Re: Underground
"The enchantments I have laid upon each of you will persist for another few minutes," says Madragar, speaking of the Endurance spells. "We must decide whether to hurry on or remain here and heal. If we are to go, we ought to go now."

Madragar goes to fetch Druuga.

Re: It's over...
""My strength wanes as we speak." Sangraal says as his foot makes a squishing noise as he limps forward.

"Blood in my boot." he offers.

"Someone was giving these desicated corpses commands in Luner. So I am afraid that we should heal up and continue. I don't think resting at this point is much of an option. We'd just be a ripe sitting target."

[OOC] Sangraal is almost tapped. He has 3 zero, 1 1st, 1 2nd left. ]

Re: It's over...
[This is 3.0, not 3.5. Endurance, and spells like it, last for hours not minutes.]

Druuga is right where Madragar left him, slumped against a wall and shifting nervously.

Re: It's over...
"Let them come Sangraal!"

Draxim retrieves his pack and pokes about amongst the remains of the once proud legion, searching for anything of interest or value. In particular he searches for legion symbols in hopes that the legion's provenance will provide some clues.

Re: It's over...
It takes Draxim a minute or two to walk back to the statue room, get his pack, and return.

The legionnaires all bear bronze tokens on the belts that indicate their legion (the 12th, called the Sand Leopard Legion), their cohort (3rd), and century (1st). Their armor is in excellent condition, considering how long these soldiers have been dead, each piece of leather and steel meticulously polished and oiled.

Re: It's over...
[Any piece that would fit a barrel chested dwarf?]

Pogar rumages through the corpses and searches for anything that he could use.

Re: It's over...
There are many short swords, large wooden shields, and chain shirts, but no armor that would fit a dwarf.

Re: It's over...
[ I can't imagine that any armor worn by a zombie could still be considered to be in excellent condition. It would probably take days to pick out all the pieces of flesh stuck in there. ]

Re: Underground
Sangraal quitely prays to his lord and upon finishing meanders over to Pogar where he recites a short chant. Lastly he sees to Atan bestoying several small incantations to bind his wounds.

"Ulwe, do you have any healing left?"

[OOC: Sangraal cure mod. 2d8+3
Pogar cure light 1d8+3.
Atan 3 cure minor wounds 3 hps.

I passed out what little healing Sangraal had based on chances of being in melee and total hps.

Re: It's over...
Atan carefully conserves the remaining arrows he has left, while the rest of the companions free the spirits of the legionairres.

Atan look over his wounds, and then at the rest of the party. "How is everybody? Do we have the ability to move forward?"

[If we got healing lets use it and continue. As long as everyone hasn't blown their whole wad, Atan votes to move forward.]

[11 arrows left]

Seeing Atan fretting over his arrows, Draxim offers up his masterwork crossbow as an alternative.

[Hmmm. You're right. 5 hours. We probably have 4 hours and 50 minutes to go.]

Madragar picks up a well-maintained shortsword (gladius?) and sticks it in his belt, scabbard and all. Having given his advice, he leaves the decisions to Atan. While he waits, he drags the soldiers' corpses into a corner, composing them with as much dignity as his haste can manage, whispering a word of prayer over each as he does so.

Re: It's over...
"Purple light - not a good sign," mutters the bard to himself as he limps back to the Companions.

"Atan, it seems I have picked up a small splinter in the fray - can you aid me in its removal?" he says, gesturing to the crossbow bolt protruding from his thigh, now covered in his own crimson blood.

As Draxim goes to retrieve his pack, the game-legged Khelzhad asks a favor that he pick up the second flask of oil that he left near the column.

Re: It's over...but the crying
Atan looks at the dwarf's wounds and with the help of Ulwe quickly removes the "splinter" and binds the wound. Finishing a rough pressure wrap on his leg he answers to Ulwe concerns, "Purple light. Last time we saw that was just days ago, above the pools holding those vile corruptions of chaos. Get ready, we may find more, and some of their blue guardians."

Atan picks up his bow he had set down next to Kelzhad. "Janes guard those doors," refering to the western set of double door sthe party just came through, "Pogar cover the northern tunnel. Everybody else give this room a quick once over."

[During the search(+6) Atan polls each of the party as to if they want to move forward. Atan votes yes. But are the spellcasters drained to nothing?]

[Atan aids Ulwe in healing Khelzhad. Ulwe has a bette roll so it works better if Atan supports him.]

"Doesn't matter," says Madragar of his depleted spells. "We seem to be ahead of our enemies for once. We must preserve this lead. I believe we should press on."

Re: It's over...but the crying
The chamber itself has few secrets, so the companions' search yields nothing but many corpses and a burning siege machine.

Sangraal's prayers help Pogar considerably, but not so much his own wounds.

[Madragar, Ulwe, Draxim, and Pogar are lightly wounded. Sangraal, Atan, and Khelzhad are seriously wounded. Janes is unharmed.]

Re: Underground
After the warming sensation of Yelm's healing, Pogar nods his thanks to Sangraal.

Upon hearing Atans request, Pogar moves out to watch the northern tunnel, making sure that there is nothing back there, that could potentially sneak up on the group.
