Re: my what large teeth you have....
Nryl/Pogar steps forth and gives Hralma a deep bow. Within the deep recesses of Nryls brain, Pogar screams in objection to bowing to this young brat. Pogar would rather slap him silly. Yet, the greater good will be achieved and Pogars thoughts slowly recess.

"Young master" Nryl states "As much as we would enjoy to perk your young curiosity, these gifts are for your grandfather, it shall be his decision, if you are to see the gifts. Young sir, I pray you well, nor do I state this in any disrespect, it is our way, please accept my humblest of apolgoies" Nryl finishes still in a humbled bow.

"And you shall see them when you stand at your grandfathers side when he recieves them. Our orders are to present them to the King and Queen. Surely, you do not wish for us to raise the ire of our lord and yours? If we can follow you to your grandfather we can present them immediatly." Sangraal/Lothos says politely.

Re: my what large teeth you have....
Tauros bites his tounge at the youth's impetuousness. I'd like to see what's in those chests myself he thinks to himself.

At the revelation that this is in fact Hralma Tenherds, he gets even quieter. He tries to keep the astonishment off of his face, and the worship out of his eyes. A single tear rebels from his control emanating from the powerful surge of religious zeal coursing through him. He reaches for the comfort of his blue handkerchief, groping for a moment for the grimy cloth which is of course lying on another, shorter body in a far off time. He puts his dusty hand to his eye when the boy looks away, but finds no wetness there. Dragonnewts dont' cry. The tear was simply a projection of his subconcious mind. He swallows and composes himself better, saying a silent prayer of thanks to Urox for placing him in the presence of his most famous disciple.

Look Ruig. He thinks to himself. There he is. I wish you were here to meet him. You would know what to say. I sure don't. If this is death, then I guess I at least led a half decent life.

Hralma
Hralma stares at Lothos for a moment, his index finger lightly tapping the pommel of his saddle while the youth contemplates... something. Finally, with the barest motion of a shrug, Hralma turns and rides back into the flow of traffic passing by the companions' enclosure.

[The feast is in an hour or two. Any preparations?]

Re: Hralma
"Fascinating," says Madragar/Amanos, watching the hero-to-be ride away. "Tread lightly with that one, gentlemen."

[Scott - Madragar will check to see just what his access to spells is in this form (normal, I imagine?) and Amanos will stay always near the wagon and his precious klanth...his soul, after all.]

[He has his spells but no material components. -GM]

Re: Hralma
Looking at Amanos with a curious look, Nryl turns to watch the young man ride away. Nryl moves closer to Amanos.

"That pompus child is one to tread lightly with, why do you say that?" Nryl asks quietly.

[Nryl will also stay close to the gifts. It is his duty to keep the treasure safe. Also, he wants to be close to his weapons as well, like Amanos]

Re: Hralma
Sangraal looks at Pogar and says quitely " He in time will defeat the paindrinkers. He'll use a bigger lance but he'll do it all the same."

[OOC: check out the history]

Note that is a story that Pogar has probably never heard. -GM]

Re: Hralma
Madragar outlines the story of Hralma for Pogar, quietly so as to ensure that none of the Moagarii overhear him.

"...and that appears to be the very lad we just met," says Madragar/Amanos. "We seem to have traveled to a nexus of sorts in history. I suspect that something will happen soon that contains the probability of derailing that boy's rise to greatness. Though I cannot tell what force has sent us here,it is clearly not without reason."

Re: Hralma
Finally collecting himself from his reverie, Draxim/Tauros says, "maybe we were supposed to give him whatever's in those boxes there?"

Then as an aside to Amanos, " what's a neck-sis?"

Re: Hralma
As Amanos/Madragar retells the story of Hralma, Nryl/Pogar stares in the general direction of the boy who has since faded from view. Looking at Sangraal and Madragar, in human flesh as DragonNewts, Pogar whispers "That pompas gurrows dung will be him?"

Shaking his head in disbelief, Pogar decides that all this is just too much for his head to handle. "We'r back in the minds n bodies of these dragon newts, way back in the past....Im no believin it" he says to himself. Finally, turning to his friends, he motions them to gather around.

"Im here, but Im no believin all thats happenin to us." He starts out, sounding much more like Pogar than anything else, yet his voice is melodic as a human bard. "Ima ask fer yer help in this time, help me keep tha course cuz Ima lost..." Again, he shakes his head.

"As fer the treasure, I agree, we should remain on course and only give the treasure to the chieftain" Pogar finishes, obviously reverting back to Nryls mindset.

time bandits... don't touch it its evil.
A slight nod indicates Sangraal agreement with Madragars assumption.

"It might not be so clear cut but everyone keeps thier eyes and ears open. "
Turning to Khelzhad:
" Song wise do you recall any myths or tale of an attack on the hero Hralma when he was but a boy? or any tale pertaining to this event in time?"

[OOC: Sangraal will ponder his own knowledge base to see if he knows anything. Maybe the shadow cults tried to kill Hralmas father to prevent the Moagari from coming to help?

Neither Sangraal nor Khelzhad know anything of Hralma, or of the Moagari, before they crossed the Nral river.

Still not fully understanding the awe that everyone else has, Pogar will just pat "Draxim" on his shoulder to comfort him.

Feast
After an hour or two, just as a crimson sun touches the western horizon, the companions are approached by a pair of Moagaran warriors. After allowing the companions to gather up the hefty chest containing the "gifts," the escorts lead them down a wide, tent-lined avenue along which many small groups of tribesmen and herders are just sitting down for their evening meals. The nomads are talkative and only spare a few interested glances toward the strangers passing by.

Soon the procession comes to a huge tent, some hundred feet in diameter and supported by a latticework of wooden poles around its perimeter. The tent is completely open on one side and through this opening the companions are led. Interestingly enough the entire structure is supported only by its exterior poles, each of which comes together at the peak of the tent, bound by a circle of wood some six feet in diameter. A wide fire pit, now settled to a bed of glowing coals, dominates the center of the space and on this a gang of cooks are preparing the evening's meal.

Opposite the tent opening, and across the fire pit, stands a pair of ornate wooden thrones - one much larger and more elaborate than the other. They are of dark wood and lovingly decorated with gold leaf and silver embellishments. There are no other chairs in the tent and the large circle of carpets and pillows around the fire seems to indicate than none but Ogdalaan and his queen are to be properly seated during the feast. The two leaders of the Moagari are not in presence.

The companions are led to an area to the left of the thrones where a cluster of pillows is gathered around a very low circular table. Elsewhere around the fire pit other groups of tribesmen have gathered and are all lounging on the floor, engaged in their own conversations around their own low round tables.

Re: Feast
Tauros sits with care as Draxim's brain overcomes his body's instinctive desire to compensate for a tail when sitting. He immediately starts looking around for anyone who might be a Xorn.

[ How would I notice a Xorn anyway? Anything in Tauros or Draxim's memory banks about that? ]

Re: Feast
[Remind me...exactly who are the dragonnewts supposed to be emissaries from? Does the Moagari chieftain know we're supposed to be dragonnewts?]

[Check out the first message in the thread. -GM]

[So...the Ertrani are human? I thought they might be a dragonnewt clan.]

[They're human. In fact, Ertrani is another name for the Shieldings who, in Madragar's time, live east and south of Moagara. -GM]
