"Aye, but yer no be knowin fer sure." Pogar says to Tsai. Scratching his beard, Pogar thinks for a moment then says "What'd happen if'n we toss'd a rock inta the pool? Would'a big beasty come n eat us?" Pogar asks, anyone in particular.

Re: 1+1+1 = EVIL!
Khelzad backs up away from the dais.
"Let's not test it, cousin, or we may end up with more trouble that we want at this point. Madragar, Tzai - do you know of a way to turn it off? If not I say we leave it for now and continue the search for the machines."

Re: 1+1+1 = EVIL!
Sangraal takes heed of Tsai's warning and steps away from the pool.
" Lets get out of here, this place is probably the festering wound that corrupted this place."
"If Madragar doesn't want to try to open the magical locked door then upon leaving this room lets turn left and head west."
Madragar speaks up at that very moment
"The door will be a great test of my strength. let me try to unravel the arcane knot that binds the door."
[OOC: Nolan hasnt posted in 3 days. If Sangraal can become a band-aid in my absence, then Madragar can become a locksmith. Lets get back to the door and open it! ]

"No, I disagree my Dwarven friends. Let us try the door. Madragar can break its enchantment and allow us entry. You can help him Song-Wise with a tune to keep him focused."

[As long as a skill check is involved, then IC can give a + 2 bonus. Otherwise it just makes the target feel better, as in the case of Tzai.]
[It isn't a skill check. -GM]

"We should explore as Tzai has said. To the south or west as we are able. If that door is the path, Mad can surely unlockits mystery."
[Little confused by the map but ATan wants to expeditiously move inthe direction indicated by the Lunar mage. If it leads to the door great, if not we should move on. Locked doors work both ways, keeps things in and out.]

Re: 1+1+1 = EVIL!
The sun priest speaks up.
"Tsai led us to the door and said that was the way. If Madragar stands a chance to open it we should have him try. Wandering in another direction without exhusting the possiblity of opening the magical locked door doesn't make sense."
[OOC; Back to the locked door. if Madragar fails to open it then we can go the other way. If you think about it it makes the most comon sense. ]
[Tsai actually said it was a way, not the way. Just sayin. -GM]

Re: 1+1+1 = EVIL!
"Janes, if I could open this door I would, as I am sure Sangraal would if he could. We cannot. Madragar can, so he should try. Though it would make more sense for the mage to attempt it even if we priests could: our spells can save a life, so we should conserve them for when they are most needed. Our wise Madragar had the foresight, and ability to pen many of his spells in advance. For that I am thankful."

"Seems like we are all of two minds. Atan, Khelzhad, and me say go down this hall to the west, and you clerics think we should go back to the door and try it. Hmm. Atan you're the captain, but you don't sound too convinced. What do you think Pogar? Janes? Madragar? Tsai?"
Madragar shrugs. [ unless Scott comes back ]

Re: 1+1+1 = EVIL!
[He has to attempt a dispell magic. Nobody can help him. I think... ]
Madragar opens his pouch of scrolls and finds the one with the spell to dispell magic written on it. With a steely glare, the bald mage reads the incantation and tries his mettle against the unknown sorcerer who placed the arcane lock upon the stone portal...

Re: 1+1+1 = EVIL!
The companions retrace their steps, passing through the fungus room and walking past the Haven, finally arriving at the short staircase leading to the magically locked door. After a few nonsensical arcane words and an enigmatic gesture Madragar casts his spell and, very much against the odds, he is successful. The persistant abjuration on the portal dissipates with an audible sigh.

Re: 1+1+1 = EVIL!
As the companions discuss back and forth the way to go, Pogar starts to get a little irritated. Knowing that time is against us, he is a bit frustrated that the party is going back to a door that we had just left from.
But, cursing under his breath, Pogar will follow.
