Re: The burned man
"The Gorgon's accomplice was responsible for securing the machines, and to arrange for their defense, while the Shadow chased those precious disks," Tsai Zhuun explains. "He is a foul servant of Salhaug called Ckarakos - a Valgorah of unusual size and power. I have no doubt that there will be many Ilbog slaves ready to lay down their lives, and other corrupted creatures of the deep."

Re: The burned man
At the mention of the Ilbog, Pogar's demeanor obviously grows dark. After spending that little time with the Ilbog, Pogar feels that they are honorable creatures, and for a dwarf, honor is commendable. Yet, with Pogar's natural whim, Pogar also feels that they are too honorable.
"Fight'n fer chaos'd never be a choice meself. Me thinks this'll be a difficult run fer us Pogar thinks to himself, then immediately stops. Forgetting for a moment, that this burned man can read minds.

Re: The burned man
Also lost in thought, Khelzhad wonders if their power will be sufficient. But before despair can set in his mind wanders back to the memory of the Dagger's assault on the Tooth - the feeling of wholeness and joy of battle against the enemies of Light. His spirits are lifted and his resolve is set to journey into darkness, accepting that they have been chosen for this task long ago. He finally speaks the sum of his thoughts:
"May we do our ancestors proud."

Re: The burned man
As Khelzhad speaks his mind, Pogar, with his head down in slight mourning for the Ilbog, his mind races back to the time that Khelzhad and he left their kingdom.
"Aye, Lad" is all Pogar says. With the smiling faces of those dwarven kin that left on the orignial voyage to never return, Pogar steels himself. May be joinin ye all Pogar thinks to himself.
Although the thought of dying does not settle well with anyone, Pogar, having faced death in its face many times before, only to be brought back by either Sangraal or Ulwe, Pogar is not really concerned with dying. His new resolve, is to stop this Dawn of Drowning.

If you can read my mind, sorcerer, thinks Madragar, then you know this is not over. No rest will you have until I am satsified of the truth of my master's fate. This I swear.

[I haven't been too strict on this one. All the maps I've given you are oriented with the top of the map being north, and between Atan, Janes, and the dwarves they can intuit the major points of a compass.]

"Madragar, I have heard and read hints that the armor we wear contains hidden powers. Any way you can discern what they are?" Sangraal asks.
[OOC: Can you identify the armor, the abilities will help us greatly going into the big fight. ]

"We have until the new moon two days hence. Though perhaps we should not cut it so close as that. The sooner we stop these entrepos machines the better. Yet I do also believe we may benefit from a nights rest to better our chances at full strength."

Re: The burned man
"A nights rest would help us now that we know where we need to go.", agrees Atan. "Though in this place tainted by Chaos or sleep may not be too restful."

Re: The burned man
Pogar will move away from the group and will set his pack down. He rumages through it for a moment until he finds what he is looking for.
"Bah!" he vents for his meal is unaccompanied by some strong mead, something which Pogar would really like to have at the moment.
As he tears into the jerked meat and crumbs from his stale bread litter his stomach, Pogar will try to get as comfortable as he can and set himself to sleep, so he can be alert for the nights guard.

Re: The burned man
Madragar picks a comfortable spot within the desolation and concentrates on the armor he wears, delving into its secrets. The answers come easily...
[
Minor Power: Madragar's armor has a moderate protective enchantment (+2) and is significantly lighter and more flexible than normal armor of its kind.
Minor Power: At will, the wearer can benefit from a Protection from Chaos spell, cast at 10th level.

Sangraal offers up his armor to Madragar.
"What enchantment does it carry?"
[OOC: Nolan can you do an attunement on Sangraal armor?]
