then move around the south side of the block. They creep down the dead-end alleyway leading to the courtyard that Pogar observed was a significant outpost for the kuralitai. There they find several wooden benches and the detritus of the Olmani guards spending long, boring hours in the alley. Thankfully Khelzhad and Janes don't encounter any of them, though the bard's disguise fades away just as they reach the back door of Uruul's shop. It's locked.
Minutes later the companions are hustling through the front door of Uruul's house. Safely inside they gather around the trap door leading to the tunnel below.

Re: Dobrug, Part II
[In the 1st level of the shop there are: stairs going up, a back door a front door and a trapdoor leading down yes?]
[Yes. -GM]
Ulwe makes sure both doors are barred. Then with expectant eyes looks to Draxim to infiltrate the tunnel with the aid of a potion of invisibility.

Re: Dobrug, Part II
Draxim, unlimbers any clanky equipment. He then motions the rest of the party to shush and listens at the trap door.
[Does wearing a chain shirt give a penalty on move silently? If so he ditches the chain as well]
[It does, slightly. Draxim listens and hears nothing. -GM]
Draxim starts to remove his chainmail then has a sudden thought.
"Did you say there were some chests upstairs? P'raps we should look there first in case I have to book out o' the tunnel, an' we don't get the chance later."
Draxim heads upstairs (quietly) and begins to examine the large chests.

Re: Dobrug, Part II
Draxim, leaving the companions gaping at his sudden sidetrack, looks over two chests upstairs. Both are locked, though a key was not found on Uruul's person.

[BTW, what happened to Uruul's lantern?]
[It's sitting at Khelzhad's feet, covered by a cloth near the trapdoor. -GM]
