[Can the door be closed again? If so, Khelzhad will close it so that they are not perceived by the elemental when it is done with the mutant fungi.]

[It can and he does. -GM]

Re: Fire
"It does sound real similar Bard. I spose a long journey from Old Kurlew to here might not be noticed much by a Giant such as himself. Course the way that things have been shifted, I guess anything's possible. I always thought that the passage was sealed behind that lock we found with the dials. And there was a great chasm there too. We didn't think that lock was too simple, and it seemed like we shouldn't go in there anyway, seein' as how the Lightbringers themselves warned us off, but I guess to one such as Edrigan it might seem a simple lock. Anyways those footprints that Atan found sure sound like Giant ..." Draxim stops abruptly to watch the Battle in the Mold Room, until Khelzhad closes the door.

"Hey! I was quite enjoyin' that! Why'd ya close it?"

Re: Fire
From beyond the stone door the companions hear the muffled sounds of combat between the psychic fungi and the fire elemental - a bizarre and cacophonous song that is quite unlike anything they've ever heard before.

[Another round goes by.]

Re: Fire
As the battle rages behind the door, Pogar wishes that he could watch the battle but he trusts what his cousin said. Knowing nothing of elementals and magic, Pogar will heed to those that know better.

As the companions stand around Pogar breaks the silence.

"What er we ta do now?"

Re: Fire
Clanking down the hallway Sangraal goes back to the intersection and keeps an eye out to make sure nothing is sneeking up on the party while its waiting.

[OOC: Move silently -6: Mr. silent goes down to the end ofhte hallway and keeps watch. If someone more appropriate wants to do it then Sangraal lets them. ]

Re: Fire
Beyond the door, the battle continues. An enraged roar proves to the curious that the elemental both has a voice and feels pain. Its furnace-like body consumes air and burns its enemies.

Re: Fire
Draxim gives the over-protective bard a dirty look. "I bet you the type who'd cover yer ears during the naughty bits of 'Ballad of the Bearded Blondie' "

He continues straining to hear what is going on in the room, "Sounds like what me pappy used to call a 'devastating conflagration' !" he smiles.

Dandillions with fangs
Sangraal making his way back to the group leans over the dwarves listening at the door and whispers.

"Yelm help us if those plants win."

Madragar smiles at this. "That," he says, "is what the doors are for."

Re: Dandillions with fangs
The sounds of combat beyond the door fade away as the fire elemental seems to move out of the fungus filled room. Soon all is silent.

Draxim opens the door a sliver and scans the room with his darkvision. He can't see much of the balcony from the doorway so takes a few cautious steps into the fungal forest. The elemental is clearly gone, as are all three of the undulating stalks on the balcony. There is some smoke from the lingering fires left by the blazing creature, and some of it appears to be coming from the corridor that travels north from the balcony.

The subterranean complex is once again silent and dark.

"Let's follow it."

Ulwe carefully treads into the fungus jungle, javelin at the ready, careful to stand where the elemnetal has burned a path.

Re: Dandillions with fangs
[There are four exits from the room: the secret door, the blocked stone doors, a corridor on the same level as the armory, and a corridor on the same level as the balcony.

The elemental appears to have gone down the corridor that is on the same level as the balcony.]

Broiled in Butter
"How long will that spirit 'o lovely fire hang around? Will it attack us?"

[Madragar cannot gauge the power of whoever originally summoned the fire elemental and bound it within the crystal, so how long it will stick around is hard to tell. Probably not more than a few minutes in any case.

Also, without the one that summoned it in presence, the elemental will probably attack anyone it considers a threat until it returns to its home realm. -GM]

Re: Broiled in Butter
Eager to catch up to the amazing fire elemental, after seeing the devistation that it caused Pogar smiles and turns to Draxim and says "Dunno, but we'r gonna find out, lad" then storms into the room to follow the elemental. However, he is not stupid enough to get right up on the elemental.

He will stand back, if he does come up on the elemental, and just watch.

[OOC: I edited this after Skuta added his part, but it was not edited for what he said. I meant to add this in prior, but got caught up in work and when I saw what I had wrote, I also saw a burning crisp of what Pogar once was. If the edit is too late, then let me know and will remove it....]

Re: Broiled in Butter
Once in the room and he see's that its empty, Pogar will turn to the rest of the group and wave them on. He will then turn and look at the bald mage, wink, then move off up the balcony.
