Re: Back at the Tavern

I dont care.

Pogar, though frustrated in feeling that he was pulled out for nothing, accepts that as the fates that were bestowed upon him at the time. Thinking to himself, maybe it saved him from some type of danger. Regardless, Pogar is begining to feel restless and is eager to move on with this adventure.

"It is time to move on, lads, and Im eager to go. Let us go now" Pogar grumbles

Re: Stately Wayne Manor.....
[Is there anything else besides the rune metal that needs to be divided? That was many real-time months ago...]

Khelzhad agrees with the compensation for Sangraal.

Re: Stately Wayne Manor.....
"I would'na know what to do with the magic metal, but I would surely love to see whatever it is you do do with it when you do. The secrets of shaping runemetal are not well known at all. Take it if you think you can use it in our fight against the hordes of festering fetid chaos then it will be a gift and a share for us all!"

Re: Stately Wayne Manor.....
"Sure Sangraal, take the runemetal."

Ulwe makes some last minute inventories of his gear before getting ready to head to the Kelp Canary.

[ooc: What is left to do in town? Let's go a sailin! Wasn't ATan and Janes going to head north to Theony?]

Sangraal regards Draxims words and greets his friend with a friendly slap on the shoulder
"Nor do I! But it is a mystery I wish to one day unlock."

Re: Stately Wayne Manor.....
"If any have wish to secure vaulables that do not readily float this chest you see on that table is to be bound and sealed. Then it will depart in the morning to Thasvara were it will reside till retrieved." The Sun priest indicates the iron bound trunk on the table.

" I will arranged for it to be carried by the next caravan under the eyes of Yelms followers and will be delivered to the Brotherhood for safe keeping."

[OOC: Sangraal puts the runemetal, Brother Elirs evil mace and 400 gp into the chest along with anything else anyone wishes to keep safe. Locks it with his metal lock and seals it with wax. Lastly he presses the signet ring into the cooling wax leaving the symbol of a sun upon the wax seal.]

How's that coming?
Ulwe suddenly looks as if he was hit by a bolt. He sits upright and smacks his palm on his forehead. Then he says: "I nearly forgot! I hope you did not forget also my friend." He says as he too slaps Draxim on his back. "Old friend whatever became of the jewlry you were crafting? The Pearls and Opal? Did you ever make anything to sell?"

[2 small Pearls: from 1st duergar priestess, Black Opal Ring: found on skellaton with burned plant 'Leave the pearls and Black opal out of your calculations - Draxim is turning those into something more valuable.' What ever became of these things? ]

To seasickness!
Sangraal spends the morning in preperation for the trip. His dislike of boats, which Draxim, Atan and others remember from thier trip to Tunlura, is due to Sangraals natural ability to sink like a stone. Devote even at a young age Sangraal had forgone playing in the river as a child and instead spent most of his time in prayer.

Nervously Sangraal secures the straps to his pack and checks the weight, he hefts it up with an arm and deciding it is to heavy set it down removes a couple items and begins the whole process over again. Eventually the sun priest comes to the conclusion that if he goes overboard the wieght of his pack is the least of his worries and repacks everything for one last time (including the items he had removed) and settles down to wait.

One interesting note is the dissapperence of Sangraals familiar plumed lunar helmet in its place is a leather cap that falls down to just above the shoulders, the brow of which is crowned in metal studs. A distinct departure from Sangraals previous helmet its origin is quickly presumed to the same munitions closet that Sangraal initially drew forth his lunar crested helm.

[OOC: Ready when you guys are.]

Re: How's that coming?
As the group prepares themselves for the adventures, Pogar sits and waits patiently. Remembering the time, when Pogar was a much younger dwarf, preparing for his first patrol outside of his homelands. The elder dwarfs, checking and re-checking their packs, verifying that their armor was strapped on correctly. All the while, Pogar, being young and impatient, an uncharacteristic trait of the normally patient dwarves, eager to move on and see the underdark.
Noting the uneasyness that Sangraal has about the prospect of traveling on water, Pogar smiles to himself. Pogar, removes his pack and with a loud thud, sets it on the ground so that he can get more comfortable waiting for the others to prepare themselves.
Pogar prepares himself, with a large mug of mead.

[Pogar is ready]

Re: To seasickness!
Khelzhad puts the final ties on his packs and is ready to go. He knows that if the boat fails he will sink like lead with his thick chainmail hauberk, but since "swimming" is an unknown word in Ghuraskalli, he places his faith in the Sea King to carry him or take him at his will.

Re: How's that coming?
Ulwe's sea pack is overfilled. He stands anxiously near the door. While the group assembles and mills about in the downstairs of Janes Tavern, ulwe frequently reminds them that "Tide waits for no man."

Re: How's that coming?
[There was talk of Janes and Atan heading south. As I understand it Atan is en route to San Diego so once we get word from those two we can continue.

I've changed my mind. I don't think I have the focus or creative juice to run two parties at once, at least not for a prolonged period of time. I'd rather have one good campaign than two adequate ones.

Janes and Atan can leave the main group but they'll be stepping out of the story indefinitely.]

To sea!
In the solemn hours before departure, Khelzhad eases the time with a song for the occasion in the low and steady Ghuraskalli style:

"Far from my mountain home I've come
tho fire, ice and earth beset
our course yet steered by the sun
to the foe that must be met

In the tale to each thy part
to remain a memory
set thy role within thy heart
and the bards may one day sing of thee

To sea we go, strong of faith
no time to rally distant kin
shadows of the past awake
now to challenge Yelm's children

We pray the wind will steer us true
and the water bear us hence
may the seams be tight and the beams well fit
and the stars shine brightly overhead

To war we go, once more to war
Companions we must go
across the sea to distant lands
Away we go, lads go!"

Re: How's that coming?
[My assumption was that the pearls and opal had been sold and rolled into one of the distributions of treasure from earlier. This would have been back when I disappeared for a while and lost my equipment sheet.]
