Off we go...
[Sorry]

"I'll go first Pogar", then in dwarvish - I prefer your lethal axe and breath at my back brother he claps him on the shoulder to make sure the tempermental Ghuruskali will understand that he is merely teasing, then heads off down the hall carefully searching for unusual nooks and crannies amongst the architecture that could signal a pitfall or worse.

[OOC: Looks good to me.]

"Move to engage her as quickly as possible. She'll want to utilize her dark arts so its best to be in her face."

Re: Off we go...
Draxim moves into the hallway and quickly spots two doorways on the other side of the hall, and a turn in the corridor to his left.

Re: Off we go...
Draxim steps 5 feet east to listen at that door for signs of movement beyond. He cock his head to the west indicating that someone should do likewise on the other door.

Re: Off we go...
Atan glides over the the western door while Draxim listens to the east. Other than the breathing and fidgeting of the companions, no sounds can be heard.

Re: Off we go...
... a short corridor, maybe twenty feet long, with a single closed door at the far end.

Re: Off we go...
The door doesn't appear to be trapped, and although it is unlocked (Draxim can turn the handle) it is stuck shut - probably due to the hinges being rusted to immobility.

Re: Off we go...
"This door hasn't been used in a while ", says Draxim shaking his head.

He wanders back to the other door and checks it in a similar fashion. If he finds similar results he suggests moving on. "The only way to open these is going to be to make a ruckus, and I don't want to do that just yet."

Re: Off we go...
Before walking back to the group, Pogar will check the walls for those inscriptions. Whether or not he sees them he will go back to the group and inform them of what he saw.

Re: Off we go...
"Yashai, as he have seen, can move through walls as easily as air. The door seems undisturbed, yet we cannot be certain she has not gone through it." Says Ulwe. To which he adds, "Though whichever door the elf tracks led would be the best guess."

He looks expectantly at Atan the skilled ranger.

Re: Off we go...
With the aid of his dwarvish darkvision, Khelzhad keeps rearguard for the warband. As they shuffle though the dusty catacombs, he contemplates the words of Ulwe and Brae about the Xorn - some forgotten spawn of chaos that bleeds black as the Duergar. "Blasphemous filth!", he thinks to himself as he grits his teeth recalling the horror of the worm.

Re: Off we go...
Atan steps forward and inspects the tracks, although the dwarves have thoroughly mangled them with their stomping about. The only recognizable trail leads directly to the door at the end of the corridor.

As with previous portals, Draxim procedes with caution. First listening, then carefully inspecting the door, he concludes that it is safe and open.

Continuing their advance through the catacombs, the group enters a small gallery with a high ceiling - nearly twenty feet. Both sides of the chamber are lined with numerous horizontal niches, each bearing the corpse of a long dead Lunar soldier or citizen. The niches extend upward almost to the ceiling.

A single door in the southwest corner (again, carefully inspected by Draxim) opens into an antechamber of the gallery that appears to be a Lunar shrine. In an alcove to the east a squat, bat-like altar stands, its anthropomorphic visage stained crimson with old paint, or blood. Other than a few scraps of cloth the chamber is empty.

The tracks lead directly to a door to the south. Draxim approaches but stops short about five feet away when he hears a slight creaking sound coming from the portal. Motioning for silence he listens again (really, everyone listens). The door continues to softly pop and creak, intermittently and randomly every ten seconds or so. Draxim imagines that it is like listening to someone stand on an old wooden floor.

Atan careful not to touch the alter goes over and inspects it.

Re: Off we go...
Janes stays in the other room and using one of the alcoves for cover keeps an eye (and a crossbow) on our backs.

Re: Dobrug, Part III
To Atan's eyes, the shrine is just an ugly statue. The squat man-bat thing glares without emotion, its wings wrapped around its legs, hands folded across its stomach. A small bowl is cut into the stone at its feet, though the depression is empty.

[Those aren't alcoves in the gallery, but niches containing corpses.]
