Hearing the talk of using the Fire Elementals, Pogar turns to Ulwe, who is the closest to him, he growls "Here" as he hands off his sword.
Quickly turning Pogar storms off, amdist the chaos, and grabs Atan, hefts him to his shoulder and moves towards the door, moving close to Draxim to drag him out with him.

Sangraal begins backing up.
"Hold on friends. These twisted creatures took time to grow, the fungus on the floor covers old footprints but we saw none that are new. They all point that this room has not been entered in a while. That means the shadow cults did not come this way. Lets back out, shut the door lick our wounds and continue. Do not waste the fire cage here."

"There is another way we have not scouted yet." Sangraal points back down the hall.
"If you walk a path and thorny brush has grown across the path what does that tell you? It tells you no one has come that way in a while. If we are ahead of the shadow cults that lets take some time to scout all possible routes. We know if they come to the plant room they will have the same troubles we did."

Draxim will back out of the room with the others when he can, and prepare another flask of oil from his pack. He will also place another in an easy to grab location.
"Anyone else want a flask of oil? I have 2 more."

[Sounds like everyone backs into the corridor. Sadly, Ulwe has already acted this turn...]
All three of the tall stalks snap in the air and Ulwe is knocked clean over, twin tears of blood leaking out of his eye sockets. With Pogar's greatsword leaning up against him the elf priest falls into a mercifully soft patch of slick black mushrooms.
[Next round. Draxim is still in the room but is no longer stunned. Ulwe is also in the room, but is now stunned. Everyone else is in the corridor. Go.]

Pogar, seeing Ulwe attacked, is shocked and angered at the same time. As Pogar slides Atan off of his shoulder, Pogar turns and grabs his great sword and trys to drag Ulwe back out the corridor.
[full move in to get both sword and Ulwe, I am not sure if Pogar has enough to go back out but if so he will. ]

A path is quickly forming between the secret door and the center of the chamber with all the running back and forth. Pogar has no trouble running in, grabbing Ulwe as well as his greatsword, and hauling both back out of the room.
[Being stunned isn't the same as being unconscious anyway. It's more like staggered. Pogar can drag/push Ulwe out of the room. Besides, he's damn strong.]
Draxim finally regains his senses and stumbles out of the chamber.
[Everyone is now in the corridor, out of sight of the psychic stalks. Draxim and Pogar have acted for this particular round.]

Ulwe shakes his head to clear it from the stunning blow he recieved from the psychic fungus.
"Burn the place." Says Ulwe flatly
Nodding to Madragar, Ulwe repeats himself. "Call forth the Fire-one. Burn the place clean."

Madragar is shocked to recall the tale that Atan tells. But that was Slaeg Gnara, and this...this isn't. Is it? The twists of time have left him unsure. Could that drama now have played out here?
Madragar realizes that Ulwe is talking to him and snaps out of his reverie. He hurls the Fire Cage. "Let it burn and be cleansed," he says.

Fire
The finely crafted iron cage arcs through the mushroom jungle, bounces off a pile of dark blue lichen and strikes a corner of the stone staircase. In a flash of orange light the crystal containing the bound creature shatters and the fire elemental explodes into the room, withering all the fungi in its vicinity.
Instantly three loud snaps echo through the chamber as the undulating stalks launch their attack. The fiery monstrosity shrugs off the psychic assault and flies up the staircase with alarming speed. The thing has only the most vague humanoid form, though in motion it is nothing but a swirling mass of living fire.
The elemental passes by the southern-most stalk and burns it to ashes in seconds.
[Anyone that wants to act for the round can do so. Otherwise I'll just continue this hot monster-on-monster action. Map updated.]

Turning to his cousin and in answer to his question Pogar says "Look'n like yer no gettin yer answer now". With a good natured pat on the shoulder, Pogar smiles and turns his attention to the battle in the room.
[OOC: Wasnt the story that [] remembered, wasnt that in Old Kerlow(sp greatly off). But wasnt that "great chasam" in the castle that Koraeus made his home? Or am I just smoking crack again?]
