Re: Underground
[Absolutely! Plus the tumble itself is cool. Do you have Cleave or Combat Reflexes? I think you might need them shortly.]

Re: Underground
[OOC: Excellent, not enough tumbling in this game! Last good tumble I saw was on D&D the cartoon, man was she sexy. The stupid little unicorn tripped her up one time and the Dungeon master gnome dude had to save her. ]

Re: Underground
After Draxim tumbles past (and daws teh AoO) Ulwe hustles past the undead legionairre blocking his way and moves up to the corner of the portal. (2 E ) Once there, he continues brandishing his holy symbol and adds Orlanth's might to Yelm's fury to banish the undead. [turn attempt]

Ulwe uses his dodge focus on the first Legionairre to attack him.

Re: Underground
[OOC: I plan to do a lot more tumbling, even though Draxim is by no metric, sexy. Also I don't have Combat Reflexes or Cleave or even Power Attack for that matter. I might get Combat Reflexes down the line though. Also, I have never watched that cartoon. Well maybe once. ]

Re: Underground
[I was wrong about Sangraal being high enough level to destroy these undead. Last turn attempt was a freebie.]

Sangraal tries to move southeast but runs into a zombie instead. Still, the aura of divine fury that surrounds him clears ample space. A wave of undead legionnaires recoils from Sangraal's holy symbol, their rotting facing twisting into horrid expressions of terror and despair.

Madragar, returning from the rear eschelon, drags Druuga along with him, the unfortunate henchman loudly mumbling and coughing into his gag as they go.

Pogar swings around the southern edge of the party's formation and moves to flank the nearest zombie. The thing lashes out at him as he goes, but its ancient blade simply rings off the dwarf's battle-worn mail.

Grinning evilly, Pogar puts his back to the thick wooden door and readies a powerful swing. His battleaxe falls upon the legionnaires broad shield and snaps neatly just below the axe head. For a moment the deadly, spinning projectile bounces around the confined space before coming to rest somewhere among the marching feet of the zombie shield wall.

Dodging past Pogar, his Ghuraskalli cousin looking with profound sadness at his ruined axe, Draxim comes up behind the legionnaire. In a single stroke he cuts a wide smile in the thing's torso, sending the whole pile of mail, weapons, and dessicated flesh to the flagstones in a dusty heap.

The companions continue to gain ground as Ulwe advances and shoves his holy symbol in the face of the undead battle line. In unison the front four legionnaires howl in abject horror and flee from the priest.

[Map updated. Khelzhad, Atan.]

Re: Underground
Khelzhad draws his sword to aid in his defense, but Draxim makes quick work of the unholy corpse before he can raise the blade. Instead he hands the longsword to Pogar, before the sensitive brute had a chance to dwell on his broken axe. Removing the steel round shield from his shoulder, he urges Pogar forward with the finely crafted, if unfamiliar weapons.

"The weapons do not matter cousin, only battle! Use them well!"

Still reeling in pain from the bolt in his thigh, Khezlahd bends his will to the task at hand and reloads his crossbow, steeling his resolve with memory of Tagh Karach and his noble kin.

[give sword and shield to Pogar, reload]

Re: Underground
[Pogar still has a shield, but does not have an axe anymore...*sniff* Thats gotta suck, right in the middle of battle, the weapon falls apart. They dont make weapons like they used to. I remember when......]

[Pogar does, however, have a sidearm. -GM]

[OK, then, Khelzad does not hand the sword and board to Pogar, and reloads and shoots instead at #12]

Re: Underground
[OOC: I meant SW not SE. Oh well. Sangraals first turn used his special power Destroy Undead so no freebie needed. But if you want to give it to me then I'll use Destroy Undead this turn:)

Re: Underground
Staring at the adorned head of his newly acquired axe, Pogar is astonished. As Draxim finishes off the undead that Pogar was sure was his kill, Pogar reaches into his belt and wields his dagger.

As Khelzhad sheaths the sword, Pogar eyes it lustfully then reaches for it.

"I'd do more damage with that" he says with his hand on the Pommel of the sword "than wi' this tiny thing"

[Pogar would like to grab the sword off of Khelzhad and use it, instead of the dagger, if at all possible :) ]

Re: Underground
[Don't know where Halle is, but since we're waiting for him, if the GM wants orders for Atan, the ranger takes careful aim over Ulwe's shoulder and fires off two flaming shots at #23.]

[+9 / 2d6+2+1d6(fire)] (same as last time)
[-4 to hit for cover (Ulwe)]

[2d6? What the hell is he firing?]

Re: Underground
Continuing his move forward, he threads his way between Khlezhad and Ulwe while setting another arrow to his bow string. "Right behind you, Drax", he announces so as not to spook the concentraiting dwarf.

With fluidity of well practiced movement, he draws... pauses....and releases the arrow quickly. The arrow passing over Draxim's right shoulder at the undead legionaire no more then twenty feet away.

[move 5E, 1 SE shoot #20 +10/2d6+4+ Madragars spell (+1 PB feat/+1 vs undead/+1d6 vs undead/+2 str)]

Re: Underground
Draxim returns Pogar's recent gift: The short sword that turns an enemies blood to poison.

"The poison won't work on these walking corpses cousin, but she's still as fine a blade as I've ever seen. Sorry for stealin' yer kill," he adds with a grin.

Re: Underground
[ OOC Someone in this party has a magic weapon as a SPARE!!! What the heck is up with that? The one time I was offered a magic item as a pick is was a freakin' ever burning lantern, meanwhile someone is carrying around a backup blade that turns their enemies blood to poison. ]

[Yep, the Grinning Blade is an unpopular weapon for some reason. -GM]
