Re: my what large teeth you have....
[Has Sekastia already assigned human names for the Dagger or do we need to choose them?]

[You'll need to choose them, though who's to say that Nryl and Tagh aren't common Ertrani names? -GM]

Khelzhad thinks back to his training with Master Threyar and tries to remember any songs that tell of the Moagari migration.

[Bardic Knowledge + 3]

[During the past winter, Khelzhad spent some time listening and learning about the many stories and songs that relate to the ancestry of the Moagari. However, much knowledge seems to have been lost of the days before the Moagari came to where they now dwell. Khelzhad can't recall any story relating specifically to the Moagaran migration. -GM]

"The gifts are for them," replies Amanos, as if that explains all.

Re: my what large teeth you have....
Nryl replies, "Its "their" currency, to which the amount I know not, nor do I know or understand their need for such things" he says while shaking his head.

"But, Amanos, this "warden" is not who we seek. This gift is for the king and his queen, no one else. I fear that these humans may try to take this gift as their own. I pray, for their sakes, that this does not happen. I fear they may try to use any means necessary to take what is not rightfully theirs" he finishes with a sigh as he looks at the tents growing larger as they move closer to them.

Re: my what large teeth you have....
"Speak no more of the gifts." Says Sekestia.

"Let us meet with the Wardens and gain an audience with the Moagari chieftain."

"Disciples, The Xorn may be present either in disguise as we are, or as agents of their will. Our names will be shed like old skin, and new identities with our new bodies will take their place."

"Chose a name in the Moagari tongue so we do not attract undue attention."

"I will be known henceforth as Talla."

Madragar/Amanos's voice shifts subtly, revealing the wizard's speech cadence. "We each have names already. Names that are either Moagaran or closely related. Why not use those to avoid confusion? Our own time is centuries in the future."

"I have thought of that." says Sekestia. "However if we are able to shift through time, our enemies may also. What we are doing here will affect all of Moagara's history as well as that of our own. We cannot let a name from another time betray our purpose."

"Hmmmm" Says Pogar, as Nryl in human shape. Surpressing the urge to let Pogar out, Nryl says quietly "As you request, great Noble, I shall be known as 'Aernoth'"

Re: my what large teeth you have....
At last the wagon rumbles to a stop, again. The encounter with the caravan warden is anti-climactic. A dusty, ruffled old man shuffles out of a central tent and after a brief introduction sends the companions on their way.

"Ertrani, eh? You're expected. Go down this road here and at the first gate seek out Rhalaan. He'll see you're settled."

Without so much as a casual inspection of the wagon, the companions mosey along toward the massive tent city. The place is swarming with animals and men, wagons and camels loaded high with an infinite variety of goods. It takes most of the afternoon for the slow wagon to crawl across the plain to the nearest gate of the "city" though it is nothing more than a gap in the wall of tents that form the outside perimeter of the temporary settlement.

The smell of so many living things moving about, sweating in the afternoon sun is almost overpowering. The energy and vitality of the Moagari, however, is irresistable. They are clearly a thriving and adventurous people, eager to depart for their new home in the east.

After negotiating their way through a gaggle of grim-faced riders at the gate, the companions are introduced to Rhalaan who appears to be a well respected chieftain of some kind. He in turn leads them through the densely packed streets of the tent city to an empty enclosure surrounded on three sides by a kind of high cloth fence. The area is a square about one hundred feet on a side and provides ample room for the companions to park their wagon, hitch their horses, and pitch their tents.

Before departing Rhalaan indicates a much larger enclosure only a few hundred feet away across an open field. He says that it where Ogdalaan lives and that the Great Chieftain will be feasting at sunset. The companions are invited.

Re: my what large teeth you have....
As Rhaalan turns to leave, after inviting the group, Nryl bows and says "Your offer is kind and generous."

Turning to the rest of the group, after Rhaalan leaves, Nryl says "Good thing, Im famished. Its been a while since I've gotten ta taste some good meat" with a little bit of Pogar breaking through the exterior.

After the tents have been set up, Nryl will scan around the area and drink in the sites before him. The ocean of tents settled in unison and a happy little town before them.

"Little do they know" Nyrl thinks to himself, somewhat amused of his human "transformation".

"I have given thought and wonder," whispers Madragar/Amanos, "to what force propels us as it does. Is it the Lightbringers themselves, or some other force, some ancient spell matrix of the dragonnewts? And why, I wonder, did the golem seek...whom it sought?"

"I do not like unseen hands."

"I shall go by Savud" says Draxim/Tauros. "Hopefully, I will be able to live up to the name. "

Tauros begins pitching the tents, ensuring that their cache of priceless weapons remains hidden in the process. He also makes a proper show of grunting and groaning over things that would be heavy for him if he were Draxim.

"I wonder where we can wash off the dust of the road? If we are going to meet this chief, we should look more respectable."

Re: my what large teeth you have....
Draxim/Tauros/Savud looks around for a source of water but finds none beyond the low trough used to water the horses. Looking at the flow of traffic outside the enclosure, as Moagari tribesmen walk and ride by in an endless dusty parade, he feels less concerned by the layer of dirt on his clothes and exposed skin. The Moagari don't appear to bathe, or at least don't very frequently.

From the hot and crowded roadway a rider soon approaches. Atop a small but well groomed pony sits a young boy not more than seven years old. He rides well and in a few seconds is cantering his mount through the companions' camp. The boy is clearly the son of someone important within the tribe as his head, neck and fingers are festooned with silver and gold jewelry. He even wears a shirt of shining bronze and iron scales, each one intricately carved and decorated with animal motifs and meandering spirals. In his left hand the boy holds a lance upon which flutters a long green and red banner.

The stranger maneuvers his pony through the companions' camp, often passing uncomfortably close to one person or another. The pony's tail even manages to swat Nryl in the face as it passes.

"You don't smell as bad as the others," the boy says imperiously, sitting high in the saddle though still only a bit taller than the disguised dragonewts. Looking down at Tauros he jabs his lance in the direction of the companions' cargo.

"What is in the chests?"

""We are emissaries from the Ertrani and our king has called on the Moagari for aid to rid our land of the Shadow Folk. The chests are for the Chief and Queen of the Moagari." Lothos/Sangraal replies to the young boys inquiries.

"What noble family do you hail from?"

[OOC: Diplomancy +6 The kid is obviously a noblemens brat and Lothos will attempt to assuage his ego without creating a scene. Can't have a ten year old with a lance on a temper tantrum. ]

Re: my what large teeth you have....
Turning his mount with his knees, the boy trots over to where Lothos is securing a tent rope. He raises himself up in the saddle and declares proudly "I am the heir of Vras Tenherds, and Ogdalaan is my grandfather. I am called Hralma."

Lothos ties off the tent rope and then offers a deep bow.

"I am honored to meet you Hralma of Vras Tenherds, scion of Ogdalaan. Your name and family proceed you. Your mother,Queen Yalai, is who we seek. "

[OOC:Diplomacy +6

Is this Hralma of the paindrinkers? Hmmm, getting interesting.

Re: my what large teeth you have....
Hralma doesn't seem to hear or care about Lothos' last comment. His attention swiftly returns to the chests.

"I am told you bring a reward for my grandfather, precious gifts. Is that what is in that chest? I would like to see them."
