Re: Dobrug, Part II
WHAM!
The back door of the shop flies open, nearly crushing Madragar against the planks of the wall. Hovering amid a pile of crumpled kuralitai bodies, the two wind creatures glide into the room, baleful, glowing eyes set within the swirling mist and vapor of their bodies. The many candles and lanterns strewn about the place are instantly extinguished in the sudden rush of air, and bits of tattered parchment fly about.
The two man-sized apparitions take only a moment to survey the momentarily stunned companions before lurching forward with incredible swiftness. Draxim, Atan and Janes manage to raise their weapons in readiness to fend off the creatures, but the two tiny storms fly past them to dive down the trap door into the tunnel below. A moment later a third creature enters the room from the courtyard and joins its fellows in the subterranean tube.
The wind from outside the shop decreases noticably, and the courtyard grows quiet and still except for the soft patter of rain.

Re: Dobrug, Part II
"Be it the Great Lord of the Seas or some friendly wizard, I care not," says Madragar, rubbing his bruised nose. "We have a momentary advantage in our enemy's disarray, the like of which shall not come our way again. We must hurry to reap its rewards while they are still ripe."
He rushes to follow the chaotic winds into the tunnel. "For Moagara! For Hroldi!"

Re: Dobrug, Part II
"Seems the wind has its own agenda."
Atan jumps down into the tunnel to follow up behind the three magical allies.

Re: Dobrug, Part II
With Atan and Madragar in the lead, the group follows after the three creatures. Once out of the radius of Atan's light source, the apparitions become nearly invisible. That is, until a few seconds later when they encounter the mass of kuralitai warriors skulking along some two hundred feet away. The screams of the tribesmen are horrible in the narrow passage. Kuralitai are thrown about the tube like bugs in a jar, their bones snapping, weapons clattering, and their terrified howls echoing down the long tunnel.
It takes about thirty seconds for the companions to reach the scene of the massacre. Almost twenty of the proud Olmani warriors lay broken and dead along the length of the tunnel, though it seems that the three wind creatures have moved on ahead.

Not being a creature that is fond of magic, Pogar stays near the back of the group.
"It appears that they are friends of ours, yet we should be very cautious at what they do. Dont follow too closely." Pogar advises

Whats wrong with running?
Janes looks at Pogar and sighs then says, "What's wrong with running? I don't see any good reason to chase demonic wind creatures down a tunnel after another spawn of chaos. I say we get the hell out of here and grab a drink. I know I could use one."

Re: Whats wrong with running?
"Ther'll be plenty o' drinkin to be done when the bloods finally spill'd. These here winds are taking us somewhere, which I find odd, but I want to get the crown back, and maybe more o' this yashai's collection off her hands. She dont deserve it. Its all to do with chaos, an she has proved herself a friend of chaos, so she dont be needing these artifacts." Pogar says chuckling at first, then quickly turning serious. "Yer doin fine lad. Once you can look death in its face, and laugh. You know you've had enough"

"As for me the quest is still at hand, and a task has been added. Did you hear how she mocked us for selling the Crown of the Rhusai? Obviously it was worth more than even the large sum we received from her. As a keeper of lore, I should have realized this but I was blinded by the prospect of wealth. The mistake will not be repeated! I shall do all I can to recover the crown from the shadow-witch!"

Re: Whats wrong with running?
Madragar rushes on, heedless of the devastated enemy or of the debates behind him. Before him lies mystery and the hope of answers. Not to mention the possibility of defeating Yashai, who will surely hunt them all down in detail if they do not destroy her/it first.
Any other direction is unthinkable. However, a short pause to ward himself from arrows is not...

"This has been a cockup from eggs to apples. I can only see it going down the thunder bowl more than it already has." Even after all his moaning and groaning Janes still heads down the tunnel with everyone else.

"Something within me said no, as well. However, I believe we all were blinded with the gold. After it was gone, I felt we made a mistake. We're here to fix the mistake and Yashai is on the run!!"
Pogar finishes in an empathetic yell as he picks up his pace.

"Ouch," says Draxim succinctley staring at the remnants of a shredded Olmani, while rubbing . "I hope they are freinds indeed!" he rubs his sore calf before limping off with the rest of the company.

Re: Whats wrong with running? everything
Ulwe racks his brains for mentions of whirlwinds from the various scrolls and tomes he studied in the temple libraries of the Ossenian and the Locamyrida. [Religion Check +7]
"These spirits of wind destroyed our enemies and spared us. Madragar is correct as usual. This opportunity must be seized. Not to worry If we all perish this night Janes, it will be in service to the Gods. No other death is more worthy." says the priest to the bartender. "We shall join with Orlanth,Yelm, and the Lightbringers for the final battle at the end of time."

"And Urox! Don't forget the Storm Bull," chastises Draxim huffing to catch up with his longer legged companions.

Silence
The group hustles along the tunnel, Janes and Draxim's wounds still oozing blood, for another half minute before coming to the three way intersection. There is no sign of the three wind creatures, nor any kuralitai. The iron reinforced door to the southeast is closed. The passage to the northeast is empty.
Atan raises a hand, indicating his need for silence. Then, after listening carefully for a few seconds, shakes his head. Nothing.

Re: Silence
[anything on that religion check?]
Ulwe, feeble from Yashai's corruption, points his spear shakily towards the as yet unexplored passageway.

Re: Silence
A subtle movement of the air, no more than a light breeze wafting through the tunnel from the west, breathes a few words into Ulwe's ear. Though not much more than a whisper, the companions all hear them quite clearly. The voice is that of an old man, trembling though wise and confident.
"Rest, young Ulwe, and halt your charge so that we may join you."

Re: Silence
"Brae the Diviner!" exclaims Ulwe, his heart and hopes raised by such an esteemed ally. Taking the words quite literally, Ulwe slumps against the stone wall and sits on the floor.

Re: Silence
Pogar will stand guard, still not trusting, but a little bit more relaxed in his posture.
