[Right, yes. Everyone's armor has the same at will, Protection from Chaos ability. Everyone has their full compliment of spells for the day. -GM]

[ooc: sorry for the player perspective but: Ulwe does not know for sure if Atan can cast Detect Poison Spell (nor do I for that matter) But it is on the Ranger spell list. If Atan can cast the detect poisons, Then Sangraal and Ulwe can save their 0 level spells to make water and cure minors etc... So if Atan can cast Detect Poison, he should. ]
Ulwe hesitates before praying to see if the foodstuffs and potions have been tainted. He looks to Atan and asks: "Can you tell if our stores have been poisoned? I have a feeling I will be asking much of Orlanth this day, and whatever you can do to lighten the load will help."

Khelzhad spends the "morning" looking through the debris for useful or valuable bits that have been left behind in the Haven when it fell.

Without digging too deeply, for fear of burying himself in debris, Khelzhad picks through the rubble. Alas, on the surface, anything of value has long since been plundered. He does find a few bits of bone but can't identify them.

Ulwe helps Zhuun to his feet and tells the strange mage: "It is time we moved on. Get your cane, we are heading out of this chamber and going to the West."
Ulwe then asks the group to place their packs in a pile and proceeds to purify the Companions' Food and Water. [ Purify food and drink purifies 3 cubic feet of food and water. ]
With a final thought to activate his Protection from Chaos, he is amazed to see the spidery Elven script invoking Orlanth's protection upon his armor glow momentarily then fill him with a feeling of security and well being.
[Marines we are leaving! The party heads out the way they came in and heads West.

As the Companions partake of their purified vittles, Khelzhad works up a suitable ode for setting out to a near certain death:

[Atan does not have standard spells, the same I thinkas the other divine spell users. He can however delay anyones death should they choose to drink the water.]
Atan arises with Sangraal to greet the unseen dawn. Joining in short prayer, he quietly pays homage to Yelm.
Walking over to the old lunar, he helps him to and handing over the mages cane as well.
"We are moving soon. Best be ready", he says. "Here is some trail bread. It is hard as Poagar's head, but is sustaining. Take some cheese as well."
Once he rolls up the bed roll he cinchs it to his backpack which he packed up earlier. Finally he pick sup his Olamnii horn bow and nocks an arrow while quietly invoking the protection of the dragonnewts. The silver sigils protruding above his tunic glow briefly then dull.
With slight smile, "Let's find this machine and wreck it."

The group heads west down the corridor just outside the "haven," as Tsai Zhuun called it. The hall passes by a second doorway into the large chamber which the companions had ample opportunity to inspect during the night. Just past the door the corridor turns left where it rises up a short staircase and terminates in a heavy stone door.

Khelzhad offers Janes and Madragar the torches he constructed the prior eve, but for himself uses his native darkvision so that he can work his crossbow in the rearguard.

As the troop rises, Pogar is comfortably resting, but watchful over his friends.
When the time comes, Pogar silently takes the front, next to Sangraal and marches forth. As his cousin sings his song, Pogar is lighthearted and eager to bring honor to his kin, by having his cousin sing songs of the groups heroics.

As Sangraal finishs his morning prayers ( or at least what he considers morning) he asks Tsai Zhuun,
"What can we expect when we reach where ever we are going? What allies do you think the shadow will have at hand? Tsai Zhuun we'll need you to inform us when we are close so we may prepare ourselves for the battle to come. Can you do that?"

"The Gorgon's accomplice was responsible for securing the machines, and to arrange for their defense, while the Shadow chased those precious disks," Tsai Zhuun explains. "He is a foul servant of Salhaug called Ckarakos - a Valgorah of unusual size and power. I have no doubt that there will be many Ilbog slaves ready to lay down their lives, and other corrupted creatures of the deep."
He seems to imply that because Ckarakos was in charge of securing the entropos machines that the Gorgon didn't concern himself with any possible defenses Ckarakos might have set up.
"I will warn you, but be on your guard. This place has long been a haven for Chaos and there is no knowing what may lie ahead."

Draxim requests the privilege of marching up front next to Pogar. "I'm easier to shoot over, and it will give me a better chance to see any traps." He offers gamely. Clearly a transparent attempt to protect both of the party's clerics as much as possible. Draxim has been turning into quite the mother hen lately. Unless there is an objection from Sangraal, they will switch places.
